Job description

We Need Your Help!

Demand for our support is rising faster than we can keep up, and we are ready to step forward — but we cannot build this movement without a leader who believes in transformation, empowerment, and the potential of every adult we serve.

Become Our Volunteer Head of Programmes & Services and Help Shape a Movement from the Ground Up

Unlock YOUR Potential supports NEET adults (18+) across East London to rebuild confidence, access career coaching, improve wellbeing, and reconnect with their ambitions. We are a start‑up with big plans — and we urgently need someone who can turn our mission into real, life‑changing programmes.

This is not just a volunteer role. This is a chance to design the entire service ecosystem that will support hundreds of adults in the years ahead.

Your Impact

As our Head of Programmes & Services, you will be the architect of everything we deliver. Your leadership will shape how adults experience our support — from their first conversation with us to their first job, qualification, or breakthrough moment.

You will help us:

  • Build a high‑quality programme offer from scratch

  • Develop career coaching pathways that genuinely move people forward

  • Create a corporate mentoring model that connects adults with real opportunities

  • Design wellbeing and personal development workshops that rebuild confidence

  • Establish the frameworks we need to become a registered charity

  • Ensure our services are safe, effective, and rooted in dignity and empowerment

Your work will directly change lives.

What You’ll Lead On

  • Programme Design: Creating structured, impactful programmes across employability, wellbeing, mentoring, and personal development.

  • Service Delivery: Ensuring our support is consistent, high‑quality, and accessible to adults across East London.

  • Coaching & Mentoring: Shaping our coaching model and helping recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors.

  • Partnerships: Working with local organisations, Jobcentres, and employers to expand our reach.

  • Impact & Evaluation: Helping us measure outcomes and build the evidence base needed for charity status and future funding.

  • Safeguarding & Quality: Ensuring our services are safe, ethical, and aligned with best practice.

This is a strategic, hands‑on leadership role for someone who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.

What You Bring

You don’t need to tick every box — what matters most is passion, leadership, and a commitment to social impact.

You may be:

  • Experienced in programme design, coaching, employability, community work, or wellbeing

  • Skilled at turning ideas into structured, deliverable services

  • A confident communicator who can inspire volunteers, partners, and participants

  • Someone who understands the challenges faced by NEET adults — personally or professionally

  • A leader who wants to give back to East London and help build a fairer future

Above all, you bring heart, integrity, and a belief that everyone deserves a second chance.

What You Gain

  • A senior leadership role in a growing social impact start‑up

  • The chance to design an entire programme portfolio from scratch

  • Real influence over how adults in East London access support

  • Experience in strategy, service design, and charity development

  • A meaningful legacy — your work will shape the organisation for years to come

This is an opportunity to build something powerful, purposeful, and deeply needed.

If you’re ready to help us lead change, we’d love to hear from you.

Unlock YOUR Potential: Help us build a future where no one is left behind.
