This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working within the children and families team, you will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children.
This exciting new post will predominantly be working with children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents/carers who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children where appropriate and their families, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
· Enabling the children and their families to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support children, young people and their families.
· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children where appropriate and to their parents on the impact of DA on their children
· Provide specialist support through group work provision specifically the You and Me Mum Course to mothers who are victims of domestic abuse and have children aged between 0-5 years.

· Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.

We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Service Quality Adviser to join our Network Quality & Compliance Team. This role is part of the team that supports Age UK and its network of local and national partners to provide consistent, high-quality services to the public. The team is responsible for ensuring that training and guidance is available on how to run high quality services and supports individual network members with quality challenges and non-compliance.
The provision of Information and Advice (I&A) and our quality standards for these services, are a key element of this role. Wader populations have declined dramatically across the UK in recent decades. The RSPB and its partners are working to try and reverse these declines in Norfolk and Suffolk. Farmers and land managers play a crucial role in creating and improving habitats for iconic species such as Lapwing and Redshank, with the support of experienced advisers. Could this be you? Are you inspired by the challenge of restoring populations of our precious farmland wildlife across two nationally important landscapes? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
The post holder will work closely with our local RSPB team. They will identify opportunities and work with landowners to improve grassland habitats for species such as Lapwing, Redshank, Avocet and Oystercatcher. This will be delivered by carrying out site visits, liaising with the landowner to ensure the needs of and benefits to the farm business are incorporated, suggesting improvements to water level management, developing grazing schemes, and developing funding applications with landowners. The role will also involve liaising with partners including Natural England, Norfolk and Suffolk Wildlife Trusts, National Trust, the Broads Authority and the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.
The Wet Grassland Adviser will play a key role in supporting farmers and land managers to improve wet grassland habitats for nature, including through:
- Building partnerships with and between landowners, NGOs and other stakeholders
- Providing advice to farm businesses with new and existing agri-environment scheme agreements
- Designing habitat enhancement schemes which benefit breeding waders (with support from other staff)
- Managing a team of volunteers carrying out breeding wader surveys
- Developing communications and organising events for land managers to build support and share experience
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

This role is an integral part of the day-to-day delivery of our Advice and Support Service, which has been re-shaped and is due to go live in the summer of 2024. AFK (Action For Kids) is a national charity helping young people with disabilities to develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills and organise work experience placements across North London. At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 26.
Job Purpose
To support young people aged 18+ who have disabilities and/or are neurodiverse to gain employment. The role will be to primarily liaise with businesses and employers to broker new opportunities for supported and unsupported employment. You will also work with a small caseload of young people, assessing their employability skills. You will work closely with the Employment & Skills team to place young people from the Employment Coaches caseloads into employment, as well as locate some voluntary roles and work placements. You will deliver one to one job coaching to enable young people to progress towards their own goals and objectives.
Working Conditions
