Role: Online Activities Volunteer
Commitment: Currently, sessions are run both during the week (mostly in the afternoon) and at weekends (usually on a Saturday). Activity volunteering is a flexible commitment, and you will be able to sign up for the session you like and when you have time. It really is up to you and your availability.

What will I be doing?
Our amazing Activity Volunteers play a key role in supporting blind children and young people to take part in a variety of activities. These range from sports, creative (singing, performing, art), audiobook club and day trips. Our activities are designed for blind young people to meet new friends, gain confidence, learn new skills/sports, and become more independent. The skills you have developed in your career and personal life will be invaluable to our young people.

Who are you?
We welcome applications from people with a wide range of skills and experiences. You don’t need to have volunteered or worked before as full training will be provided. What’s important to us is that you are a team player, open to learning and willing to follow RSBC’s policies and can be an excellent ambassador for RSBC. We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of sight problems.

As part of your volunteering, you will have access to Sighted Guide training, a training session designed to help you understand the issues and complexities of sight problems and give you the ability to help others navigate the world.

RSBC can also provide references and impact reports from your volunteering if required.
You will be fully supported in your role by our team of expert and compassionate service delivery team.

Safeguarding:
Due to the nature of the role, before you can begin volunteering with RSBC there are some required safeguarding checks which will need to be completed.
All RSBC volunteers undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by RSBC) and must provide two references.
All volunteers will also be booked onto safeguarding training.
RSBC risk assesses all its services and activities.

Rising Capacities for Children Africa(RICCA)
RICCA focuses on enhancing the learning environment for children aged 6-14, by improving school infrastructure and teacher quality through targeted support, providing educational resources, and enhance children's well-being while strengthening community capacity to protect their rights and offering after-school support to children.
Child poverty in rural Kenya, particularly in counties like Kirinyaga, where I’m from, is a significant issue. Children are deprived of essential needs like nutrition, water, education, and healthcare due to limited or no state resources. Many are sent home from school for wearing tattered clothes, and to afford school fees, some work in quarries, construction sites, or on farms. The school environment is often hostile, with overcrowded classrooms, lack of desks and books, and poorly trained teachers. This has led to a high dropout rate, with Kirinyaga topping at 24%. Growing up in similar conditions, I attended the same school my father did and quickly realized that little had changed. Schools remain overcrowded, textbooks are scarce, and students share one teacher per subject across multiple grades. Many children, especially from poor backgrounds, drop out to work I our farms or migrate to cities, where they often end up in slums, turn to crime, or face early marriage, particularly girls. The lack of resources and support continues to perpetuate the cycle of poverty and harship.
RICCA aims to address this problem through various interventions centred around the Ricca Afterschool Center, where children aged 6-17 from surrounding villages in Kirinyaga County are provided with an inclusive, child-friendly, and learner-centered environment that fosters academic success, social development, and engagement. It’s a model to many local schools with limited resources, where our center offers a safe and child friendly space where children feel listened to, supported, and encouraged to enjoy learning.

Role Description RICCA is seeking a skilled web development volunteer to enhance our existing website. Key tasks include: adding child-focused design elements, improving navigation, linking with active social media, fixing the donation button, adding features like newsletter subscriptions, volunteer, donor engagement pages, and safeguarding resource hubs, as well as embedding key policies (privacy, donor privacy, safeguarding, terms of use). Ready to make a difference to a young person's life? Team Up is seeking dynamic volunteer to help transform the lives of disadvantaged pupils by improving their grades and building confidence in their learning.
We are looking for inspirational role models who will tutor Maths or English on one of our 12-week online progarmmes, starting mid-September 2025,
You will be matched with a small number of pupils and provide them with the academic support, encouragement and inspiration they need to get back on track. The pupils on our online programmes have had some disrupted schooling due to personal circumstances and our tuition programmes aim to build not just academic strength, but confidence and positivity towards learning as well.
All our volunteer tutors receive full training, lesson resources and support from a qualified teacher / team manager throughout their placement.
Practical Considerations:
- Tutors can choose between between two online programmes: Tuesday mornings from 11:30am till 12:45pm or Tuesday afternoons from 16:45 till 18:00.
- The start date of both programmes is Tuesday 16th September 2025 and the final sessions are on Tuesday 9th September 2025.
- Sessions are 60 minutes and take place via Teams. Tutors are expected to be online 15 minutes prior to their session. There is a 15-minute debrief with your progarmme manager after each session.
- This role requires you to undergo a free of charge enhanced DBS check, which will be arranged by Team Up.
We are looking for:

