We are looking for an experienced Fundraiser to join our national team who can inspire the diverse communities across the North East of England to unite support for their fire community.

The Role
Building relationships with the fire and rescue services in your area, you’ll become an integral part of the local fire services community. You’ll join a nation-wide team of inspiring and innovative fundraisers, working collaboratively to secure the much-needed income for the Charity.
Helping to coordinate events, support fundraising initiatives and implement new ideas, you’ll support your people, stations, and offices to raise awareness of the Charity and achieve and exceed income targets, as well as working with local businesses and people to maximise our fundraising potential.
By generating the income, we need to realise our ambitions you will help us to be there for even more members of the fire and rescue community.
This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Services Check.
About You
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and innovative fundraiser to join our team, full of ideas and a positive attitude.
You’ll need excellent business and project planning skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and adapt your communication style to your audience.
You’ll be responsible for maximising the potential fundraising income from every initiative you support, so you must be able to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders and build strong networks.
You’ll also be able to support and inspire our volunteers, ensuring that these vital links between our Charity and the fire and rescue services are happy and fulfilled in their roles.
Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, you’ll be an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational skills and a ‘can do’ attitude.

About the role:
The role of Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO) is a fast paced one which requires the post holder to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to victims of crime and those accessing the service in Cumbria.
As a TEIO, you will;
- answer incoming calls, speaking to those affected by crime & manage a caseload
- make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
- work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
- liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
- work with the wider team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime
You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.
You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

About the Role
- Lead the implementation of a celebrity strategy and engagement plan to establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with high profile individuals
- Work with the Brand & Communications and Fundraising teams to proactively identify and grow relationships with talent that broadens our reach as a charity
- Develop creative concepts which can be used to engage celebrities and amplify their involvement across multiple channels and platforms. Draft briefing notes for celebrities, quotes and press releases about their activity.
- Review existing relationships with high profile supporters and assess where there are opportunities to leverage these relationships to help deliver St John strategic messages.
- Develop and participate in a network of counterparts at other charities to maintain a focus on continual improvement and innovation within this field in relation to high profile supporters and upskill St John People to spot opportunities for celebrity engagement.

MYL is recruiting for an Employability Manager to lead our Post 16 programme in Ardwick for young people 16 - 25 with SEND.
