This organisation is scheduling interviews as applications come in. They're ready to hire as soon as they find the right person. Don't miss your opportunity, apply now!
We’re on the lookout for a volunteer who’s keen to make a real difference in our communities — and pick up some new skills along the way!
This is a unique opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while helping residents at Asquith Court and Charlotte Court enjoy regular chair-based exercise sessions. These schemes don’t currently have any sessions, but they’re really keen to get started — ideally once a month to begin with (and maybe more if it’s a hit!).
We’ll support you every step of the way, including covering the cost of your Amac Certificate in Chair-based Exercise Instructing - which you can complete online at your own pace. Once you’re qualified, we’ll work with you to build a schedule that fits around your availability.
Each session will last up to an hour, and we’ll also cover your travel expenses between the two schemes.
Because you’ll be working with potentially vulnerable residents, you’ll need to be 18 or over to take on this role.
If you’re passionate about helping others stay active, feel good, and have fun — we’d love to hear from you!

Looking for a way to give back to your local community without a long-term commitment? Not sure exactly what you’d like to do, but know you want to help?
Sometimes we come across one-off community tasks that just need a few volunteers to give us a good old Yorkshire helping hand. We also know life can get very busy and people don’t always have time to commit to a regular volunteering role.
Being a Community Squad volunteer is a flexible way to get involved. You’ll find out when and where one-off tasks are happening near you, and you can choose to help whenever it suits. There’s no ongoing commitment, you’re in control.
As a Squad volunteer, you’ll regularly receive updates about opportunities across Yorkshire. There’s no obligation to sign up for any of them, but if something catches your eye, just put your name forward. We’ll send you all the details you need, and you simply turn up on the day!
Tasks vary widely, so there’s something for everyone. You might help at a community clean-up, plant spring bulbs, hand out leaflets, put out grit or clear a path when it’s snowed for a neighbour. Or you could be handing out popcorn at a cinema event, making cups of tea at a social club, supporting someone with their digital devices, creating glitter tattoos at a children’s event, or writing letters to customers who are isolated.
There will be lots of varied things to help with!

WANTED: THE REVENUE REBEL
ROLE: FUNDRAISING & PARTNERSHIPS VOLUNTEER
LOCATION: REMOTE / LONDON COFFEE SHOPS / BOARDROOMS
THE MISSION
PROJECT MONO is free for youth, but it isn’t free to run. We need gear, insurance, and the best creative mentors London has to offer. We skip the expensive buildings so every penny goes into the project—now we need someone to find those pennies (and pounds).
We need a Fundraiser who can tell our story in a way that makes people want to open their checkbooks. You’re the bridge between the "corporate world" and the "concrete reality."
THE GIG
-
The Hunt: Identifying and applying for micro-grants, council funds, and "social value" pots.
-
The Pitch: Building relationships with local London brands (clothing, music, tech) for sponsorship or equipment "in-kind."
-
The Strategy: Developing "The Merch Drop" and other creative ways for the project to generate its own income.
-
The Receipts: Helping us track our impact data so we can prove to donors that their money is changing lives.
ABOUT YOU
-
You’re a closer. You know how to ask for money without making it awkward.
-
You can write. You turn boring "funding criteria" into a compelling story about London’s future.
-
You’re persistent. A "No" from a donor is just the start of the conversation for you.
-
You believe that youth work deserves professional-grade funding.
THE COMMITMENT
Flexible and mostly remote. We need roughly 4-5 hours a week. Most of your work will be researching and writing, with occasional "Pitch Meetings" alongside the Project Manager.
THE PERKS
-
The Blueprint: You’ll be a founding member of a lean, scalable non-profit.
-
The Network: Direct access to London’s decision-makers and community leaders.
-
The Win: Nothing beats the feeling of securing the funding that makes a 48-hour "Drop" happen.
HOW TO APPLY
Respond with:
-
The "Pitch": In 3 sentences, tell us why a brand like Nike or a local tech firm should give PROJECT MONO £1,000.
-
Your Record: Briefly mention any experience you have with sales, grants, or convincing people to back an idea.
-
The "Why": Why do you want to fund this project specifically?
PROJECT MONO. FUND THE FUTURE.

