What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

To deliver sessions to children, young people and their families that are diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions.
To support the development and delivery of bespoke programmes of support to children and young people and their families, under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager.
As a practitioner, you will hold a caseload, will work as part of a team, undertaking assessments and delivering a range of evidence-based interventions for those on your caseload focused on neurodevelopmental conditions.
The service is underpinned by principles centred around THRIVE and Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies.
Key responsibilities
· Through a holistic approach, assess the needs and strengths of the referred child or young person and help them and their families identify and implement strategies that will support them, help them identify individual goals (through identification and implementation of strategies) to achieve desired change
· Deliver bespoke programmes of support, to families of children and young people diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or ADHD. This could take the form of time limited 1:1 or group sessions or a blended approach depending on the needs presenting themselves
· Use creative, engaging approaches and own knowledge along with research-based methods and models to meet the emotional wellbeing needs of CYP
· Record and collect data with various tools and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
· To take responsibility for own caseload of children, young people and families some with complex and multiple needs
· To involve children, young people and their parents in the co-production of programmes, activities and services
· To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with children and young people
· To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated
· To provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions
· To take responsibility for the more complex cases/situations presenting within the service
· To assist with the development and progression of the service by adhering to all communication requests and assisting with peer progression development when requested through case supervision

DFN Project SEARCH offer an evidence-based supported internship model which takes place entirely in the workplace. The programmes provide continuous support to young adults with a learning disability, and autistic people who are aged between 16 – 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan, or equivalent, in their final year of education.
You will be required to identify opportunities to develop and grow DFN Project SEARCH programmes across a geographical area with the aim of supporting the organisation to ensure that as many people as need it have access to DFN Project SEARCH programmes.

The Evidence & Evaluation Manager / Senior Economist will work in a dedicated Impact and Evidence directorate.
You will be central to our ambition to create the largest repository of robust evidence and evaluations of what works to support young people into good jobs.
- In the directorate, you will support the Head of Evaluation to ensure all Youth Futures’ investments are designed to provide robust evidence of what works.
- The postholder will design, commission and manage impact evaluations and support impact evaluation methods (through a statistics or economics background) within the team. Working closely with commissioned independent evaluators, programme staff, wider delivery partners and colleagues in our Grants and Investment directorate.
- You will also work with colleagues to develop new programmes, which will improve the evidence base on supporting young people into good jobs by working with partners able to run larger-scale trials.
- You will contribute to the development of our suite of ‘evaluation architecture’, enhancing our data infrastructure and administrative dataset access, as well as methodological guidance and standards.
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 25,000 young people since 2001. The Post
The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. · Collaborate with the Team Leader to manage bookings and allocate places across sessions.

If you are right for this role, you will be a committed, motivated, and outgoing individual who wants to support the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of young people living in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, working in a partnership capacity as part of a holistic health and wellbeing programme. Your role will be multi-faceted, and you will therefore be flexible and able to offer a variety of SRH interventions in a broad range of settings, to a broad range of young people.
First, you will provide brief interventions in sexual health in an outreach capacity at schools, colleges, universities, leisure centres, youth organisations, and other venues. Here, your primary focus will be to provide basic information about SRH to young people, whilst also encouraging them to complete a Chlamydia screen and register to the free condom scheme. You will also promote online testing for those aged over 18, and connect young people with other local sexual health services through referral and signposting.
Second, you will deliver SRH and relationships training to groups of young people and professionals, in smaller workshop settings as well as to larger groups. You will be able to deliver accurate information on a variety of topics that are often sensitive and complex. You will have an existing knowledge base that you will be willing to expand and solidify through a combination of supported training and independent learning.
Third, you will facilitate offsite drop-in sexual health sessions and offer 1:1 sexual health support to young people who attend any of the four Young Greenwich youth groups. You and your team will each be responsible for attending the four Young Greenwich hubs once each week during evening hours, working closely with the youth group leader as well as the young people themselves to establish trusted relationships and an engaging programme of activity. You will be proactive and creative at integrating sexual health to other, ongoing activities, and ensure effective safeguarding.
Additionally, you will work closely with the wider SHO team, including supporting the sexual health phone lines processing screening results, and where necessary, signposting to relevant services. Across all aspects of your role, you promote local sexual health and contraception services to young people and adults alike, referring to in-person or online services as appropriate and handholding as much or as little as needed, particularly to those most vulnerable. You will keep accurate monitoring records for all interactions, referrals, Chlamydia screens, and C Card registrations / distributions. You will also contribute to quarterly service review reports.
This role requires flexibility, working unsociable hours in the evenings, and occasional weekends. Schedules may vary from week to week depending on programme need.

