The role is a varied one, focusing on all aspects of welfare and support to our members. 

This home-based role is to support Blesma members in the South West of England by providing a lifeline to members by delivering effective wellbeing support and advice to help reduce the negative impacts of disability and to assist them in leading independent and fulfilling lives. The role also involves representing Blesma and enhancing the charity’s profile within the local community of your area of responsibility. 

The Independence and Wellbeing team works collaboratively across the Association to ensure Blesma’s programmes and services can help our service personnel, veterans and their families.

Blesma is unique as a membership Association as well as a charity. Our members are the heart of all our work – therefore, the impact of Support Officers is clearly visible in the experiences of our inspirational limbless veterans.

The Information Governance team are the champions of Data Protection and Information Governance within Alzheimer's Society. The team’s key objective is to enable all areas to use information appropriately whilst achieving the Society’s overall aim of creating a world without dementia. The Senior Information Governance Officer will support the wider Information Governance team in achieving this objective.  They will be the first point of contact in the Society for data protection, information governance and records management questions, providing advice and guidance as appropriate to ensure the safe and legal processing of information. These queries will be from across the Society and could be in relation to service delivery, fundraising, campaigns, IT, volunteering or employment matters.

- Great knowledge and experience of managing information in line with Data Protection legislation and regulations

What you’ll focus on:

- Information Governance team activities including completing Data Protection Impact Assessments, undertaking supplier Due Diligence, managing rights requests and responding to queries
- Managing incidents, advising on remedial actions, supporting the business to identify root cause, notifying the regulator as required
- Analysing and producing reports on data protection risks, incidents, rights requests for various groups and committees within the Society
- Co-ordinating Society’s Information Asset Register reviews and advising Asset Owners and Managers on their responsibilities
- Advising the Society on records management topics, updating and maintaining retention schedules and records management procedures
- Co-ordinating Society responses to annual NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit, including check and challenge on proposed responses from business areas
- Developing and delivering relevant training and awareness content on various topics

This is a new fundraising opportunity to help provide support for serving personnel, veterans and their families ensuring that no-one battles alone.

Supported by the Statutory Grants Manager, this role is fundamental in developing, advancing and championing both new and existing income from local authorities, health providers, and other local commissioning bodies and grant funders. Main purpose of the role 
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Team, the Insight Fundraising Officer and the Trust and Foundations consultants. The Fundraising Manager will develop existing income streams and strengthen stakeholder and supporter engagement. As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work closely with other global team members to review and implement our fundraising strategy in line with our strategic goals. 

Main Responsibilities: 

1. Play a leading role in the development and delivery of ICC’s fundraising strategy and the success of direct marketing, telemarketing and online campaigns to generate cash, regular giving and Gift Aid. 
2. Plan, research and implement all aspects of direct marketing aimed at acquiring and retaining new and existing supporters. 
3. Establish a robust donor stewardship strategy, building strong relationships with existing  and potential donors and increasing donor retention and engagement 
4. Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with churches. 
5. To manage the direction and relationship with our Trust and Foundation consultants by collaborating in the research, writing and submitting targeted Trust applications and report on grants awarded. 
6. Work with the team to support the legacy giving strategy, to maximise long-term income. 
7. To have oversight of the in-house CRM database (Microsoft D365). Work with the team to develop competency in the effective use of our CRM database as part of our donor stewardship and reporting structure. 
8. To assist and promote ICCs presence at fundraising and other events.
9. Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy and donor care to reduce attrition rates. 
10. Regularly monitor and evaluate direct marketing campaigns, Trust fundraising, recurring giving and legacy fundraising, provide results and feed the learning back into the organisation. 
11. To keep abreast of key issues and best practices within the direct marketing/fundraising sector. 
12. Ensure fundraising practices comply with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Code of Fundraising Practice. 
13. Undertake additional duties as requested. 
14. Line manage the Insight Fundraising Officer and lead our Trusts and Foundations partner.

Fundraising Campaigns and Events 

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage our annual fundraising event. 
2. Support the Executive Director on other events.

• Conducting prospect research (Corporate and Trusts/Grants) creating a pipeline of targeted opportunities, and submitting applications for lower level funding

This is a national role working across our three nations (England, Northern Ireland and Wales). Working in a team of Practice Learning Officers, the Senior Officer will be a trusted expert in learning design and delivery, supporting and coaching Practice Learning Officers across the team to deliver against scheduled learning frameworks.  The Senior Officer will champion versatility in learning, seeking to find varying methods of delivery which support practitioners and managers across our services to deliver the highest quality of care and support to those affected by dementia.

About the role:

This role is based in Pontypool Police Station, Pontypool, it is offered on a hybrid working basis and there is a requirement for travel throughout the area.

As a Victim Services & Engagement Officer you will be:

• Managing a caseload of Victims of Crime with the highest level of need, both directly, through in-depth, 1:1 support, and indirectly, by working other service providers. Undertaking face to face support, case-tracking and management.

Regional Net Zero Carbon Fundraising Officer

Salary £35,000 - £38,000 FTE

35 hours per week

Are you an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of stakeholder engagement and experience of coordinating and developing large-scale funding proposals? Do you have a passion for the environment and reducing carbon emissions? If so, read on.

The Church of England’s Net Zero Carbon (NZC) programme has been established to help the Church deliver its commitment to reaching its NZC goals. It aims to equip, resource and support all parts of the Church to reduce carbon emissions from the energy used in its buildings, schools and through work-related transport.

All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this Net Zero plan. To this end, the Dioceses of Chelmsford, Ely, Norwich, St Albans and St Edmundsbury and Ipswich are collaborating on the shared ambition to achieve NZC across our diocesan estates and are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer to work across the region to identify funding opportunities and secure funding towards delivering net carbon zero projects.

This is a new role and, as such, offers an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to make their mark. You will develop and maintain relationships with a range of potential funders and internal and external stakeholders across the region. You’ll need drive, initiative, resilience and the ability to shape an approach to NZC fundraising across the region. Above all, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator and relationship builder with a proven ability to adapt your approach as appropriate, be this creating links with the national NZC Team, influencing and securing funding from grant-making bodies, or delivering training and advice on securing funding locally. Given the scope and nature of the role you’ll also need to be highly organised, flexible and sympathetic to the ethos of the Church of England.

We recognise that this is a specialised role, and training and support will be available for the post-holder both locally and from the national Church of England NZ Fundraising team.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required. The role will be home-based and can be anywhere within the region, with regular travel across the region required. The role will be employed by the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich so line management meetings will be in Ipswich.
