The Role

This is a new role which will be focused on a specific project to initially set up and support our member led Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) task group and subgroups. These task groups, with your support, will lead the direction that our EDI membership initiatives take. One of the primary core initiatives will be the delivery of a mentoring scheme for our members with an inclusivity focus.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

• Excellent Project Management skills and experience

• Demonstratable knowledge of the EDI space, leading practises and ideologies

• Previous experience of working with members/volunteers including in an advisory and secretariat capacity.

• An understanding of and preferably experience of managing mentoring schemes.

Experience of working in a membership organisation or knowledge of the engineering profession would be advantageous.

Comms & Marketing

• Work with the Communications Team to plan and deliver communication and participant recruitment campaigns and implement appropriate strategic marketing for each project.
• Arrange photography and video documentation as necessary.

General Administration
• Ensure all day-to-day project administration is carried out efficiently and appropriately.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.

Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.

The exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
• Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
• Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families
• To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
• Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
• Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
• Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
• Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
• Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.
• Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.
• Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of low to medium risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.

We are looking for a capable and creative individual to join the leadership of Resurgo, with oversight of strategy development and implementation, finance and governance. As a strong leader and people manager with experience across strategy and finance, you will have an ability to lead projects with multiple complex priorities through to completion, be a confident decision maker and communicator, and be passionate about social transformation.

The important stuff 

Salary: from £70,000 with significant flexibility

Contract: Interim

Hours: 5 days per week (4 considered), 9.30am – 5.30pm, with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations.

Location: Hammersmith, London – we are an office-based organisation with some work at home possible in agreement with the line manager

Person Specification 

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and our mission to play a meaningful part in the repair of our social fabric
• Strong strategic thinking and business and financial acumen – experience in a management consulting or financial management role is essential
• Self-motivated forward planner with the ability to navigate complex fast-moving environments, adapt to changing circumstances, and exercise initiative, with a track record of driving growth and achieving results
• Financially literate, with experience overseeing strategic financial processes, e.g., budgeting, financial management and resource allocation
• Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. An awareness of charity regulatory and compliance requirements is beneficial
• Strong proven leadership skills and the ability to relate confidently to a range of audiences
• Relational team player with high emotional intelligence, a sense of humour and fun, and the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams

Key Responsibilities
 

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Leading the organisation through the iterative development and implementation of strategic projects to serve the ambition of Resurgo, to “inspire and equip organisations to deliver ambitious and sustainable social change”
• Provide direction and support to Heads of Department, setting them up to succeed in the implementation of ambitious plans
• Line management of the Strategy Managaer, who project manages and drives the delivery of annual departmental targets and strategic projects across the organisation.

Finance

• Line management of Head of Finance, providing strategic leadership in the development of the finance function and oversight of organisational financial management
• Lead the annual planning process, working with the Head of Finance and Director of People, Culture & Operations to shape and deliver annual financial planning

Oversight of Governance, Risk and Opportunity

• Executive Chair of the Strategy, Finance and Risk steering group, owning the most significant risks and opportunities facing Resurgo at an organisational level, ensuring actions are taken to mitigate risks and that we are set up to maximise opportunity
• Responsible for overseeing governance structures and ensuring they are fit for purpose as the organisation develops and grows
• Supporting the Executive Assistant to the CEO in the facilitation of the effective running of the Boards of Resurgo Trust and Resurgo Consulting, including planning and overseeing Board and key Steering Group meetings.

Active Participation in and Support for Resurgo’s team and mission

• Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member, including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission

The motivation behind the LifeSkills programme is to inspire millions of young people and equip them with the key skills to move forward into the 21st century workplace. The programme focuses on teaching skills such as CV writing, interview skills, networking, problem solving, creativity, resilience, communication and managing online reputation. This combined Programme Manager, Facilitator role will be instrumental in raising awareness and developing skills in schools across Wales.

This post requires daily travel within South Wales.

The role will involve:

• A thorough understanding of the ready-made online resources to facilitate LifeSkills workshops, online and in person
• Creation and management of a deployment plan to achieve agreed targets for students and engagement of Barclays staff
• Maintaining systems for timely and accurate monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the effectiveness of the LifeSkills programme in line with contract requirements
• Sharing best practice and collaborating within and across BITC’s programme managers/facilitators in Scotland and Northern Ireland

The successful candidate will be:  

• Managing the delivery of programmes to meet contractual obligations
• Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships
• Delivering highly engaging workshops which respond to learner needs and remain true to workshop objectives

The role requires travel across the region for programme delivery and participant interaction.

Salary:
The salary band for this role reflects the flexibility we offer with the contractual location. Candidates will be based at home and have personal transport to travel to schools across Wales. This role is 28 hours per week until 31 July 2025 with a full-time equivalent salary of £27,945 to £32,000 per annum (this will be prorated for part-time hours).

The role will work collaboratively to explore ideas and launch new initiatives helping Young Bristol achieve our mission, playing an important part in helping us to meet our fundraising targets and increasing participation and community engagement in our events and fundraising activities.

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Osmani Trust, an award-winning youth and community charity, to recruit a Programme Manager.

Osmani Trust provides a range of youth, violence reduction, employment, mentoring, and health and sports services tailored to meet the diverse needs of communities in Tower Hamlets and surrounding Boroughs. Through its provisions, Osmani Trust seeks to address issues impacting the community including substance misuse, racial tensions, criminality and anti-social behaviour, territoriality and gang-related violence, unemployment and overcrowding, lack of training and employment opportunities. The Trust provides a holistic service to help those living in disadvantaged urban communities to re-engage with mainstream society and improve their quality of life.

The Programme Manager will lead the grassroots consortium, Better Bethnal Green (BBG). The post holder will work with partners to support young people facing multiple/complex disadvantages in the borough, transforming the life trajectories of young people who have become marginalised by local poverty, unemployment, and crime, particularly those from BAME communities who are disproportionately affected by these issues.

Key responsibilities

* Programme Development, Delivery and Leadership: Lead and manage the delivery of the BBG programme, collaborating with partners, stakeholders, and the local community to develop and promote effective interventions, engaging key grassroots partners and young people.
* Community Engagement, Partnerships and Networking: Ensure local communities are informed, fostering a sense of ownership and participation. Develop and strengthen relationships with diverse stakeholders, including local authorities, statutory bodies, and educational institutions to support the programme.
* Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee data collection, monitoring, and evaluation activities to track programme impact and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with grant requirements.
* Financial Management and Fundraising: Manage programme budgets, prepare financial reports, and identify opportunities for additional funding to support sustainability.

The Programme Manager will have experience managing multiple projects with a proven track record. The successful candidate will have experience of developing and monitoring programmes against targets and outcomes and managing project budgets. You will understand London's voluntary sector, local community needs and its challenges, particularly related to the youth sector, youth violence and community safety in diverse communities and delivered and evaluated the impact of these initiatives related to the work of Osmani Trust. You will be results-driven and motivated with excellent communication skills and able to adapt and respond to changing requirements positively.
