A critical aspect to this is ensuring all the administration required from point of enquiry through to delivery is carried out accurately whilst meeting key deadlines. 

You will support different aspects of the customer journey and support with relevant processes including distribution of enquiries, keeping our in-house systems updated and supporting with Associate and National Trainer matching, ensuring all administration relating to these processes are completed effectively and within deadlines set.

Mind in Brighton and Hove empowers and supports people who have lived experience of mental health issues in Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex.

We are seeking to recruit additional Employment Advisors to join our well established and supportive team, providing advice and information, skills-based interventions, and employment support to people experiencing mental health issues. As an Employment Advisor your role will involve working alongside people to help them achieve their employment goals whether that is to remain in, return to or find work.

The role is varied and involves managing a busy caseload as well as undertaking liaison work with employers and other external partners, so experience and a commitment to partnership working is required. The service also offers workplace wellbeing and recruitment focused workshops offering a chance for people to meet together creatively and share experiences. The successful candidate will understand mental health, employment issues and the barriers people may face in the workplace. Skills in providing advice and information, being able to problem solve creatively and a track record of successfully engaging and working with people experiencing mental health issues are essential.

The Employment Advice Service provides employment support for people accessing NHS Talking Therapies via the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service. The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service is a primary care mental health service for people of all ages in the city.

About the role

As a Wellbeing Assessor, you will undertake assessments of patients in order to understand their individual needs and identify the most appropriate support for them, working collaboratively with other partners in the Primary Care Mental Health Service and associated organisations.

• Hours: 18.5 hours per week (one day must be a Thursday from 9.00am to 5.00pm)

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.

We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

The role of Helpline Advisor

For several years, Guts UK have provided information, support and guidance to our community over the phone and by email. This year, we’re formalising that service into a professional Helpline and are looking for someone to join our small, talented support team.

During the initial 6-month trial period, the Helpline phone lines will be open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, but this may expand or change later in the year. Queries could be received via phone, email or web-query form.

​As a member of the Helpline team, you will offer on demand information, support, guidance and signposting primarily to enquirers living with, or caring for those with, digestive conditions and symptoms. The support offered will include receiving calls, emails and web form queries from people who are looking for more information about their digestive condition, need to know where they can turn to for support, or are waiting on a diagnosis and need help navigating how to get there. You will provide appropriate information, guidance and signposting to our own information and other external support organisations. As a charity, Guts UK covers all digestive symptoms and conditions, across the whole of the UK, and so no two days will be the same and queries will be diverse and interesting.

The role holder will man the Helpline (alongside others from the team) from 10am to 2pm (with a 30-minute lunch break) and during that time will receive, respond to and appropriately log phone calls, web-queries and emails.

Main Roles

• To provide advice and casework at OISC/ IAA Level 2 on immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• To provide supervision to Immigration Volunteers

Specific Duties

• Manage a complex caseload across the field of immigration, nationality and asylum law.
• Adhere to casework procedures as outlined in LRMN’s policies, the IAA standards and the Advice Quality Standards (AQS).
• Interview and advise clients regarding immigration and asylum law procedure, and practice in a sensitive and professional manner.
• Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with IAA registration or similar professional body, e.g SRA.
• Keep up to date at all times with changes in the law by reading and attending training events relating to asylum and immigration.
• To maintain accurate and detailed case records of clients for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval and statistical monitoring, using Advice Pro as appropriate and as required by management.
• Advocate on behalf of clients by telephone, letter and email with appropriate agencies.
• Produce reports to meet funder’s and LRMN requirements.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager and/or external evaluator in gathering data and information to produce accurate monitoring and evaluation reports.
• To assist the LRMN in liaising with its partners, funders and to provide statistical information and updates as required.
• Work closely with the Immigration Manager in reviewing files and ensure that corrective actions are undertaken.

• Provide regular supervision to Immigration volunteers.
• Allocate immigration tasks appropriate volunteers’ knowledge and skills.
• Keep records of supervision meetings with immigration volunteers.