School of Hard Knocks (SOHK) is an education charity that exists to empower and support young people who are living in complex and challenging circumstances. By fostering an environment of genuine acceptance and through the use of physical activity, group sessions and one-to-one support sessions, SOHK enables people to find meaning and purpose to life. All of SOHK's activities are underpinned by an evidence-based sport for development framework called the 5Cs.
Overview
Exclusion from education happens when a child is suspended from school (temporarily or permanently) but it also happens when they are sent out of the class, put into an isolation room, or even wander around corridors doing all they can to avoid going to their lessons! With 32 million ‘learning days’ lost in 22/23 (up from 19 million, pre covid) this is serious societal problem with devastating lifelong consequences for young people – especially those from poorer backgrounds. SOHK is on a mission to help children experiencing exclusion, change their life trajectory.
With teams in England, Scotland and Wales, working with hundreds of ‘at risk’ students, we are looking to appoint a Regional Manager in South East Wales who will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of our programme in Wales. The successful candidate will ensure the alignment of delivery with our organisational goals and standards, line manage and support team members and maintain strong relationships with schools and other stakeholders. They will play a key role in monitoring outcomes, reporting progress, and driving growth to ensure the programme’s success.
A key element of this brand-new role is school retention and sales, ensuring that schools continue to engage with and invest in SOHK programmes. The Regional Manager will also be expected to grow the SOHK network in Wales and attending networking and fundraising functions as required. SOHK has ambitious plans to grow in Wales over the next 5 years with the Regional Manager playing a vital part in delivering this vision.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and manage the Schools Facilitator, Rugby Coach, and SEL Lead to ensure effective programme delivery.
- Hold regular team meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and drive improvements.
Programme Delivery Oversight
- Serve as the main contact for partner schools, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee team performance and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all programme elements
- Align delivery with school and student needs.
Schools Retention & Sales
- Maintain strong school relationships to support satisfaction and long-term engagement.
- Address school concerns proactively to improve retention.
- Assist in attracting new schools by promoting the programme’s impact.
- Support proposal development and agreement finalisation with potential partners.
- Track retention and sales to contribute to regional growth.
Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)

Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Programmes on delivery, relationships, and impact.
- Participate in internal and external meetings.
- Submit termly reports on schedule.
Team Development
- Coach and support team members through regular 1:1s and check-ins.
- Lead onboarding and training for new staff.
- Conduct performance reviews in line with PDR processes.
- Promote a collaborative, supportive team culture.
Delivery
- Deliver programme sessions two days per week alongside the delivery team.
Growing SOHK Wales
- Play a key role in strengthening and expanding the SOHK programme across Wales.
- Support the Director of Programmes in developing strategic partnerships with Welsh schools and local authorities.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising Team to identify funding opportunities thar align with Welsh education priorities.
- Represent SOHK at events and networking opportunities across Wales to raise the charity’s profile.
- Provide insight into regional needs and ensure that the programme offering is tailored to the Welsh education landscape.
- Actively contribute to planning and executing expansion strategies to increase reach and impact across the country.

Terms of Appointment

Camberwell or Holloway Rd with travel across London

The role will require a minimum of 3 days a week situated between Camberwell and Holloway Road. The role will require for one weekend a month Rescue Coordinator duty. This will require being on call between the hours of 2pm-10pm to coordinate rescues across the country. Any time accrued during the weekend will be taken back as toil.

