About the Opportunity
Are you a creative, proactive individual looking to kickstart or elevate your career in marketing and public relations?
Our 16-Week Professional Development Programme offers an exciting, hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience across the entire marketing spectrum. Rather than shadowing from the sidelines, you will actively contribute to real-life campaigns and work across multiple marketing units—including Social Media, Content Creation, Video, and Website Analytics.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic self-starter eager to develop a strong portfolio, refine tactical marketing skills, and gain valuable experience within the charity sector.
Key Responsibilities

Campaigns & Strategy: Work directly on real-life marketing projects. Participate in planning, developing, organizing, and executing end-to-end marketing strategies.

Social Media Management: Manage and grow Quilombo UK’s social media presence across primary platforms. Draft updates, schedule posts, engage with our community, and respond to incoming messages and comments.

Brand Development: Submit innovative ideas for campaigns and programs designed to enhance, promote, and elevate the organization's brand identity.

Market Research & Insights: Conduct market research using surveys, focus groups, and participant feedback. Analyze data, identify actionable insights, and compile spreadsheets to support strategic decisions for the Directors.

Analytics & Performance Tracking: Monitor website and social media metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and understand user behavior.

Stakeholder & Internal Communication: Interpret briefs from Directors, translate organizational objectives into clear outcomes, and deliver engaging presentations. Contribute your views actively during team meetings.
What We Are Looking For
Essential Skills & Attributes:

Communication & Creativity: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for creative problem-solving.

Social Media Savvy: Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms and online marketing tactics.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in core office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with compiling data.

Organization & Drive: Self-driven with strong time management, prioritization abilities, and attention to detail.

Teamwork & Flexibility: A collaborative attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualities:
