We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive Extra Care Registered Manager to provide person-centered care and support to our services users within a recently developed, brand new extra care scheme based in Hattersley, Tameside.

In this role, you will oversee the operational management of a 91-apartment service, supported by a Deputy Project Manager and Senior Support Workers, providing the highest standards of care to over-55 year olds in an independent living setting. The apartments comprise of one and two bedrooms, featuring onsite amenities and the service offers 24-hour care that is tailored to individual needs. 

You will register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to become the accountable based lead.

Working in collaboration with the housing provider, stakeholders and local health and social care services, you will ensure that the highest standards of care and support are provided. You will ensure that the service empowers clients and meets their needs and preferences. You will work in conjunction with service users’ families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere within the service. The ability to work in an empathetic and holistic way in order to maintain orientation and independence is essential. You must be flexible, energetic and reliable. You will be responsible for the oversight of all four services.

You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the role including, but not limited to, providing support with dignified personal care and domestic tasks, and supporting individuals to access employment, education, and social opportunities. Background and purpose

We are the only UK-wide charity for everyone affected by a genetic and acquired bleeding disorder. 

At the Haemophilia Society (THS) we want to empower everyone affected by a bleeding disorder to live life to the full, whatever your stage in life.

One in 2,000 men, women and children in the UK have a diagnosed bleeding disorder, which are a group of conditions, including haemophilia and von Willebrand disorder, that result when the blood cannot clot properly. 

As many as a third of bleeding disorder diagnoses have no known family history and can be the result of a random gene mutation. This means a bleeding disorder diagnosis can come completely out of the blue.

THS brings together people with bleeding disorders and their families to share experiences and understand more about how to live well with a bleeding disorder. Together, we can all make a difference.

About the role

We’re incredibly lucky to have a generous and dedicated community who are always looking for new ways to support our work. We are looking for a passionate fundraiser who can take ownership of our community fundraising and empower our members and supporters in their fundraising ventures. You’ll act as the face of THS for people looking to raise money in a variety of wonderful ways – ensuring they have what they need to be as successful as possible. Community Fundraising

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Relationship building and income generation

· Build relationships with a portfolio of current and prospective major donors and charitable trusts, gauging their level of interest in our work, providing them with opportunities to engage with ARUK, and encouraging them to invest in our research.

· Develop an engagement plan for each relationship, taking full ownership and moving each donor / trust forward through qualification, solicitation and stewardship.

About the role

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who has experience in Complex Mental Health and Substance Misuse to join our residential service based in Croydon. We’re looking for a passionate, driven and qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC who has experience working with people that have multiple complex needs. You’ll be confident applying theory to the practical working environment. We use a trauma informed, non judgmental approach, so it’s important that you can work well with others, fit into the team, and build trusting relationships. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment. You will have a background in a similar role, able to provide specialist support to our residents who struggle with their mental health and substance use.
