We are a small charity trying to make a BIG impact. SUNSHINE is dedicated to bringing people together, spreading joy and community spirit through a range of community-based initiatives that foster connections, enhance wellbeing and transform lives. We especially aim to target those that are at risk and hard to reach living with social isolation who will need access to our charity the most.

We're looking for a volunteer to fill the role of Website Developer and Designer, who can support our small charity make a big difference by creating us an amazing eye catching, stunning, vibrant and uplifting website that will help us create a brand identity for our amazing hard working volunteer run charity.

Starting off with a visually exciting and appealing holding page that will allow us to immediately raise awareness of SUNSHINE and create an online presence for the charity right away, giving us authenticity, while we wait for our charity registration to be completed.

The Treasurer will oversee the financial and assurance matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing documnet and legal requirements. The Treasurer will report to the Board of Trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation to enable the Board to better make strategic decisions. The Treasurer will ensure that effective financial and other risk measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity.

The Chair has the overall purpose of leading the Board, ensuring systems are in place to provide trustees with the support they need to carry out their role effectively and enabling trustees to fulfil their responsibilities for the overall governance and strategic direction of the organisation. This will be done in accordance with the relevant legal and regulatory guidelines/requirements.

Cats are at the centre of everything we do and our objectives are: homing, neutering and educating people about cats and their care.

A bit about this role

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising volunteers use their passion for cats and people to raise the vital funds needed to help more cats and kittens in need. As a fundraising volunteer we want to support you to fundraise in whatever way suits you best – whether that’s organising a fundraising event, fundraising online, promoting fundraising activities on social media, completing administration or supporting the development of new fundraising ideas! Whatever your skill set, this could be the role for you!

What can you expect to be doing?

This is a really flexible role – you can choose what you’d like to get involved with:

·Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins

·Online fundraising – setting up online appeals, increasing social media engagement to maximise funds raised

·Marketing – spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

·Completing administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

·Championing our work – getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

You will develop new skills, expand your knowledge and make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens by helping raise vital funds through fundraising activities. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

The wellbeing of our people is important and at Cats Protection we are committed to safeguarding children, adults at risk and all those that we come into contact with as part of our activities.

About the opportunity

We need dedicated volunteers to work at our store on South End Road which is located in the popular shopping area of Hampstead. If you have a passion for fashion (especially second-hand), amazing customer service skills and you are keen to learn new skills, then this opportunity is for you. As a volunteer you will also be involved in receiving, sorting, steaming, and pricing our lovely donations, serving at the till, and using your creativity to create displays around the shop. Training will be provided. As a volunteer, you will be helping to raise money for the Octavia Foundation and support the work we do in the local community.

Chair/Co-Chair - Tamasha Theatre Company Ltd

Tamasha is seeking its next Chair or Co-Chairs. This is a wonderful opportunity to lead the Board of one of the UK’s leading Global Majority (ethnically diverse) theatre companies.

Tamasha is looking for someone who is passionate about arts and creativity and who has lived experience (or a significant understanding) of the challenges and opportunities facing Global Majority artists and communities in the UK today. The Chair will be a change-maker and collaborative leader, able to support the Trustees, Artistic Director and Executive Director.  The Chair will be a strong and visible advocate for Tamasha, able to negotiate and influence across a range of sectors to support its work.
