About the role

At Sessile Court, we provide supported accommodation for adults with enduring mental health needs. We recognise that, like everyone, our customers’ needs fluctuate and, as such, the support we provide is individually tailored in line with customer needs, preferences and aspirations.

You will be responsible for ensuring that each customer has a personalised package of support in place and that risk assessments reflect a positive approach to risk-taking. You will ensure that customers have choice and control over their support and are empowered to live as independently as possible, with the long-term aim being to gradually reduce support in a safe and planned way.

You will report to the Area Manager and will be part of a wider team of experienced Team Managers, who provide peer support to each other. A typical day will involve working in partnership with a range of stakeholders involved in customers’ support, allocating and matching support workers to customers, mentoring and coaching support workers in carrying out needs assessments and reviews, and writing support plans and risk assessments.

This is a full-time position working 35 hours a week on a 9-5 basis with a requirement to participate in on-call duties approximately once every two months.

• You will have a passion for working closely with individuals experiencing mental ill-health and will have an understanding of the stigmatisation and discrimination often experienced by our customers

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 2 years relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting
• Hold or working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification .

Join our small and friendly team, working remotely, this summer as a chance to experience working in an edtech environment and use your mathematical skills. We are looking to appoint an intern to support our work over the summer period (including September) across a range of organisational functions. 

Summer is an important period for us: teachers and students are on holiday, so it’s a chance to plan and prepare for the year ahead, particularly ahead of our busiest time for subscription and account setup in September. We are therefore looking for an intern to work across three areas:

1. Quality assurance (QA) across our question answering functionality. Our coders have developed thousands of question generators that need to be tested to ensure they work as intended; we also upload real GCSE and A level questions that need to maintain fidelity to the real thing while being translated into an online environment. You’ll be testing these questions, finding ways to break them, working out where equivalents don’t work when they should - or shouldn’t - using your mathematical knowledge in a unique way.

2. Customer support. We receive around a dozen emails to our support inbox each day from teachers and students who need help with account management and users who’ve spotted something that’s broken. We’re seeking someone who can efficiently problem solve account issues and act as a detective: working out how to replicate an issue a user is having, effectively document it, and pass it onto our devs to fix.

3. Social media administration. Jamie might be the face of our social media channels it couldn’t happen without support around the edges. That includes captioning/transcription, adding titles and descriptions, and using our site tooling to link videos to our platform. Some of this is routine, but some requires judgement and social media nous, like deciding on what makes for an effective caption.

Beyond these duties, we intend on making the most of the appointee’s strengths to delve deeper into at least one of these areas with dedicated projects to be presented to the management team. That might be presenting a big-picture vision of how we can increase fidelity to real exam questions in an online environment, or experimenting with AI supportdesk tools to respond to queries, or designing a social media content strategy that aligns with our goals – all areas that aren’t urgent to fix, but have high potential to make a difference. We know we can always learn and improve, and hugely value the insight of fresh pairs of eyes. Our ideal candidate will be keen to get stuck into these challenges and relish the experience to work with a wide range of our team members.

Youth Engagement Officer  

Location: Hybrid. Expected to be in our London office in Victoria at least one day per week. You can be remote every other day or come into the office. Your office days are flexible and can be agreed with your manager, other than for monthly team days where you must be in person. Some nationwide travel expected for Youth Steering Group training days, events and conferences. After passing probation, up to six weeks ‘super remote’ working per year, where you can work anywhere in the world as long as you’re online for four hours of the UK workday.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026 with the possibility to extend. 

Holidays: 38 days per year, including our 3-day winter shut down and eight flexible bank holidays.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full time) Please note as this role works with young people there will be occasions where your working hours will be outside the standard 9-5:30pm. This will typically be a few meetings per month that can last until 7pm and about four weekend days over the year. This is to ensure our activities fit around the young people’s education and work commitments.

This role will play a critical part in the success of taking this work forward. As the Youth Engagement Officer, you will work with our Head of Youth Engagement to ensure our Youth Steering Group can lead their own campaign activities, engage directly with decision makers, and collaborate with other young people to bring about the change they want to see. Our Youth Steering Group is made up of 25 brilliant young people, aged 14-24, who draw on their lived experience of the different barriers to accessing a fair education, to campaign for change. You will also help the group to participate in FEA decision making, support the design and facilitation of their monthly meetings and training days, help them make progress against their personal development plans. This role will include working directly with young people, session planning and facilitation, policy research and managing logistics.

Ensure the Fair Education Youth Summit is a success and remains truly youth-led  

Our Youth Steering Group design and run the annual Fair Education Youth Summit. The event is led by young people for young people and brings together young changemakers from across our membership and the wider education and youth sectors to develop their youth leadership skills, collaborate on campaigns, and engage directly with decision makers. You will support the young people to design sessions, secure speakers, embed past feedback and plan the event structure. You will also support with the event logistics, guestlist management, participant communications and collecting attendee feedback.

