About the Role:
This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Old Street and in co-location at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
As a Hospital Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic and sexual abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC & local partnership responses to domestic and sexual abuse
- Run group training sessions, sharing your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic and sexual abuse
- a good understanding of domestic & sexual abuse & its impact
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management for victims of domestic & sexual abuse
- understand safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
- experience of service delivery to vulnerable people

About the role:
This role is home and office based, with travel throughout London. As a Male Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will: -
- Ensure that male survivors' safety and housing needs are met, provide specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis.
- Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation, ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children
You will need:
- an understanding of domestic abuse & its impact
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning &risk management
- an understanding of Safeguarding issues &the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
- knowledge of Housing Law, able to provide up to date advice & information to victims
- experience of working with housing agencies or in a housing setting in the context of domestic abuse

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London. As a member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), you will help to deliver and shape Jigsaw4u's vision and strategy. We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term, maternity cover role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Brixton. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

About you

About the Role

Job Purpose
The post holder will work cross-functionally to provide front-line administrative and transactional systems support to the People team and the Finance team. East London Apartments provides 24-hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).
All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK by the start of employment as Look Ahead are not able to offer sponsorship.
What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and external partners, creating a positive atmosphere
Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Key-working the most complex service-users with particular needs aligned with the post holder's specialism - Trauma informed Care
Create support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customer to progress in their recovery
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Provide support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making
Undertake support work in partnership with external stakeholders to compliment their interventions, leading on partnering with specialist stakeholders;
Upskilling staff team in particular area of expertise - Trauma informed Care
Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes

What you'll bring:
Essential:
Up to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant area (e.g. psychology, Health and Social Care, Mental Health) OR experience in the social care/charity sector.
Experience building and develop strong professional partnerships with external providers aligned to their specialism
Desirable:
2-3 years experience providing targeted recovery focused support to individuals with needs around trauma, mental health, substance use and dual diagnosis.
