Renewed Hope is a local charity based in Redhill providing practical solutions and emotional support to the homeless, vulnerable and isolated of East Surrey..

Renewed Hope is currently seeking two experienced support and recovery workers to support our guests. One post is full time (37.5 hours p.w.£27,518 p.a.) and the other part time (19 hrs p.w. - pay pro rata of full time salary)

Renewed Hope offers support to rough sleepers and homeless people in crisis, and housed people suffering the effects of isolation and poverty.

The post holders will be working with guests in both our Drop-in and in our 4 bed supported house (Hope House), but will take a lead responsibility in one or the other of these projects.

Drop in:

• Welcome and assess first time guests, identifying priority needs.
• Signpost and support guests to access key statutory and voluntary services , including housing, benefits, homelessness services etc
• Provide practical support and advice to guests , for example with application forms, bill enquiries, budgeting
• Identify and action any immediate or emerging safeguarding concerns. Maintain and build links with all relevant partner agencies and multi-agency networks (eg Local Authorities, outreach teams, probation teams, Drug and Alcohol recovery, mental health etc

Hope House:

• Assist in the process of vetting the suitability of potential residents and support them with their transition in/out of Hope House
• Ensure tailored support plans (using Homeless Outcomes Star) are in place for each resident
• Support and ensure ongoing adherence to licence agreements and processes- including issuing warnings, behavioural contracts, rent collection notice papers etc
• Oversee the safe and efficient running of Hope House, taking into account any relevant Supported Housing/ HMO specific requirements
• Complete and record regular inspections of individual rooms and shared spaces, ensuring conditions are maintained to expected standards.
• Ensure required health and safety checks are carried out, including alarm testing and gas servicing

Person Specification :

As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.

What you’ll do

• Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.

We are looking to appoint a Support Youth Worker to help develop and deliver an innovative and progressive youth programme for our Girls Project, in a safe industrious and supportive environment working primarily with young girls from diverse communities.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

Job Title: Refuge Worker

We are looking for a Refuge Worker to provide specialist, high-quality support to women and children escaping domestic abuse. Based in Southwark, London, this role involves delivering practical and emotional support to survivors, ensuring their safety, and helping them rebuild their lives. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, you will create a safe and welcoming environment in line with Refuge’s values and commitment to ending violence against women and girls.

As a Refuge Worker, you will support women through crisis, providing keywork sessions, safety planning, and advocacy. You will assist with accessing housing, welfare, legal support, and other essential services while maintaining accurate case records. You will also play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation of the refuge, managing referrals, and working collaboratively with partner agencies. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and resilient individual with strong communication and organisational skills. While experience in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector is beneficial, we also welcome applications from those with transferable skills and a commitment to supporting survivors. Role Purpose

As an Outreach Worker, you will play a vital role in extending the reach of Citizens Advice services to underserved communities. You will work collaboratively with local partners, attend community events, and deliver advice sessions, including applications for disability benefits,  in accessible locations to ensure people receive the support they need.

Key Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Build relationships with local organisations, community groups, and stakeholders to identify outreach opportunities.
• Advice Delivery: Provide high-quality, accurate, and timely advice on issues such as benefits, debt, housing, employment, and immigration.
• Accessibility: Organise and deliver advice sessions in community venues, including libraries, food banks, and health centres.
• Promotion: Raise awareness of Citizens Advice services through leaflets, social media, and community events.
• Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions and contribute to service monitoring and evaluation.
• Safeguarding: Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience in advice work or community outreach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• IT literacy and ability to use case management systems.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing, or debt advice.
• Experience working with marginalised or vulnerable groups.