Support our members to improve their youth engagement practice  

Our Youth Engagement Working Group supports FEA members and other sector organsiations to increase and improve their own youth engagement practice. You will support the management of logistics, promote the workshops, and communicate with working group members. You will also support the facilitation of the workshops and ensure the attendee data and feedback is correctly logged and actioned. The critical responsibilities of this role are described above. They may be subject to reasonable changes from time to time in line with business need and the decisions of the youth leaders we support.

The new Business Development lead is crucial to the long-term success and impact of Evolve Counselling.

You will be securing new and existing professional mental health counselling contracts with a range of commercial clients, increasing our engagement with private individuals - either referred to us or independently seeking the best counselling, plus sourcing charitable grants and sponsorships to support our ‘low-cost or no-cost’ ambitions, and building voluntary sector partnerships to further our work.

A good background in charitable fundraising and development, or solid commercial new business/sales management experience, is essential.

This is a part-time role, remote working, but with a requirement to be able to attend frequent on-site meetings concentrated upon Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Northamptonshire - as well as across the wider UK.

About Us

The Greater Manchester Women’s Support Alliance (GMWSA) was established in 2016 by seven organisations who provide support services to women across all ten boroughs in Greater Manchester (GM) who may be vulnerable or have unmet support needs.

We came together as the GMWSA in order to ensure that our collective voice is heard by policy makers and commissioners of services. We represent the interests of our beneficiaries and service users, we share good practice and experience and ensure that no service operates in isolation. GMWSA is now formed of nine Member and Associate Member women’s centres having a presence in each of the 10 local authority areas across GM all of whom are collectively funded to deliver support services across GM to women either involved in the Criminal Justice System, or whose vulnerability and marginalisation leaves them at risk of offending, but all also have individual funding streams to ensure their provision reaches every woman in need of support.

Alliance members offer a full range of services to women who need support around issues such as domestic abuse, housing, mental health, substance misuse, education, employment, training, and confidence/self-esteem, all delivered with a trauma responsive approach.

Purpose of the Role 

We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer to join GMWSA to transform the Alliance to meet future challenges around function and funding.

You will shape and implement the strategic direction of the Alliance, ensure the smooth running of the charity, provide leadership to staff, support the Board of Trustees to fulfil its strategic and governance duties and ensure the delivery of grants and contracts.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Chief Impact Officer, within our Impact Team. Responsiblities will include: 

Database Usage and Reporting

• Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.  
• Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Management Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
• Enhance our data analysis and reporting by developing predictive modelling and exploring statistical significance of our findings.
• Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact,
• Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.

Internal and External Evaluations

• Support the Chief Impact Officer in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact.

About the Role

As a Bank Support Worker, you'll work flexibly to provide ad hoc cover in the absence of permanent staff across a range of accommodation services. Role Purpose

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. We have an exciting opportunity to join our ambitious Income Generation Team as our Fundraising Assistant. 

This role plays a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our Fundraising. Our supporters are hugely important to us. You will act as a first port-of-call for all incoming enquiries, knowing when and how to respond or when to escalate. You will be a cornerstone for the whole of our fundraising team providing dedicated support and assistance to the whole team. You will be a talented admin professional with outstanding customer service skills who is passionate about making a real difference.

Main Responsibilities

• To ensure that we provide an excellent supporter experience to all our supporters.
• Ensure that supporters have all the materials that they need to fundraise for us in time for their activity either as identified by you or as requested by colleagues in the fundraising team.
• Chase expected fundraising income where necessary.
• Manage our stock of supporter materials to reorder equipment and resources as needed.
• Act as a ‘front of house’ for our fundraising team, managing all incoming enquiries, knowing when and how to respond or when to escalate.

The Role

As our Gifts in Wills Manager, reporting to the Head of Fundraising and working closely with colleagues from across the charity, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering all aspects of the legacy strategy, including pipeline development, supporter acquisition and stewardship. 

You will develop and use insights to enhance the supporter experience, build relationships with solicitors and Will writing companies to promote the charity’s legacy offer and embed a Gifts in Wills culture across all stakeholders to ensure growth plans within this important income stream are achieved.

Specifically, you will:

Supporter Experience

• Develop and, with the support of colleagues, deliver exceptional customer journeys and on-going stewardship for Gifts in Wills prospects, enquirers and pledgers including written and verbal communications.

Data and Insight

• Ensure relevant details, interactions and preferences for all prospects, enquirers and pledgers are recorded accurately on the charity’s CRM resource.
• Work with colleagues to monitor levels of affinity and engagement amongst prospects, enquirers and pledgers, using insights to improve the Gifts in Wills supporter experience.

Gifts in Wills Proposition

• Work with colleagues in the Marketing Team to develop a Gifts in Wills proposition and marketing plans to acquire new supporters and build the legacy pipeline.

Culture

• Champion Gifts in Wills across the charity, ensuring all colleagues and stakeholders are aware of the importance of legacies and are comfortable communicating with supporters about this way of giving.

Management and Legacy Administration

• Lead the Yorkshire Cancer Research Legacy Steering Group (marketing, administration, and fundraising) to review performance and develop operational plans to deliver the strategy.
• Work with the Legacy Administrator to monitor and progress legacy gift notifications, establishing working relationships with professional executors, next of kin and lay executors as required.
