• Encouraging and supporting those children and families aready part of the church and those loosley connected with it
• Supporting and developing our Messy Church,Toddler Group,Boys Brigade and Junior Church 
• Engaging with parents of younger children locally to serve their needs and introduce them to the church family here.

To achieve this you will support those carers with particular needs , promote social activities for carers and families , use social media to  promote  the profile of those church groups, develop links with local primary schools, and work with other local church colleagues 

We want to hear from you if you are a committed Christian exerienced in working with Children and Families  and with a background in Children,Families, Youth or Community work .

Job Details 

Hours - between 15 to 20 hours per week .( Typically 4 or 5  x 3 hour sessions per week plus 2 Sunday mornings per month  with  up to 6 Saturdays per year . We recognise that our ideal candidate may have  other responsibilities &commitments so   some  flexibility is possible  about  total hours and when they are worked.)

Pay Currently £14.72 per hour ( £11482 - £15310 dependent on hours worked). This will be reviewed each  November as we are committed to raising pay rates in line with increases in the Real Living Wage.

Work Base Penarth Methodist Church,  CF642EX. Some home working allowed.

School Improvement Officer

We wish to appoint two experienced senior leaders to help deliver educational excellence and effectiveness across the 155 Church of England schools and academies in Chichester that belong to the household of faith in the Diocese.

This is hybrid-working role offering flexible working and can be either full or part-time.

• Engage continuously with donors and funders to build strong relationships and seek new and diverse funding and investment partnerships. 

Key experience and attributes you will need to bring:

• Minimum six years’ experience at senior leadership/management level, ideally gained in non-profit organisation or other humanitarian setting.
•  Some prior experience of interacting with a Board of Directors.
• Experience of financial compliance including demonstrable experience of actively setting and managing budgets, preparing cashflow projections and working with financial reports – this experience is likely to have been gained over at least 3 years’ active, first-hand participation.
• Prior experience of working in a growth environment, ideally having gained involvement in income generation/fundraising.
• Experience working with external funders, partners, and collaborators
• Demonstrate clear understanding of Charity Code and governance obligations including Charity Commission requirements and charity law.
• Possess and demonstrate strong leadership experience and ability to lead with a coaching / mentoring/ trauma-informed style in order to maintain organisational culture, valuing the people of the organisation.

As Mass Participation Events Officer (Challenge Events Officer), you will play a key role in engaging supporters to take part in exciting fundraising Challenge Events, from the London Marathon to cycle events and adrenaline fuelled challenges like a sky-dive or abseil, raising vital funds for disabled children and young people. You will be responsible for recruiting participants, providing excellent supporter care throughout their fundraising journey, and ensuring long-term engagement with Challengers, while managing multiple projects to create a smooth, rewarding experience for all. Alongside supporting third-party events, you will leverage your skills in marketing, social media, and event planning to maximise participation and meet ambitious fundraising targets.

Please note: this role is managing and supporting our Challenge Events program (an industry standard term for all walking/running/cycling/adrenaline challenges) and supporting individual supporters who would like to take part in these events. There will be some opportunity to organise our own Challenge Events however, the management of Challengers flagship fundraising events sits within a different role.