About this key role
As our Alliance Caseworker, you will provide young person-centred holistic support in line with St Giles’ service delivery model, which will also include conducting robust risk and strengths-based needs assessments, with safeguarding as the priority, ensuring that the most appropriate intervention is offered and risks are managed and escalated appropriately.
We will also rely on you to develop and maintain relationships with other stakeholders, such as police, YOT, Probation, children's services and local authorities, plus make appropriate onward referrals and signpost young people to other support services and positive activities. Accurately recording all aspects of the work, including action plans, outcomes and session data on a day-to-day basis activity is a key aspect of this role, as is efficiently closing cases and identifying appropriate referral routes for ongoing support and crisis management.

• Experience of conducting risk assessments and identifying the needs of children and young people who are at risk of significant harm
• Experience in working as part of a multiagency team, working together to achieve positive outcomes for young people and their parents/carers

Barnardo's Swansea Bloom Service works directly with care experienced young people to help improve their emotional wellbeing, resilience and self confidence. Our aim is to create a positive space for them to explore their identity, passions, and potential. The support on offer includes the opportunity to take part in amazing activities, life coaching, befriending and peer mentoring.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join Barnardo's as a Volunteer, Befriending and Peer Mentoring Co-ordinator (Project Worker 2).
The contract is for 25 hours a week to cover the maternity leave of the substantive post holder until 31st March 2025.
Bloom is a growing service offering a unique opportunity for the right person to develop, co-ordinate and deliver our Volunteer, Befriending and Peer Mentoring work using established and innovative approaches. The Co-ordinator will be responsible for recruiting and managing a team of volunteers, befrienders and peer mentors who will help young people to improve their physical and mental well-being by supporting them to access a range of exciting activities, helping them to find new interests and hobbies and engage in healthy activities in the community
You will undertake the role of Volunteer, Befriending and Peer Mentoring Co-ordinator reporting to the Children's Service Manager and acting as line manager to the service's volunteers.
The successful candidate will be required to carry out the following duties (in addition to those on the generic job description):-
- Continued development and delivery of the Volunteer, Befriending and Peer Mentoring element of the Bloom service.
- Recruit and train volunteers, befrienders and peer mentors

Life Coaching - there is a dedicated life coach
Giving young people the power to unlock their own potential for positive change, by providing them with the tools to build resilience, improve wellbeing and understand themselves better. Coaching empowers young people to think about and move forward positively in their lives, by creating and working towards specific goals through 1:1 sessions with our life coach.
Volunteer, befriending and peer mentoring - there is a dedicated volunteer coordinator
- Volunteers – to help with activities
- Befriending - members of the local community befriend and provide ongoing assistance to service users are moving to independence
- Peer mentors – care experienced adults who can offer invaluable guidance to care experienced young people by drawing on their own experiences
Activities there are 2 engagement workers
Giving young people regular opportunities to get together to experience activities not easily accessed by care experienced young people. Led by the expressed wishes of young people they could be experiences such as sports, adventuring, outdoor events, gardening clubs, cooking clubs.

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, flexible individual, who is passionate about working with young people around their sexual health. The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the need of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. You will target vulnerable young people, such as Looked after Children (LAC), those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), those who come from areas of high deprivation and high need, and those with other increased risk factors, as well as young people aged 13-15 who are not yet able to access online services.
As part of your frontline work, you will encourage young people to sign up for a C-card, and if aged over 16, register to Get It in order to order condoms and lube from the website. When appropriate, you will refer young people into appropriate local sexual health services for contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment.
Programme
METRO work closely with our partner Spectra to deliver sexual health services in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Richmond, Merton and Kingston. In these Boroughs, METRO deliver the Come Correct free condom scheme (C-card), the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) as well as Get It, an online scheme which offers condoms, lube, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screens.
METRO also delivers training and education, aimed at both young people and professionals working with young people, as well as community outreach and engagement to reach young people directly- particularly those who are most vulnerable to sexual ill health.
