Job description

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and talking to them on the phone, to join a friendly, sociable team and make a real difference to the lives of local residents needing support to get to vital medical and other appointments. You will be familiar with using a computer but training and ongoing support will be given by our small team of paid staff.

We are looking for a volunteer on Monday mornings to take telephone requests from clients and to enter all the bookings into an online booking system, to liaise with volunteer drivers to allocate the drives effectively and to update the system whenever necessary regarding any changes to client/drivers situations. A basic knowledge and experience of using Outlook and Excel would be helpful and full training will be provided on the booking system (CATTS.) Time commitment is 9:30am – 1pm on Mondays, plus possible other ad hoc cover for holidays and sickness if available.
