AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London. At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.
Job Purpose
To support young people with disabilities aged 18 to 25 to progress towards and into employment.
The role will involve liaising with education professionals and employers and brokering new opportunities for supported employment, volunteering, and work placements. You will work with young people to provide specialist one to one coaching, assess, and develop their employability skills and support them towards their own goals and objectives.
Working Conditions
This post is 35 hours per week. The post holder will occasionally be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

Principle Responsibilities
· Work with a caseload of individual young people to identify and support their aspirations for future employment and formulate plans to enable them to achieve their goals.
· Contribute to progress reports, reviews, open evenings and other events with education professionals, families, and young people
· Provide intensive 1:1 support in all aspects of employment support.
· Inform and work closely with the Employment Broker on the type of jobs that trainees want sourced, or job carved so that placements can be sought.
· Refer people for specialist advice and support
· Secure voluntary work, work tasters and work experience placements for individuals to support their journey towards employment.
· Work with our experienced Service Delivery Team to deliver or co-ordinate coaching, and training as required.
· Support people in the workplace as required.
· Develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market and opportunities relating to employment, work experience and volunteering.
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local employer groups, statutory, voluntary, and private organizations to support the development of suitable opportunities.
· Engage with businesses that can create employment, volunteering, and work placements, including providing training / advice to employers as required.
· Identify any financial implications for individuals related to part time employment and disability benefits.
· Monitor the progress of individuals and keep appropriate records.
· Undertake necessary administrative duties relating to the role.
· Undertake learning and development as identified through regular appraisals and reviews.

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Key Support Worker to be part of Hummingbird Homes—a unique new model helping young people transition from care to independent living.
Background:
At Handcrafted, we work with a range of vulnerable people, including care leavers. Their stories and experiences have helped us to recognise that there is a gap in provision from 16+, where transitioning into independent living is either an overly support-intensive time or very isolating. We have created a new model of support for those transitioning from care to independent living, bridging a critical gap in services.
Our New Approach:
To set up the Hummingbird Community, we have purchased five houses that are all near each other. Four of these will be used as supported housing for children 16+ transitioning out of the care system, and one of them will serve as a dedicated "Support House".
This house will have a central community space for the young people, and it's a home where you can stay nearby whilst working, on-call, or between shifts, for as long as you are employed by Handcrafted.
The communal area downstairs will be the base for spending time together and providing life skills training alongside the wider team.
You would have your own private space upstairs for when you stay at the Support House.

This is no ordinary Development role
The Godolphin and Latymer School seeks an exceptional Director of Development to lead our philanthropic strategy in collaboration with the Head. Our bursary programme currently supports 80 students; but with the right person in post, we aim to significantly increase this number, diversifying our school community and changing more young lives.
The Director of Development will work closely with the Head to develop and implement a sustainable development strategy, focussing on major gifts. The ideal candidate will elevate the School's engagement strategy through innovative events, strategic communications, and meaningful relationship-building with the school’s community ensuring high standards across all engagement and fundraising activities.
The Director of Development will manage the Development Office, currently a team of three, with responsibility for developing both potential within the team and fundraising programmes and process.
Collaboration, communication and positive professional relationships are key to this role. The most successful school development programmes are built, not on transactions, but on relationships - with donors, with colleagues, with school leadership, and with the broader School community. The ideal candidate will understand that relationships drive results. Right now, one of our partners, Aquarius Action Projects, is looking for a Practitioner to join their Family Support service in Derby. Living with someone who has a drug or alcohol problem can be worrying and stressful and the service runs a young person’s programme called Choices for young people aged 5-18 years who are affected by a family members alcohol or drug use. The service provides young people with a safe place for them to talk about their concerns and help them to develop coping strategies to manage difficult situations.
The Role
As a Practitioner, you will deliver 1:1 and group interventions to young people in both community and school settings around a variety of topics. These will include confidence and self-esteem, hobbies, school (attending and enjoying), age appropriate drug & alcohol knowledge, how parental substance misuse can make young people feel, planning for their futures and positive peer and adult support.
Skills and Qualifications
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.

Community Project Lead
- Two-year fixed term, full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 21 hours per week considered), £28,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata if part-time)
- Remote or office-based. Occasional visits to IPSEA’s office in Takeley or a London venue required. This role will also include frequent travel to meet with community partners.

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of SEND law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Project Lead to join our team and lead the development of our advice services for under-served communities. This two-year, fixed-term role is a key part of our strategy to reach groups who may not traditionally engage with IPSEA’s support - including children and families with English as an additional language, cared-for children (children in care), migrant children, detained children, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.
The project builds on a detailed scoping exercise we’ve recently completed, which involved working closely with a wide range of charities and organisations that support these communities. The resulting report outlines the barriers they face, and will form the foundation for this project and directly inform the work you will lead.
What you’ll do

Design and develop pilot advice services that are tailored to the needs of under-served communities, using findings from IPSEA’s research

Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, charities and service providers to co-produce accessible services

Collaborate with IPSEA’s advice, legal and policy teams to address the barriers these communities face in accessing SEND legal advice

Contribute to and share outreach materials, training resources and toolkits to support families of under-served communities and empower local advocates

Plan and lead workshops, focus groups and community events to raise awareness, gather feedback and enhance service delivery

Monitor and report on project outcomes and impact, providing regular updates to IPSEA staff and stakeholders

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join NGAGE, our early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10–18 in Northamptonshire. Delivered by Aquarius, a charity helping individuals and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs, and gambling, NGAGE provides early support, education, and tailored interventions.
As Team Leader, you’ll play a central role in service delivery and operational management. Your leadership will ensure clinical quality, service compliance, and a strong team culture, all while maintaining person-centred care and safeguarding best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and supporting staff, including induction, coaching, and development reviews
- Ensuring services meet all quality, policy and statutory standards
- Managing performance and supporting the recruitment of staff and volunteers
- Liaising with commissioners and external partners
- Overseeing data reporting and budget monitoring
- Championing Aquarius’ values and mission
You’ll bring strong leadership skills and significant experience supporting individuals in addictions, mental health, or social care settings – particularly with young people.
You’ll also need:
- A professional qualification in health, social care, youth work or similar (e.g. NVQ Level 4+, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies)
- Proven experience in the substance misuse field, with up-to-date knowledge of drugs, alcohol and associated health issues
- Familiarity with effective behaviour change interventions, such as motivational interviewing or psychoeducation
- Staff supervision or management experience, plus strong partnership working skills across statutory and voluntary services
- A solid understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice
- Strong IT and case management skills, and a flexible, strengths-based approach