As a Grassroots Organiser, you will play a pivotal role in making this vision a reality by organising campaign events and actions in your local area and bringing together a community of like-minded people to advocate for animals.

As a Grassroots Organiser, you will change animal lives by:
- Organising events and actions in your local area
- These will include peaceful protests, public outreach, social meet-ups and leafleting.
- Ideally you will organise 1 event every 1-2 months
- We will provide you with all the support and materials you need, as well as covering relevant expenses
- Growing a community of advocates by promoting your events and encouraging others to join you, bringing people together for the animals to create change
- Joining us at national events organised by staff team
- Taking campaign actions remotely, such as writing emails, letters and social media actions
- And much more!
If you’re excited by the prospect of leading and organising effective actions at a local level, all while making a genuine difference to animals, this is the role for you.
You will be supported directly by THL staff members who will steward you throughout your time with us, including a full onboarding process to get you started. No prior experience is needed and we’ll give you everything you need to build your skills and take action.
There is no set time commitment for this role, all we ask is that you can organise at least 1 event every 1-2 months. On average, it takes around 4-6 hours to deliver an event (including planning and delivery).

The ride will have around 500 participants who will be cycling around the picturesque seaside towns of Havant, Southsea, Fareham and Gosport and can choose either the 32 or 54 miles route.
Together these cyclists will be hoping to raise over £60,000 for the MS Society to help support the MS Community.
Event Date – Saturday 5th July
Event start – 8am Registration / 9am ride starts
Volunteer timings – 7:30 – 17:00 (all day)
– 7:30 – 12:00pm or 12:00pm – 17:00pm (half days)
There are various roles available on the day from making some noise and encouraging our cyclists, to looking after the route and handing out medals at the finish.
Join our team of volunteers and support everyone who is cycling to stop MS.
This role is only required on 5th July 2025 for one day and there are various times throughout the day. Shifts will be from 2-6 hours depending on role and location.
There are no specific skills required just enthusiasm and a can-do attitude.’

S2S Dynamics is looking for an individual to assist with content & social media to help us educate the target audiencec about the e-waste crisis, promote circular economy solutions and amplify our mission across digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to create storytelling that sparks awareness, builds community and supports lead generation efforts.
You’ll work closely with our co-founders and marketing team to execute a strategic LinkedIn-focused content calendar and contribute to newsletters, website updates and campaign content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write and schedule content for LinkedIn posts
- Assist with creating short blog posts, visuals and content snippets
- Help maintain our content calendar and track post performance
- Support development of platform explainer content and educational series
- Repurpose content into shorter formats for use in decks or social campaigns
Ideal Candidate:
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an interest in sustainability or tech

We are looking for someone to support our small Communications & Marketing team with content and communications activity, as well as some marketing initiatives.
Develop and implement effective content and communications to engage and grow Mast Cell Action’s impact across the UK. Main responsibilities include management of website content, design and development of social media content and plans, as well as executing corporate communication strategy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support delivery of our communications strategy, with focus on digital communications, content and community events.
Social media management and planning, including content creation (which must include video and design)
Administer and manage the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content (for all channels and member communications)
Assist in the development and deployment of the communications & marketing strategy
Undertake innovative marketing of events, with a focus on delegates and sponsors/advertisers
Planning, writing and coordinating of corporate communications, including Mast Cell Action's website and e-newsletters