Other Duties

• To participate in LRMN staff meetings, maintaining a high level of professionalism and contributing skills and knowledge towards best practice for the organisation.
• To develop partnerships and attend external meetings relevant to the work of information and advice in general and immigration in particular.
• To attend supervision and appraisal meetings and other relevant activities.
• To be administratively self-servicing.

About the role:

This role is based between our Northern Hampshire office in Basingstoke and from home on a hybrid basis. You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between either 8am and 4pm, 10am and 6pm or 12pm and 8pm. You will also be required to work a minimum of 1 Saturday per month 8am to 4pm where you will receive a day off in lieu during the week. Shifts are designated on a rota basis which is given in advance.

As a Helpline Advisor / Triage & Early Intervention Officer, you will be:

• You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience.
• Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.
• You will be working within a supportive team that is part of a large independent charity which offers the opportunity to develop skills to enhance your ongoing personal development.

• Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing support, information and referral on to Victim Support services and other agencies
• Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
• Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.

About the role:

This role is based at our National Contact Centre in Cardiff. There will be an initial induction period that will run Monday to Friday 9am-5pm for a 4 week period. After successfully completing your induction, you will move to your fixed rota hours.

As a Helpline Adviser you will:

• Able to respond to victims of and those affected by crime by providing emotional support, information and referrals on to Victim Support services and other agencies
• Providing immediate support, advice and trauma first aid referrals to victims of and those affected by major incidents and terrorism.
• Seamlessly working across multiple services with different processes, procedures and recording mechanisms.
• Managing and responding appropriately to competing priorities, services and needs.
• Responsible for taking disclosures and responding appropriately by either escalating the safeguarding concern to the 'Designated Safeguarding Officer' or to respond immediately to life threatening situations.

You will need:

• Experience of working in challenging and changing environments with the emphasis on excellence in service delivery.
• Experience of organising and prioritising a complex workload.
• The ability to deal sensitively with challenging and emotionally charged situations, demonstrate empathy and control own emotions.
• The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, including telephone skills
• Knowledge and understanding of:
• Relevant agencies and resources
• Importance of confidentiality and safe working practice
• Diversity issues and principles

About the role:

This role is based In Pontypool Police Station however we have currently adopted a hybrid model. As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer you will:

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client's needs is provided.
• Carry a caseload of clients who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally. Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Ensure that support plans are developed with clients where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service.
• Provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Work with the client and other statutory and voluntary agencies to address the identified needs.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that all clients are of aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter.
• To work alongside a team of staff (and volunteers where applicable) to reflect the diverse community and the needs of the victims, including those with particular vulnerabilities, utilising national and local resources to deliver individual, bespoke services with respect, dignity and sensitivity.
• Comply and keep up to date with data protection legislation, confidentiality and organisational policies and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that all outcomes and KPI measures are met relevant to the local contract.

You will need:

• To demonstrate a good understanding and use of the English language both verbally and in writing Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
• Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults.
• The ability to manage a demanding workload and to meet a range of conflicting deadlines.
• The ability to identify, develop and maintain partnerships with all relevant external organisations.

We are looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our team of six Strategic Partnership Advisors across England. In this role, you will support key partners, including Active Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, and leisure providers to become more effective in their role of enabling more disabled people to be active.

You will possess a strong understanding of the sport and activity sector, including its operations, and be able to advocate for improvements that help more disabled people become active. Additionally, you will be aware of the broader systems and barriers that disabled people encounter in sports and activities, as well as organisations such as disabled people’s user-led organisations and various charities, to build relationships and foster effective cross-sector partnerships.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working strategically at a place based and/or locality level within the South West region. Someone who can positively influence local developments, systems and investments to tackle the inequalities disabled people face in sport and activity through inclusive practice.

The successful candidate will work remotely from home and be based in the South West region. This role will involve travel across the region and occasional travel to our Loughborough and Manchester offices.

This role is full-time (36 hours) and permanent.

We offer 26.5 days of annual leave, including birthday leave, plus bank holidays.
