Volunteer Opportunity: Help Build EchoLab - A Start-Up Youth Empowerment Charity

Role Title: Founding Volunteer Start-Up Team - EchoLab

Location: London (Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Southwark, Hybrid and Remote Options Available)

Time Commitment: Flexible - from 2 hours per week

Start Date: Rolling intake from December 2025

 

About EchoLab:

EchoLab is a new youth-led charity launching in London to empower young people through creativity, tech and mentorship. We're building safe, vibrant spaces where young people can explore coding, music, digital storytelling, and much more. 

Before we launch publicly, we need a founding team of volunteers to help shape the vision, build the infrastructure, and bring EchoLab to life.

Volunteer Roles Available

We're recruiting a diverse passionate team of habds-on volunteers to help EchoLab with:

  • Operations & Admin: Help set up systems, policies and logistics.
  • Fundraising & Grants: Assist with research, applications, and donor outreach.
  • Marketing & Outreach: Shape our voice, design assets, and build our online presence.
  • Youth Engagement: Co-design programmes with young people and help recruit our Youth Advisory Board.
  • Safeguarding & Governance: Support policy development and Trusteeship, Leadership and driving EchoLab forward from set up, launch and beyond.

This is a rare chance to help build a charity from the ground up. We need those with specific experience at this stage as well as energy, empathy, and a belief in youth potential.

Who We're Looking For

  • People who care deeply about youth voice, creativity and inclusion.
