Salary Banding: £28,050.00 per annum with potential to progress through salary band.

Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable young people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to young people in need of support.

Yu will deliver a high-quality housing advice service to all young people, aged 18-24yrs, who require housing advice & confirmation of their realistic housing options working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure the effective engagement of young people who could be in crisis to prevent current or repeat homelessness.

What is the overall purpose of the role?
At Youth Action Alliance, our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present, and promote their ambitions for the future.
We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Support Youth Worker to work across two projects:
Working 50% of your time with Gypsy, Roma and Irish Traveller young people (Travellers project) 11-19 years old, including;
● A weekly girls’ workshop
● Targeted mentoring and support - helping them to stay in education, enrol in college, seek work opportunities, and access additional support services.
● Off-site holiday activities

Working 50% of your time with the Staying Connected project young people, 11-19 years old, including;

Job responsibilities
● Support with the planning and delivery of an innovative, cohesive and progressive programme of delivery for Travellers and Staying Connected (focusing on personal and social development skills), and budgeting to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the programme.
● Recruit, engage and support young people aged to participate in the programmes.
● Building and strengthening partnerships with local organisations, services, and stakeholders (such as schools, youth services, community groups, health providers, or charities)
● Adhere to the programme risk assessments as/when required and carry out regular health and safety checks.
● Develop promotional content and material for the projects and events (e.g. via social media, website, offline marketing etc.).
● Support young people into positive outcomes including Education, Employment and/or Training.
● Deliver one-to-one or group support sessions (via text message, email, telephone, virtually and face-to-face) to provide advice, information, guidance, mentoring and signposting to internal and external services (e.g. mental health and wellbeing services, YAA events).
● Create individual action plans with young people to capture their key aims and objectives at different stages of engagement.

Knowledge and experience
● Certification and professionalism - Youth Work Qualified

About the role
The purpose of the role is to lead the successful delivery of ELBA’s Evolve Project, delivering employer-supported volunteering projects that meet the needs of the communities of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Haringey, and expectations of the corporate partners.
The role requires an ability to build close and collaborative relationships across the community sector, particularly with infrastructure organisations of the three boroughs, likewise the corporate partners. The successful candidate will lead the development and delivery of innovative workshops and long term employee volunteering activities (including ELBA’s flagship coaching programmes) to build resilience in communities. The Project Manager will also lead monthly and quarterly steering group meetings, reporting on impact to the corporate partners.

· Lead day-to-day development, planning and delivery of Evolve workshops and programmes
· Identify and build relationships with a range of community stakeholders, including charities, community groups, Councils, funders, social enterprises and grassroots organisations to understand community needs

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis because of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. We also campaign for a fairer immigration system, involving local people with lived experience in influencing local and national policy and practice.
Our specialist Youth Service provides holistic, one to one casework and a programme of activities and trips. We are looking for a Head of Youth Services (maternity cover), who will work with other team members to support the effectiveness of operational activities, leading the youth services elements within the organisation. WCCM seeks to appoint an experienced, creative, and highly motivated Grant and Major Donor Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising and grant management across a global organisation dedicated to the teaching of Christian Meditation. Working to the Executive Director, you will interact with our decentralised finance, marketing and communications staff and volunteers. Together, you will nurture Major Donor relationships and create and manage appropriate donor stewardship schemes and rationalise our income streams. You’ll ensure grant reporting and management is kept on track whilst developing targeted proposals for new funding from sympathetic donors in the arena of Trusts and foundations. You will work to support both our teaching and resourcing of meditation and the running of our retreat centre in Bonnevaux, near Poitiers in France. An excellent writer with excellent financial and budgeting skills, you will be adept at pulling together relevant, succinct and compelling information for our donor reports and bids. You’ll work with communications staff to develop impactful donor communications which enhance our accountability and inspire renewed major donations. You will have a demonstrable track record in winning grants as well as in the stewardship of major donors. Occasional trips to France. Interest in Christian Meditation/Spirituality an advantage.
The Benefits Service within South East London Mind is a well-established offer of support to clients who need to access welfare benefits they are entitled to receive. The service currently provides casework support for people who need to challenge benefits decisions across the three boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich. There is also a cross-area team of volunteers who assist with form filling and all aspects of the assessment process.
We are looking for a Benefits Service Manager with significant experience of working within welfare benefits. You will have a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health problems and the links with welfare issues. You will take responsibility for the quality of support the team deliver to ensure it is robust and accountable. We hope to be able to extend our offer of support in the future so it will be important you have an interest in developing the service.
Applicants should have previous experience of thinking strategically to develop a service and of managing a team to deliver the support. An ability to work independently but collaboratively, to be proactive and show initiative is essential for this role.

This is a senior leadership role at The Charity, as part of the Extended Leadership Team, and reporting into the Director of People and Culture. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leading People Operations: embedding excellent policies and processes, and advisory support
· Provide leadership of the the day-to-day People and Culture team at the Charity, including direct management of the People and Culture Manager, Volunteer Development Manager, and Learning and Engagement Manager.
· Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engaging Champions Groups e.g. EDI Champions, to make The Charity a great place to work
· Provide senior leadership advisory support to Heads of Teams peers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure we have the right skills and culture to enable our strategic priorities
· Provide advice, guidance and support to leaders and manager on employment law, people policies and practices, and manage complex employee relations matters as required
· Oversee the management of people operations suppliers, including with payroll and pensions, and setting and tracking the People and Culture budget in support of our people priorities
· Work with the People and Culture Manager to develop and deliver innovative recruitment plans that attract talented and diverse candidates, and inclusive selection and onboarding processes
· Work with the support of the People and Culture Manager to collect and report meaningful people data to inform decision-making, supporting retention and engagement.
· Work with the People and Culture Manager to evaluate, develop and manage wellbeing programmes that support the physical, mental, and emotional health of The Charity team
· Work with the Learning and Engagement Manager to develop a career framework that rewards and recognises strong performance and provides meaningful career development opportunities
· Work with the Learning and Engagement Manager to embed a culture of listening at The Charity, where people’s ideas and concerns are sought, listened to, and responded to. This includes overseeing strong internal communication.
Leading and delivering people and culture projects
· Support the Director of People and Culture to lead and deliver projects and initiatives in support of The Charity’s EDI plan, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within The Charity, and working to ensure that our team reflects the diverse communities that we serve.

Advocacy Coordinator

Would you like to use your understanding of politics and political advocacy, and your relationship-building skills, to tackle injustice? Can you bring people together to work for change? We are seeking to recruit an Advocacy Coordinator to develop and coordinate the delivery of influencing strategies around the identified public policy priorities of the Methodist Church and the Joint Public Issues Team. In recent years these have includes issues around poverty, refugees and migration, the environment, the economy, peace and conflict, and politics.
About you
You’ll need to bring experience of coordinating campaigns or political advocacy initiatives and an understanding of different methods of working for policy change. You’ll need a good understanding of UK politics and of the context for public policy development, and to be a great communicator. You should be sympathetic to the mission of the Methodist Church, and share our commitment to seeking justice and to issues of equality, diversity and inclusion.
You would be working as part of the ecumenical Joint Public Issues Team, which brings together the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches, plus associate partners, to work together for peace and justice.
