We are a 24/7 Cornish healthcare charity that provides end of life support for people with terminal illnesses. Our staff and volunteers care for patients and their families, carers and friends at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice in St Austell, St Julia’s Hospice in Hayle, through our Community Services and where appropriate, in people’s own homes and in local care homes. We have 30 retail outlets across the whole of Cornwall and all members of our team play an important role in supporting our services. We provide a supportive working environment by focusing on relationships through careful listening to, understanding, empathising with and supporting our people.

What you’ll do:

We are seeking an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Income Generation team as a Trust and Grants Manager. This is an exciting new role for us and you will be responsible for securing valuable funding from trusts, foundations and grant making bodies to enable us to keep providing our high quality and vital care.

What you do  

Main purpose of post 

This role will lead our individual giving campaigns ensuring key audiences see the impact of the charity and are motivated to donate to support the continuation of our work.  It will build on existing successful campaigns, including our Christmas Star appeal, and create new and engaging additions.  You will ensure the donor journey is sensitive, engaging and straightforward and place a high importance on the ongoing stewardship of donors.

You will report to the Head of Fundraising and work alongside our Fundraising Team to ensure plans align and budget targets are achieved. You will work closely with the Campaign Manager and Data Manager to target individual giving effectively across South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw and North Derbyshire. 

This is the perfect role for anyone who loves to plan and see those plans through to completion, who has excellent customer care skills and who is digitally savvy. You will enjoy working as part of a busy fundraising team and collaborating to achieve collective success.

Key Responsibilities  

· Lead and implement the individual giving donor journey to increase the charity’s individual gifts including regular and pay roll giving.

· Lead the creation of fundraising individual giving campaigns to recruit new donors, retain existing supporters and grow reach, engagement and income.

· Lead the development of new individual giving campaigns, working closely with the Campaign Manager, to deliver direct marketing campaigns across various channels, which enhance current supporters understanding of the difference their donation makes and also encourages new supporters to donate to our cause and projects.

· To create new individual giving income opportunities, including introducing a charity lottery.

· Review and evaluate campaigns against income and impact success factors and implement improvements.

· Maximise all gift aid opportunities within the agreed audiences.

· Be responsible for an income target of a minimum of £300,000 per annum.

· Manage relationships with existing supporters to ensure a high level of donor care is achieved whilst achieving and maximising income opportunities.

· Analyse and segment the charity's supporter base, developing appropriate supporter journeys and propositions, and the effective use of supporter data for campaign purposes.

Utilise digital methods and platforms for new donor acquisition

· To assist in the delivery of a range of donor, supporter and staff engagement events throughout the year in line with our donor recognition & stewardship plan.

· Contribute to development of the fundraising annual plan to drive forward the charity’s ambitious plans for change and growth in line with the 3 year strategy.

· Ensure that all activities and contacts are managed through the charity’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge).

· Ensure all fundraising activity complies with laws and best practice governing charitable activity, most notably General Data Protection Regulations, Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice and charity law.

· Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an active, invested member of our team.

· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the region to attend charity fundraising events.

· Able to work flexibly, including occasionally working in the evenings and at weekends.

Project Manager (Support Worker): 1-1 support for young people at risk – 35 hours/week (full-time)

In this role you will provide 1-1 intensive support to a caseload young people who are identified as being at risk of offending or have already had some contact with the justice system (e.g. the police). You will provide face-to-face support to each young person, in their local community, to help them develop confidence, aspirations, and a pro-social mindset. Key to this will be helping them to recognise their strengths and capabilities, consider positive lifestyle choices, and create an action plan to help them move forward to a brighter future.

Project Manager (Course Tutor): “For My Future” delivery for young people – 14 hours/week (part-time)

“For My Future” is a bespoke 6-week course designed in 2019 specifically for people in the justice system. Focusing on both personal skills and practical ones (CVs, applications, interviews), the course is delivered either in person or online to small, single-sex cohorts over a 6-week period. To succeed in this role, you will have experience of supporting people in group scenarios and be confident presenting both in person and online. Groups will need to be carefully managed to ensure each young person gets the best experience and can benefit from the course.

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. Hearts Together is a Plymouth based charity providing support and accommodation for patients, carers and relatives and also healthcare professionals and trainees working in the local healthcare centres.

The role of Operations Manager sits within the Management Team.

The Role

The role of Operations Manager is critical to the long-term sustainability of the charity and plays a pivotal part in ensuring that we remain both relevant and necessary.

This role involves:

• Oversight and responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of guest services
• Line management and HR responsibility for the operational team
• Oversight and responsibility for health and safety organisation-wide
• Implementation and delivery of new guest services
• Review and development of existing guest services
• IT/technical responsibility – system admin/super-user
• Reporting and responsibility for specific budgets
• Guest/beneficiary satisfaction – ensuring consistently high standard of service and satisfaction is achieved across all areas
• Impact and outcome tracking/reporting
• Training/mentoring/performance management
• Support with grant application preparation and reporting
• Deputising for the CEO in operational matters
• Facilities/estates management
• Stakeholder engagement/relationship management
• Events organisation/support
• Representing Hearts Together externally at networking events, including occasional evening work.
• Travel as required to meet with supporters, beneficiaries and key stakeholders.

Person Specification:

Essential Requirements:

• Strong HR background in terms of leading others and managing HR matters/employee relations
• Demonstrable experience of working to targets and delivering quality outputs collaboratively with others
• Confident and sophisticated communicator
• Strong customer/supporter focus, with excellent interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced customer focused environment
• Financial and business acumen – ability to draft budgets, report on variances and interpret financial data
• Strong report writing skills
• Knowledge and experience of facilities management and health and safety, including food hygiene, risk assessments and policy writing
• Confident and proficient in the use of IT systems as a user admin/super-user level
• Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic
• A team player, happy working within a ‘flat’ hierarchy

Desirable Requirements:

• An undergraduate degree or professional qualification in a relevant field
• Experience within the Charity sector

Do you have significant project management experience? Can you effectively collaborate and engage with a range of stakeholders? We are recruiting TWO Service Improvement and Transformation Project Managers to join the team!

Your role will be pivotal in supporting the development and implementing our Services & Partnerships Improvement and Transformation programmes. Reporting to the Head of Service Improvement and Transformation, you'll be the driving force behind delivering projects on time and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include developing, managing, and delivering detailed project plans, managing resources, and ensuring successful project delivery. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders throughout the Association, leading communication and engagement activities. Plus, you'll foster innovation, proactively developing solutions and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

We believe in partnership and co-production. You'll work alongside Association staff, volunteers, and people living with and affected by MND to co-produce solutions and to ensure engagement and understanding at every step.

As the main point of contact for project progress, you'll oversee reporting, risk management, and budgeting, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish. You'll also manage contracts with third parties, assigning of tasks, co-ordinating timescales and managing deliverables.

What are we looking for?

An experienced Project Manager who can successfully guide projects through their entire lifecycle. You will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Your experience in Quality Improvement methodology will be invaluable as you manage complex issues, adapt to changing priorities and make connections from multiple sources of information.

You'll excel in leveraging data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve performance. You will be familiar with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.

As an excellent communicator, you have the ability to communicate with people at all levels verbally and in writing, using creative visual tools where appropriate to internal and external stakeholders.
