Ranger Cadets is launching across England — a bold, modern, community‑focused uniformed youth organisation with a mission:

To show young people that they can be active citizens, leaders in their communities, and positive forces for change.

We’re building something fresh, meaningful and full of purpose. Now we need Unit Commanding Officers and Deputy Unit Commanding Officers to lead our weekly cadet units and help shape the future of young people in their area.

THE VOLUNTEER ROLE: Lead a Weekly Cadet Unit (7pm–9pm)

One evening a week. Lifelong impact. Real community leadership.

As a Unit Commanding Officer or Deputy Unit Commanding Officer, you will run a local Ranger Cadets unit — a safe, exciting, structured space where young people learn skills, build confidence, and take part in community action.

You will:

• Lead and manage a weekly cadet unit (7pm–9pm).

• Deliver a fun, inspiring, community‑focused programme.

• Support and mentor young people aged 11–21.

• Build a positive, inclusive, encouraging environment.

• Coordinate volunteers and youth leaders.

• Organise activities, challenges, service projects and events.

• Represent Ranger Cadets in your local community.

• Help young people become active citizens who care about their world.

This is hands‑on leadership. This is community impact. This is youth empowerment.

OPPORTUNITIES ACROSS ENGLAND

We are launching units across England and are recruiting leaders in multiple areas. Whether you live in a city, town or rural community — you can apply.

And if you already have a group of young people ready to join? We can fast‑track your unit launch. We’ll work with you to get your cadet unit up and running quickly so your young people can start their journey right away.

If you don’t have a group yet — no problem. Apply for your area and we’ll support you in building your unit.