WANTED: THE CREW CHIEF
ROLE: VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT, ONBOARDING, EXPERIENCE & COACHING
LOCATION: THE STREETS / REMOTE
MISSION: PROTECT THE TEAM. EMPOWER THE MOVEMENT.
THE VIBE
PROJECT MONO is powered by people. Without our volunteers, we’re just an empty shopfront. We need a Crew Chief who lives to see others succeed. Your job is to find the best talent in London and make sure they have the tools, the confidence, and the "vibe" to change lives.
THE ROLE
You are the bridge between the project and the people.
-
The Hunt: Recruiting local legends—from DJs to youth mentors—and getting them through the MONO gates.
-
The Shield: Handling the "Needs Checks" (DBS, references, safeguarding) to keep the project tight and safe.
-
The Coach: Providing 1-on-1 support and "vibe-checks" for our volunteers to prevent burnout and keep the energy high.
-
The Culture: Onboarding new crew members so they don't just know the rules—they know the soul of the project.
ABOUT YOU
-
A People Person: You can talk to anyone, from a nervous first-timer to a seasoned pro.
-
High Empathy, High Standards: You care deeply about people, but you don't cut corners on safety or quality.
-
Organised: You can manage the "Red Folder" of DBS checks and volunteer files without breaking a sweat.
-
The Mentor: You love coaching others and helping them find their "Power Skill" within the project.
THE COMMITMENT
Flexible and agile. Roughly 5-6 hours a week. You’ll be busy during recruitment "waves" and present at our Signature Events to check in on the team.
THE PERKS
-
The Architect of Culture: You decide how it feels to work for PROJECT MONO.
-
Community Impact: You aren't just helping youth; you’re helping adults find purpose through volunteering.
-
Leadership: You sit at the top table of the MONO leadership team.

WANTED: THE ARCHITECT OF THE CHAOS
ROLE: VOLUNTEER PROJECT MANAGER
LOCATION: VARIOUS LONDON "POP-UP" SITES / REMOTE
THE VIBE
PROJECT MONO is stripping youth work back to the basics. No permanent buildings, no massive overheads—just high-energy, short-term "drops" in the heart of London. We turn empty shops into studios and concrete wasteland into community hubs.
We need a Project Manager to build the scaffolding that lets our creativity fly.
THE ROLE
This isn't a "sit behind a desk" job. You’ll be the engine room of PROJECT MONO.
-
Site Scouting: Finding and securing "meanwhile spaces" across London.
-
Logistics: Making sure the gear, the crew, and the youth all arrive at the same place at the same time.
-
Compliance: Keeping the "Red Folder" tight—safeguarding, risk assessments, and insurance.
-
People Power: Managing our volunteer "Crew" and keeping the energy high.
ABOUT YOU
-
You know London. You know its postcodes, its potential, and its problems.
-
You are organised enough to run a spreadsheet but flexible enough to handle a last-minute venue cancellation.
-
You don't need a high-vis vest to lead, but you know when to be professional.
-
You believe youth provision should be raw, authentic, and free.
THE COMMITMENT
We are volunteer-run and agile. We don't expect 40 hours a week. We need someone who can commit to 5-8 hours a week, with a "boots-on-the-ground" presence during our Signature Events.
WHY JOIN US?
-
Total Autonomy: You help build the blueprint of a movement from the ground up.
-
Network: Connect with London’s top creatives, council leads, and community icons.
-
Impact: See the immediate result of your work in the kids who walk through our doors.
HOW TO APPLY
Forget the 4-page CV. Send us a response with;
-
Your "London Story": Why do you care about this city's youth?
-
Your "Power Skill": What’s the one thing you’re better at than anyone else?
-
Your Availability: When can you start building?

WANTED: THE VOICE OF THE MOVEMENT
ROLE: COMMS & HYPE VOLUNTEER (SOCIALS + OUTREACH)
LOCATION: THE STREETS / DIGITAL
THE MISSION

If you know how to make a grainy B&W video look like a cinematic masterpiece and can write captions that actually speak to a 16-year-old in South London, we want you.
THE GIG
-
The Hype: Building anticipation for our "Signature Events" across IG, TikTok, and Discord.
-
The Look: Guarding the B&W aesthetic. If it’s not high-contrast, it’s not MONO.
-
The Groundwork: Getting out there. Chatting to the youth, the artists, and the community to capture the raw energy of our projects.
-
The Narrative: Telling the story of our impact. Not through boring reports, but through visuals and voices.
ABOUT YOU
-
You speak "London." You’re fluent in the culture, the music, and the visual language of the city.
-
You’re a content machine. You can edit a reel in your sleep and know exactly when to hit "post."
-
You’ve got a "people person" energy. You can walk into a room of strangers and walk out with 10 new followers for the project.
-
You believe youth work should look as good as it feels.
THE COMMITMENT
This is a flexible, volunteer role. We need about 4-6 hours a week—mostly digital—with a requirement to be on-site during our events to capture the "Live Hype."
THE PERKS
-
Creative Freedom: You own the social strategy. Total control over the MONO aesthetic.
-
Access: Front-row seat to all our creative workshops and events.
-
Portfolio: Build a killer brand identity from scratch that you can show to future employers.

A 30-second "Hype Clip": A video (B&W only) that captures the energy of your neighborhood.
-
The "Mono Caption": Write a 2-line caption for our first launch event.
-
Your "Handle": Show us your work or your personal curated feed.

