Trustee

Wessex Museums Trust is seeking a new independent Trustee to join the Board. This is an opportunity to contribute to the leadership and future direction of the charity.

As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Wessex Museums Trust. The Board of Trustees holds strategic responsibility for governance, ensuring financial stability, and compliance with regulations. Main duties include:

• Ensuring that the organisation pursues its objectives.

• Contributing actively to the Board of Trustees' role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets.

• Ensuring the financial stability of the organisation.

• Protecting and manage the property of the organisation and to ensure the proper investment of the organisation's funds. 

We are also looking for someone who could potentially fulfil the role of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Lead on our Board. The role involves centering EDI in the work of the WMT Board to support us to fulfil the commitments in our EDI framework and action plan.
