About the role
This tole is based in Cumbria. Turning the Spotlight is a busy service supporting families experiencing domestic abuse including perpetrators. You will manage case workers and facilitators in our dedicated healthy relationships programme.
As a Team Leader you will:
- provide leadership, advice and guidance to your team
- monitor the progress & quality of support delivered to service users
- develop your team, addressing any individual development/performance needs, setting both individual & team objectives & undertaking annual appraisals
- provide safeguarding advice & guidance as required
- promote effective communication channels including coordinating & facilitating regular team meetings, sharing feedback & highlighting best practice
- manage external project specific work & relationships as required
You will need:
- Experience of managing & supporting a team; including performance management, one to ones and staff development
- Experience of supporting victims and vulnerable people
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements
- To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising effectively to deal with competing demands
- Good communication, negotiation & advisory skills, both written & verbal when interacting with a range of agencies & individuals
- Experience of delivering behaviour change programmes to perpetrators of domestic abuse & those at risk of becoming perpetrators

About the role:
As a Team Leader for the Homicide Team, you will:
- lead a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet service standards & contractual requirements
- enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams)
- support staff to keep them safe within their role, leading on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team
- support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team
- travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online
You will need:

About Circles South West
We are an award winning independent charity providing services that prevent sexual re-offending by people who have sexually harmed, as well as support services for non-offending partners, family and friends impacted. Our core service is Circles of Support and Accountability; a ‘Circle’ is a small group of local volunteers who assist the safe integration of an individual who has sexually harmed, meeting with them over a year or more. The Volunteer Administration Executive will sit within the CoppaFeel! Education Team and will work closely with the Volunteer Community Executive and the Volunteer Community Manager. The One80 team provides early intervention and highly structured treatment for drug and/or alcohol misuse to young people. You will be a big part of a small team where everyone takes a flexible and collaborative approach to work and is committed to improving outcomes for young people up to the age of 21 years, to promote recovery from substance misuse and to secure positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
We are looking for someone who has a relevant professional qualification with a minimum of 1 years’ experience of working with young people with alcohol/drug problems and/or working with young people/children with complex needs. You will be highly organised with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of the team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained, whilst applying your knowledge of the range of drug/alcohol related problems and their impact on young people, their families and the community. You will have experience of and the ability to liaise and build links with professionals from a variety of disciplines as well as knowledge of legislation, guidelines and procedures relating to children and young people.
You will be passionate about changing lives and what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our young people, as situations can sometimes be difficult and challenging so you will need to be non-judgemental, with a sensitive attitude and a good understanding of how to meet complex needs related to substance misuse.
The successful candidate will be able to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 09:30 to 17:30, Tuesdays 09:30 to 19:00 and Thursdays 09:30 to 16:00. There is also an element of flexibility around working hours required. It is essential that you have a driving licence with access to a vehicle to transport young people to appointments. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.
You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.
You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.
