Location: Baca office, Cambridge, England with regular travel to locations where Baca’s services are delivered.

Salary: £29,009 - £31,203 per annum for full time hours. Equivalent to £23,207 to £24,962 per annum for 30 hours. The role also comes with an allowance of £2301 (pro rata) for Cambridge cost of living.

Working hours: 30 hours a week.

About Baca: Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Education Coordinator to join our team and lead the delivery of our education program.

Overall Purpose: As the Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering Baca's education program. Your role will be crucial in enabling the young people we support to achieve a standard of English that allows them to enrol in local college courses and become empowered individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver the education program creatively to meet the diverse needs of young people.
• Support the achievement of outcomes in line with Baca’s Theory of Change, including improved physical and emotional wellbeing, increased engagement with education, employment, and training, social engagement, and personal safety.
• Review and develop the education program to ensure it meets the needs of young people and college course requirements.
• Liaise with colleges and education providers to support student enrolment and ongoing academic success.
• Recruit, train, support, and supervise education volunteers, including developing volunteer resources and training packs.
• Coordinate education support from volunteers, ensuring effective matching with young people and development of appropriate activities.
• Participate in meetings to deliver services effectively.
• Oversee the education volunteering budget and resources.
• Conduct monitoring and evaluation of volunteer activities.
• Maintain accurate records and databases, including monthly and end-of-year reports.

 Purpose of the Role

This senior leadership position is responsible for managing and overseeing OTR’s Wellbeing Services, which include our Engagement Team, Counselling Teams, and Clinical Supervisors.

OTR’s Engagement Team works creatively within the community to reach young people from a wide range of backgrounds, engaging them in OTR’s services through initiatives such as Hospital Youth Work, our soon to open Spaces of Calm and community-based volunteering. Our counselling and listening services are delivered both in community settings throughout BaNES and across schools, college, and the university.

The post holder will oversee and collaborate with our team of clinical supervisors and, alongside the CEO, play a key role in managing OTR’s clinical governance. You will also act as the organisation’s Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), ensuring robust safeguarding practices across all Wellbeing Services.

As Head of Services for Wellbeing, you will inspire, support, and manage the leads within your service area. This includes providing strong line management and strategic guidance to staff and volunteers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful services for young people.

Working in partnership with the CEO, you will develop strong relationships with commissioners and funders to ensure the sustainability and growth of our Wellbeing Services. You will also lead on reporting, quality assurance and continuous service improvement, ensuring our offer remains innovative, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving needs of young people.

The post holder will be a key member of OTR’s Senior Management Team (SMT), working collaboratively with their co-Head of Services (Voice), the Head of Resources, and the CEO to help shape and deliver the organisation’s strategy, drive innovation, and support long-term organisational growth.

Inclusion Coordinator will design and deliver creative arts activities for young people, overseeing the programmes for the Sensory Room and Duty Management of the Sunday Beyond Session. As well as this, you will provide line management support, coaching and development for arts sessional workers in their areas. This role requires a minimum of 55% of working hours spent face to face with young people.

In the first 6 months, you will have:

• Supported the Youth Zone to achieve 1000 visits by young people a week, inspired by the continually changing & vibrant offer.
• Collaborated with the delivery team to ensure a vibrant & engaging programme is in place every session, planned 3 months in advance with input & co-creation with young people.
• Grown, recruited, developed & led the sessional inclusion youth work team to provide a supportive, safe, inclusive, and ambitious environment.
• Developed strong local SEN/D partnerships which result in direct benefit to the borough's young people.
• Introduced the OnSide Evaluation Framework alongside young people's feedback to enhance the quality of the support given to help young people's progression.
• Created progression pathways for young people to build on our 'practice, perfect and perform' model.
• Ensured volunteers & young leaders are well managed and supported.
• Helped to deliver an engaging Beyond session with up to 60 young people attending per session; ensuring that our members with additional needs are supported with our "All About Me" forms.

About this exciting opportunity

Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison.  You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.

We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales.  Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties.

What we are looking for

• Experience working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent (desirable)
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
• An ability to work sensitively with clients applying trauma-informed strategies
• Impressive IT, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Embedded in the work of the Programme Department, the Communications and Marketing Manager is responsible for designing and delivering on communications and marketing plans designed to amplify our brand messages, and raise awareness of our mission with partners, and beneficiaries and help us achieve our vision.

You will also work alongside the Mentoring Project Manager to manage several mentoring cohorts, serving as the key point of contact for both schools and partner companies, while upholding our robust safeguarding standards.

This role involves hands-on delivery of careers sessions, directly engaging and inspiring students to explore and pursue their future aspirations

Details

· The role sits within the Secondary Schools team and reports to the Senior Project Manager.

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays

· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 days a week

· Flexibility may be required to cover meetings or deliver events outside of these hours and WFH days

· You will be required to attend career sessions in schools or at partner offices

· Start date early autumn 2025
