About The Role 

As a Community Builder, you will be at the heart of our Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, supporting the charity’s objective to enhance reach with a focus on enabling a positive impact for members of the armed forces community facing challenges. You will do this by creating sustainable, community-led solutions that enhance their well-being. You will identify strengths within local communities, foster meaningful connections, and utilise this to create new networks and drive positive change. 

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about collaboration and community-led change. If you believe in the power of strong, connected communities, this role is for you. 

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, you will create opportunities for members of the Armed Forces community (AFC) and their families to connect with Help for Heroes and their local community. 

About You 

You will have experience of working alongside communities to create the conditions for community-led change, ideally with experience of Asset-Based Community Development. You will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships, and inspire collaboration which will be essential in creating positive, lasting change. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct outreach to celebrate community strengths and foster engagement. 

• Develop and embed an ABCD-informed way of working. 

• Identify ‘Connectors’ across the community and provide opportunities for them to come together regularly to exchange learning and map community assets. Facilitate gatherings that empower community members to share their strengths, co-create initiatives, and foster a sense of belonging and ownership. 

• Encourage and support community-led action in response to local AFC interests / aspirations through peer led/ co – designed initiatives. 

• Increase awareness of challenges faced by military personnel, veterans, and their families. 

We are looking for someone with: 

• A Community Development qualification and/or experience of taking an asset-based approach to community development with transferable skills. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action. 

• A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of the centre of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). There will The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes. 

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.

You will be part of a newly formed Community Development team, dedicated to embedding Asset-Based Community Development. We will amplify the strengths already present in communities, forging lasting partnerships and initiatives that empower the Armed Forces community to thrive. Together the Community Development Managers and the Community Builders will strengthen local communities using resources and networks that are readily available. You will do this to proliferate opportunities for sustainable participation and engagement alongside a multi-disciplinary team in order to support the Armed Forces Community to live well after service.

About the role

You’ll lead an established and growing team responsible for delivering exceptional supporter care, accurate income processing and the high-quality fundraising compliance.  This is a hands-on leadership role where strategic thinking meets operational delivery.  You’ll manage people, processes, platforms and performance.

You’ll have ownership of our supporter care operations, from frontline response-handling to behind-the-scenes processes such as income processing and fundraising team fulfilment. · A strong experience in a customer service leadership role, ideally within a fundraising or supporter care environment

· An excellent knowledge in fundraising compliance and assurance as well as adhering to regulatory compliance for gift          aid and income processing including PCI DISS compliance

· Excellent communication skills, and you’re known for your empathy, ability to stay calm under pressure, and ability to           build strong relationships across teams

· To be a  strategic thinker who can balance operational detail with long-term supporter experience opportunities and              manging risks. You’ll have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement

As an Employment Consultant, you will be assisting veterans across the region back into work. Treasures Foundation provides housing and support for women recovering from addiction, trauma, and involvement with the criminal justice system. We help women rebuild their lives through safe housing, access to essential services, and programmes focused on rehabilitation and long-term recovery. We are now seeking a Full Time and/or Part Time Keyworker to join our expanding Treasures team. 

Key Responsibilities

The Keyworker will report directly to the Specialist Support Manager and will play a critical role in maintaining the effective running of Treasures Foundation’s supported housing. The core responsibilities include:

Beneficiary support

·  Undertaqking key working activities including: referrals, risk assessments, support
planning

The Trusts & Foundations Specialist will play a key role in identifying and securing grants from trusts and foundations. You will lead on researching new opportunities, crafting compelling applications, and stewarding relationships with grantmakers. We’re looking for a diligent and thoughtful writer with a sharp eye for detail and a deep interest in our work, who is also keen to contribute to the wider life of the organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant Prospecting & Pipeline Development

• Research and maintain a pipeline of trusts and foundations aligned with OSH’s mission and growth priorities.

• Work closely with OSH leadership to align fundraising priorities with programme plans and organisational growth.

• Maintain up-to-date records on potential and active funders in OSH’s CRM.
   

Bid Writing & Submission

• Write and submit high-quality, tailored applications that articulate OSH’s impact, values and plans.

