Location: Hybrid – RMBF office (Wimbledon), with up to 2 days per week home-based, plus some UK travel

About the RMBF
The Royal Medical Benevolent Fund (RMBF) is the UK’s leading medical charity supporting doctors, medical students and their families through times of crisis. We provide financial assistance and support to those facing hardship due to illness, injury, disability or bereavement.
At the heart of our work is the medical profession itself. Our beneficiaries, donors, volunteers and ambassadors are all part of this community. Strengthening these connections is essential to ensuring that no doctor or medical student faces hardship alone. The volunteer network plays a pivotal role in that.
The charity has 13 staff, all of whom are based in our sole office in Wimbledon. It is a friendly working environment in a converted Victorian house, very close to Wimbledon railway and tube station.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop RMBF’s national volunteer programme, working with a network of doctors and medical students across the UK.
As Volunteer Manager, you will lead and grow our volunteer strategy, strengthening engagement, expanding our reach within the medical community, and empowering volunteers to play a vital role in fundraising, awareness‑raising, and championing our work within their professional networks.
You will shape how volunteering works at RMBF, developing new opportunities, improving the volunteer experience and ensuring our network is equipped to support the charity’s mission and reach more doctors and medical students.
The Role
Doctors and medical students are central to RMBF’s identity and impact, and this role is designed to ensure we build and sustain an engaged, well-supported and effective volunteer network. Its purpose is to expand awareness of RMBF across the medical profession, encourage doctors and students to seek support when they need it, strengthen fundraising efforts, and build lasting relationships within the medical community nationwide.
1. Volunteer Strategy, Development & Growth
- Lead the delivery of RMBF’s volunteer strategy to drive growth, engagement and impact.
- Expand and diversify volunteer involvement across medical schools, Royal Colleges and professional networks.
- Define meaningful volunteer roles and pathways and build strong recruitment pipelines nationwide.
2. Recruitment, Onboarding & Volunteer Experience
- Deliver targeted recruitment campaigns to grow the national volunteer network.
- Manage high‑quality onboarding, including training and induction.
- Maintain strong relationships with volunteers and implement effective communication, recognition and retention initiatives.
3. Programme Delivery, Enablement & Collaboration
- Provide volunteers with the tools, training and resources to represent RMBF confidently.
- Support volunteer-led fundraising, awareness and outreach activity, both digitally and in person.
- Work collaboratively with all parts of the charity, with a focus on Fundraising, Communications and Casework teams.
- Represent RMBF at events and within the medical community.
4. Safeguarding, Compliance & Data Management
- Ensure all volunteer activity adheres to safeguarding, GDPR and confidentiality standards.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records within the CRM.
- Oversee volunteer-related policies, processes and best practice.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Set and monitor KPIs for volunteer engagement and programme impact.
- Gather feedback and drive continuous improvement across the volunteer programme.
- Produce regular reports for the Senior Leadership Team and Board, highlighting growth, engagement, volunteer satisfaction and increased volunteer-led activity.

Person Specification
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience managing or developing a volunteer programme, including recruitment, engagement and retention.
- Strong understanding of volunteer management best practice, including safeguarding and data protection (GDPR).
- Experience using a CRM system to manage relationships and track activity.
- Experience monitoring impact and using data to improve programmes.
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

The role:

You’ll lead our volunteering offer and key people projects—helping our staff and volunteers feel valued, supported and equipped to make a difference for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and for their families.

· Lead and continually improve the end-to-end volunteer journey: recruitment, induction, recognition, retention and engagement.
· Deliver people projects that strengthen culture, wellbeing, inclusion and day-to-day experiences for colleagues and volunteers.

Purpose of role
As the Program Manager, Media and Communications, you will support the Program Director on the design, development and implementation of communication strategies and plans to advance Humane World for Animals UK’s strategic priorities with regard to campaigns, brand-building and fundraising. You will lead on producing and delivering a content strategy for a broad range of channels to increase audience engagement. The position will support campaigns and fundraising stewardship and give strategic advice regarding social media market insights and trends in the UK digital sphere and emerging channels. ROLE OVERVIEW

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning
- Develop and deliver RLSS UK’s first corporate partnerships strategy, setting clear priorities and income targets for year one and beyond.
- Lead the development of a corporate partnerships income stream, building a sustainable portfolio of partnerships and relationships.
- Create the foundations for growth including a case for support, stewardship framework, pitch decks and templates and KPI and reporting tools.
- Establish systems and internal processes required for a corporate fundraising function.
- Use sector insights, benchmarking, and data to inform strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
Partnership Development
- Build and actively manage a new business pipeline from scratch, ensuring consistent prospecting and follow up.
- Conduct in-depth prospect research to identify target companies, align commercial priorities, and map key decision makers.
- Develop compelling, tailored proposals, pitches, and partnership packages that clearly articulate impact and mutual value.

About the Role
We are seeking a charity professional with evaluation and impact experience, and skills to develop Lewisham Local’s business functions such as service delivery impact with a focus on impact measurements of infrastructure work, premises, and admin.
This is a newly built role to support the charity’s new ambitious three-year strategy.
Main Objectives
- Develop and deliver the charity’s Impact and Evaluation framework
- Ensure charity’s CRM Salesforce is used at every level of capturing data

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Impact Measurement
- Working closely with the SMT and project leads to understand the depth of the work carried out by Lewisham Local and develop an impact and evaluation framework to measure the success of our work.
- Train and support colleagues to ensure the framework is embedded into our daily work measuring the change created as a result of the work carried out by Lewisham Local.
- Run a quarterly impact report for SMT and Board
- Introduce data capture protocols and training on using the charity's CRM Salesforce to ensure data is recorded and up to date

Manage Admin function
- Manage the two (job share - 0.8 & 0.2 FTE) Admin officers who support the CEO, Board and take on the general office admin tasks

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity and works with thousands of schools and young people across the UK through its programmes. Job Description
This role reports directly to the Volunteering Programmes Manager.
Programme delivery
● Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes
● Good regular communication and reporting to the Volunteering Programmes Manager
● Manage the administration of our Ambassador and School Talk programmes. Including the recruitment, training, opportunities and engagement of volunteers
● Deliver Ambassador volunteer training on the weekend, in-person at different locations across the UK and online
● Act as a first point of contact for ambassadors on our programmes, answering questions, sharing new resources and encouraging participation. This includes supporting ambassadors with their direct questions, managing the group chats on a daily basis and inboxes

Our Go Anywhere, Do Anything (GADA) project is part of our social inclusion provision at Share. It sees volunteers and students go on regular social outings to do things our students want to do. Our volunteers make this possible, supporting our students to navigate challenges and have fun on the trips. We currently run 36 GADA trips a year but are only scratching the surface of demand. We are looking for someone to support the growth of this project to 65 trips a year.
Main responsibilities