WANTED: THE VISUAL ARCHITECT
ROLE: VOLUNTEER GRAPHIC DESIGNER & BRAND LEAD
LOCATION: REMOTE / THE STREETS
PALETTE: BLACK & WHITE ONLY. NO GREY AREAS.
THE MISSION
PROJECT MONO doesn’t do "corporate." We do high-impact, urban-style youth work that looks as sharp as it feels. We need a designer who can take our "Black & White" ethos and turn it into a brand that stands out on a brick wall, a smartphone screen, and a t-shirt.
You aren't just making a logo; you’re building the visual armor of a movement.
THE GIG
-
The Identity: Finalizing the MONO logo and creating a "Brand Bible" (fonts, textures, grain).
-
The Launch Kit: Designing the first wave of "Signature Event" posters and digital flyers.
-
The Merch: Creating the "B&W" designs for our crew lanyards, t-shirts, and stickers.
-
Social Assets: Building templates for our Comms/Hype Lead to ensure every "Drop" looks consistent.
ABOUT YOU
-
A Minimalist with an Edge: You understand that "Less is More." You love brutalist design, stencil art, and high-contrast photography.
-
Urban Minded: You know what looks good in London. You understand the "Street" aesthetic and how to make it feel premium yet accessible.
-
Tool Kit: You’re a pro with the Adobe Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign) or Canva/Figma, and you know how to export for both print and digital.
-
The Visionary: You don’t just take orders; you bring ideas. You want to create something that people actually want to wear.
THE COMMITMENT
Flexible and task-based. We need a heavy lift during the Launch Phase (to get the brand ready), then a few hours a month to support the "Signature Event" drops.
THE PERKS
-
Portfolio Gold: This is a rare chance to build a brand identity from the ground up for a project that actually matters.
-
Creative Freedom: Within the "Black & White" constraint, the floor is yours.
-
Legacy: Your designs will be the first thing a young person sees when they discover PROJECT MONO.

-
3 B&W Samples: Show us three pieces of work that fit the "Urban/Minimalist" vibe.
-
The "Mono" Concept: In one sentence, tell us how you would make a black-and-white flyer "pop" on a crowded London street.

Trees for Cities
Salary: Voluntary role, reasonable expenses reimbursed
Location: London with flexibility
Closing Date: 11 March 2026
Trees for Cities is an independent national charity that empowers people to plant and care for trees in towns and cities, targeting places where they have the greatest impact for people and nature. Through trees, we connect people to nature, enrich lives and create leafy, liveable places for today and future generations. In a world facing unprecedented threats from climate change, biodiversity loss and disconnection from nature, our work has never been more urgent.
Since 1993, Trees for Cities has engaged 260,000 people to plant and care for almost 2 million trees across 100 urban areas in the UK and overseas. We are proud to operate at the intersection of social and environmental justice, focusing on communities with the least access to green space and the benefits it brings. To deepen this work, we have developed a new five-year strategy (2025–2030) with the goal of creating a Movement for Urban Trees and Tree Equity. As we enter this ambitious new strategic phase, the new Chair will play a leading role in overseeing its successful embedding and impact.
This is a rare opportunity to lead the Board of a dynamic, growing charity at a pivotal moment. Our Trustees are recruited for their diverse skills and perspectives, and we are proud of our strong governance practices and healthy Board culture. Together, we provide constructive challenge and meaningful support to the executive team, guided by the organisational values that sit at the heart of how we work. We are seeking an exceptional individual to become our next Chair, continuing this work, offering strategic leadership and robust governance to ensure Trees for Cities continues to thrive and grow in impact.
You will bring Board-level experience, including as a Chair, Vice Chair and/or Trustee/Non-Executive Director, and a proven ability to chair Board or committee meetings effectively. With strategic vision and the confidence to navigate complexity, you will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, build consensus and manage diverse perspectives. You will bring a supportive and empowering approach, with a coaching style of leadership that empowers and enables others to thrive. Experience in the environmental, sustainability or urban greening sectors is desirable but not essential; what matters most is your ability to lead with integrity, inspire others and drive impact.
We want our Board to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve and particularly welcome applications from individuals from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people, and those with lived experience of environmental or social injustice. If you are motivated to help shape our next chapter and bring the leadership and experience to guide our ambition, we encourage you to apply.

Actively Interviewing
This organisation is scheduling interviews as applications come in. They're ready to hire as soon as they find the right person. Don't miss your opportunity, apply now!
Join us as a Volunteer Yard Assistant at one of our four rescue and rehoming centres where rescued horses begin their journey to a brighter future – receiving the expert, compassionate care they need to heal and thrive.
As a Volunteer Yard Assistant you’ll play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our yards by helping with day to day tasks. Your contribution will allow our expert grooms to focus on rehabilitating horses and preparing them for a loving new home.
This is a physically active role where you’ll get to be part of a friendly and inclusive team, experience the satisfaction of making a real difference, and have opportunities to be involved in other charity activities, such as open days. While horse handling may be limited, the sense of purpose, teamwork, and enjoyment are unlimited!
If you’re reliable, enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you. Our centres are currently looking for volunteers to help on the following days:
- Glenda Spooner Farm in Somerton, Somerset: Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Fridays from 9am to 11am, with the option to stay on until 1pm once established.
- Hall Farm in Snetterton, Norfolk: Any day except Tuesdays.
- Penny Farm in Blackpool, Lancashire: Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 1pm or 2pm to 4.30pm.
World Horse Welfare’s vision is a world where every horse is treated with respect, compassion and understanding.