• Ensure applications are accurate, persuasive, and meet deadlines and funder requirements.

• Collaborate with the team to gather supporting information, budgets, and case studies.
   

Reporting & Stewardship

• Prepare timely and engaging reports for successful grants, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and strong stewardship.

• Maintain excellent records and monitor deadlines for reporting and renewals.
   

Cross-Organisational Contribution

• Coordinate annual impact reporting, including data analysis, case studies, and visual storytelling.

• Build strong internal relationships and stay connected to OSH’s work by attending occasional programmes, events and residentials.

• Contribute ideas and support the fundraising team’s broader work (e.g. campaigns, supporter communications).

• Engage with programme staff to gather stories and data that demonstrate OSH’s impact.

ABOUT YOU

• Demonstrated experience writing successful funding applications to trusts and foundations.

• Excellent writing and editing skills — clear, concise, persuasive and adaptable to different audiences.

• Highly organised, diligent and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to analyse funder criteria and align proposals strategically.

• Strong team player, willing to engage with programme staff, volunteers and young people to understand and communicate OSH’s work.

• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage funders and supporters with warmth and professionalism.

• Commitment to ethical fundraising practices and compliance with UK fundraising regulations.

• Familiarity with fundraising CRMs, in particular Beacon.

• Experience preparing budgets and financial reports for funders.

• Personal or professional understanding of issues affecting people from refugee backgrounds.

• Passion for OSH’s mission and commitment to centering people with refugee backgrounds.

• Ability to speak in other languages relevant to our community, including Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Tigrinya, Amharic, Oromo, and Spanish.

This role delivers a range of dynamic and engaging financial education programmes to young people, adults, and professionals. As part of our Programmes and Delivery Directorate, our Trainers love working with our participants; they’re the front line of our work, representing Money Ready’s exceptional programme quality in a range of settings.

This role will work with both children and adults across our programme suite and will require significant travel to our delivery locations throughout the area to deliver face-to-face sessions to diverse groups of learners. Occasional virtual sessions will also need to be delivered. 

We are proud of the quality of trainers we hire, and we have a good mix of people, including former primary and secondary teachers and youth workers. You will be joining an excellent team in Wales who know their stuff, so there will be ample opportunity for you to learn and to provide feedback on where our programmes might improve. You do not need to be an existing expert on financial education; we will train you on everything you need to know.

Key responsibilities

Programme Delivery

• Deliver Money Ready’s suite of programmes in a variety of settings to support the delivery of our business plan and the Programme and Delivery Directorate’s Delivery Plan.
• Deliver to the Money Ready education and accreditation framework, ensuring learners have an excellent shot at achieving the programme accreditation.
• Adapting your delivery to meet the needs and learning requirements of diverse participants, often thinking on your feet and adapting to what is happening in the room.
• Completion of all Money Ready processes that surround our delivery work.
• Investing your time in your own development by learning from your colleagues and finessing your delivery craft. This will include participating in our internal training offer.

Programme Development

• Using your insight and experience to help support changes to our current programmes in a structured and thoughtful way, for example, through developing content.
• Support Money Ready in engaging with learners to help develop our programmes as we move the organisation into a co-creation mindset.
• Take ownership of programme adaptation and development, considering the differing needs of delivery across the country and allowing diversity of thought to thrive.
• Support Money Ready in innovating into new programme areas that help deliver our mission.

We are looking to recruit an Employment & Learning Advisor to work effectively as a member of the Centre and the Employment & Learning team to progress a caseload of clients on their journey into meaningful and sustainable employment. You would be responsible for coordinating a range of employment-focused provision through 1:1 interventions, workshops, courses, and supplementary training opportunities to improve clients’ confidence and skills to increase their employability and household income potential. You would also be responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining external relationships and partnerships with relevant organisations, employers, and training providers. In addition to this, you would also work alongside your line manager to deliver a comprehensive learning and employment service, that meets client need and is delivered in line with the organisation’s strategic aims, objectives, and outcomes-based approach. This role is pivotal in order to reach the Centre’s ultimate goal of helping people achieve greater resilience and wellbeing.
