About the role
Working alongside the Head of Communications and Marketing, you'll develop and deliver internal, external and digital marketing strategies that raise our profile across the West Midlands and beyond.

The Role
BASIC is seeking an experienced and strategic Communications Manager to lead and implement effective communication strategies that amplify our mission, enhance our brand identity, and strengthen engagement with key audiences. The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a proactive approach to storytelling, and the ability to collaborate across the organisation to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Communications Manager will play a central role in shaping BASIC’s external presence, working across programmes to craft compelling narratives for social media, the website, and other digital platforms, as well as press contacts.
The Communications Manager will be the point of contact for all communication activity and will be responsible for setting the strategy and communicating this to the team. As an organisation, BASIC is keen to develop brand identity, particularly amongst our programmes and the Communications Manager will be instrumental in developing this work.

About the Role
Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation while leading on key projects during this three month cover period. The primary focus of this role will be to oversee and manage the Overcoming BDD Programme (OBP), ensuring effective delivery, volunteer support and supervision, and a high quality, compassionate experience for all participants.

Job Description
Job purpose: To lead and develop Remember A Charity’s marketing and communications programme, in line with our core mission of making legacy giving a social norm. This core focus of the role is on growing and engaging our audiences across the charity sector (members and non-members) and professional adviser communities (solicitors, Will-writers, wealth advisers).
The Marketing Manager will also contribute to the development of our consumer PR, marketing and digital programmes, led by the Director and Digital Communications Manager respectively.
This role would suit a confident and creative individual who is enthused by the opportunity of helping charities across the UK to grow and develop their long-term income. The successful candidate will work closely with the campaign’s members, professional advisers and, of course, colleagues within Remember A Charity and the wider CIOF.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of marketing activities targeting charity sector and professional adviser audiences, aligned with organisational strategy and KPIs.
- Develop and deliver communications for charity members and Campaign Supporters.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues and external agencies to support the execution of consumer-facing marketing and PR campaigns.
- Create compelling assets and resources to support recruitment, engagement, and retention of members and professional partners.
- Ensure external communications and creative outputs are consistent with the Remember A Charity brand.
- Represent the organisation, exhibiting and/or presenting at relevant events or meetings.

- Manage and grow the Campaign Supporter scheme for solicitors and Will-writers, delivering engaging communications and digital content that keeps charitable giving front of mind.
- Promote the importance of referencing the charitable option during Will-writing to professional advisers through events, direct marketing, social media, and advertising.
- Coordinate the campaign’s Legal Sector Advisory Group, organising quarterly meetings and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to engage wider professional audiences and influential groups within and beyond the legal sector, including but not limited to, wealth managers, Will-writing software providers, local government, regulatory and trade bodies (e.g. CILEX, CLC, NALP).
- Collaborate with CPD content providers to deliver training programmes on charitable Will-writing.
- Coordinate quarterly webinars for professional advisers on relevant Will-writing topics, working with internal and external partners.
- Create materials and promotional assets for professional advisers and campaign partners to equip them to advocate for legacies.

- Contribute to the planning and delivery of consumer marketing and PR activity.
- Support members in making best use of the consumer-facing assets provided for them to use during Remember A Charity Week and beyond.

About You
Experience & Skills
- Experience of planning and delivering successful marketing programmes.

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to own the transition to a new, user-centred Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, Bynder, at a pivotal moment in our modernisation journey.
Working with the Senior Product Manager for Brand Systems, you'll ensure Bynder evolves to meet user and organisational needs, acting as our central hub for visual brand assets. You'll support data migration, contribute to metadata and tagging strategies, and help improve our current processes to strengthen the Brand & Marketing team's vision and responsibilities.
You'll work closely with our communications teams, as well as colleagues across the organisation in frontline science, membership and fundraising roles. You'll also manage and support relationships with creative and strategic partners to make sure our systems deliver imagery that reflects the breadth of our conservation work and the diversity of the communities we represent for nature.
This is a new role with the opportunity to shape how we look after one of our most important resources, our brand visual identity, and to help colleagues across the organisation make the most of it.

We are recruiting three Digital Product Managers, to join our Digital and Service Design Team on a 23 month Fixed Term Contract.
The Fund is embarking on an exciting digital journey over the coming years. This role will put you at the heart of those ambitions. You will take a lead role in helping us to translate these ambitions in to operational reality through improving our current digital service. If you love a challenge, including delivering ambitious outcomes, whilst working collaboratively with a rapidly growing digital team then this role is perfect for you.
The role is crucial in helping us deliver our digital strategy. As a Digital Product Manager you will take ownership of one or more of our critical digital products (and the relevant part of the service journey). That could be further improving an existing digital product like the recently launched website, or designing and developing a new digital product as part of our future digital roadmap.
This is a senior role with real impact, and you will have the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve great results for our colleagues and the wider community.
As part of the Digital and Service Design team, you will:
- Lead on the design, development, and launch of new digital products.
- Set a clear direction for your product(s), whilst maintaining focus on measurable outcomes.
- Take responsibility for overseeing the ongoing product lifecycle of existing digital products including roadmap development activity.
- Lead multi-disciplinary digital product teams, embedding best practice, whilst empowering colleagues to deliver the greatest impact.
You will also:
- Demonstrate strong strategic awareness, including balancing user needs, organisational priorities, and strategic objectives.
- Work with your peers to establish a product management methodology for the Fund, and mentor/coach colleagues to increase capability at the Fund.
- Work with colleagues across our portfolios, data, impact, technology and communications to embed organisational change (including leading business readiness activity).
We are entering an exciting period of change, guided by our Digital Strategy. You will need to be comfortable working in a changing environment, driving new ways of working and helping others adapt. You should be keen to learn and apply digital, agile and user-centred design approaches.

- Deep expertise in digital product management, with a track record of successfully managing products through the various stages of the product lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to set and communicate a compelling product vision, and deliver outcome-driven improvements.
- Communicate and influence with impact, with proven ability to influence at senior leadership level, and the ability to build consensus, navigate challenge, and communicate technical or complex decisions clearly.
- Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on building capabilities, continuous development, and inclusive team culture.
- Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills, using research, data and input from diverse stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions.
- Adept at managing change and adoption, bringing energy, resilience and drive to embed new ways of working with a track record of delivering change in a large complex organisation with multiple stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria:
- Ability to measure and evaluate product success, including defining KPIs, analysing user behaviour and feedback (and iterating to deliver impact).
- Understanding of technology, design, data, and business processes in a complex organisation. Note: one role will be focussed on transforming our data capabilities.
