The Programme Manager role

Due to the continued expansion and sustainability of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth into the 2025-2026 academic year.

You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.

They will lead our therapeutic programmes and staff team to deliver excellent care to residents in residential treatment from substance misuse.

All residents experience additional therapy from our unique Therapeutic Gardens and Workshops which were rated as Outstanding by the CQC. Kenward Trust is constantly evolving and you will play a pivotal role in its place a Kent's leading addiction treatment centre. 

We are looking to recruit an experienced professional who holds a recognised therapeutic qualification to a minimum of Level 4 with membership of a recognised professional body. They will have a minimum of 3 years managerial responsibility of multi-disciplinary working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation or community setting

• To work closely with MHR, HR Team and consultants to ensure that tasks are scheduled and completed to meet project timelines.

• To work alongside the HR Systems and Operation Managers to ensure that the HR and Payroll teams are trained and supported in the effective use of the system as pertains to their roles.
• To be responsible and manage user testing of the new system and any parallel runs as part of the implementation process.
• To act as the Payroll System Administrator for iTrent, taking the lead on technical functionality and expertise and liaising with MHR as required for technical solutions.
• To support the Payroll team with other ad hoc duties, as may be required for running an effective and efficient payroll system.

The Diocese of Rochester is committed to equipping its churches and leaders for growth and transformation. As part of this, we are seeking a Missionally Healthy Places (MHP) Project Manager to join our Programme Team based at the Diocesan Office in Rochester.

The MHP Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of 15 strategically funded parish projects supported by the National Church. Working with the Head of Programmes, Diocesan colleagues, and parish representatives, the Project Manager will oversee planning, budgeting, governance, and reporting processes across the MHP project. This role will be vital in supporting parish leaders and PCCs to lead and deliver their local MHP initiatives effectively.

The successful applicant will be an experienced and highly organised project manager, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. You’ll need to demonstrate the ability to manage risk, track project outcomes, and support change across a variety of contexts. A background in monitoring and evaluation is important, and a desire to serve the mission of the Church will be key to thriving in this role. Experience of working with Church of England structures is desirable but not essential.

Purpose of the job

The Finance and Funding Manager has two key functions; financial management, to ensure all financial operations are conducted in line with NDAS policies, charitable governance, and in accordance with HMRC requirements, and fundraising to ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.

Across both main functions the Finance and Funding Manager will work closely with the CEO and SMT.  Also attending Finance Sub-Group meetings that report into the Board.

Responsibilities:

Finance

· Work with the CEO to produce draft budgets with projected income and expenditure for consideration by the Finance Sub-Group and to be reported to the Board

· Work with the CEO to manage the allocation of costs across the budget and to ensure delivery in line with funding requirements.

· Checking all incoming invoices, preparing payments and process day-to-day financial transactions on Sage 50 Accounts

· Conduct monthly bank reconciliations; investigating and correcting discrepancies and reporting to CEO.

· Maintaining and monitoring investment accounts within the Flagstone account as agreed with the CEO and Finance Group.

· Administer payroll (BrightPay) including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc)

· Administering the workplace pension scheme (auto enrolment) ensuring compliance with pensions legislation

· Assist the organisation’s accountant with the preparation of annual accounts

· Continually reviewing and improving the systems in place.

Finance Group and Board of Trustees

· Produce monthly summary finance report and full management accounts for the Finance Group and the Board.

· Preparation of a bi-monthly finance power point report for the trustees

Fundraising

· Identify new funding streams from Trusts, Statutory agencies and corporates, and submit funding bids.

· With the CEO produce and maintain an Income Generation Plan with a timeline setting deadlines for the submission of funding applications

· Work with the SMT to manage and monitor all outcomes associated with each funding stream

· Produce funding applications with informative narrative content and robust data

• Maintain a monitoring schedule and produce reports in line with funder/stakeholder requirements also with informative narrative content and robust data
• Maintain regular communication with funders and potential funders to build strong working relationships and increase funding opportunities

· Support the CEO in developing strategic and operational plans for the organisation

· Assist the CEO and Trustees in developing the Business Plan and keep it updated.

· Monitor and collate other outcomes and achievements of the organisation.

· Attend the SMT and Team Meetings (as needed).

Are you excited to make a real difference in the local community?  Our role of Foodbank Manager has overall responsibility for the operation of the foodbank, ensuring that we are able to meet the needs of clients facing food poverty crisis.

About Slough Foodbank

Slough Foodbank is a charity whose object is the prevention or relief of poverty in the United Kingdom, mainly in Slough and the surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively by providing emergency food supplies to individuals in need, as motivated by the principles of the Christian Faith.

Slough Foodbank believes that no one in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced, emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. In 2024, we gave out 12,147 food parcels.  Sadly, this is almost double the number in given out in 2020.  In addition to providing food and basic toiletries, we try to understand the situation of the people referred to us so that we can signpost them to other organisations where appropriate, in order to give a helping hand through a crisis.

A Deputy Contract Manager is to support the Cluster Manager who is responsible for the effective management of all contracts within their designated patch, including line managing the relevant frontline staff. About the position

Responsible for the strategic leadership and effective delivery of Humane World UK’s wildlife campaigns, this role is an exciting opportunity to create change at scale. The purpose of the position is to deliver Humane World UK’s wildlife campaigns including, at present, ensuring the successful passage into law of a Bill to ban imports of hunting trophies into the UK. The role will be responsible for identifying opportunities to progress wildlife protection in the UK, including for Humane World's global priority initiatives to promote humane human-wildlife co-existence, and to effectively tackle wildlife trade including for 'exotic' companion animals.

• Commissioning and analysing research to expand and enhance Humane World UK’s understanding of welfare problems for wild animals, in order to develop informed solutions and into advocacy materials
• Work closely with Humane World UK’s public affairs staff to deliver compelling and informed advocacy to UK political stakeholders to secure improved wildlife protection, through both passage and enforcement of UK laws;
• Work in collaboration with Humane World UK’s Communications staff to educate external audiences in wildlife welfare problems, and build strong and focused public support for better treatment and legal protections for wildlife, including through working with media, celebrities and influencers as amplifiers;
• Represent Humane World UK at stakeholder groups relating to wildlife welfare and conservation;
• Ensure that fundraising colleagues are equipped with the necessary information on strategies and impact to make and report against successful funding proposals for Humane World UK’s wildlife campaigns;
• Regular, proactive internal communication and alignment with Humane World’s global goals for wild animals, and reporting on progress towards agreed targets.
