Quality and Compliance Manager - known internally as "Senior Skills Quality and Compliance Manager"

Full-Time, Permanent post

Location - flexible / can be based at any Centrepoint site (home and remote working currently)

Centrepoint is a national charity established in 1969 that supports homeless young people to get their lives back on track.  Our services for young people include housing, health, personal and social development and employability, with the overall aim of enabling them to secure a home, a skill and a sustainable future. The charity operates across eight regions and is honoured to have Prince William, HRH The Duke of Cambridge as its patron.  As part of its strategy to support every young person with a home and a job Centrepoint has grown its Skills and Employability offer to support our aim of diversifying our income.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a a Senior Skills Quality and Compliance Manager to join our Quality and Compliance team.

What you’ll be doing…

  • To write, lead and deliver Centrepoint’s skills quality strategy.
  • To take lead responsibility for implementing quality systems across Centrepoint’s skills provision, working with operational teams to develop a consistent approach to delivery, monitoring and reporting that meets with contractual compliance requirements.
  • To have an oversight of all skills compliance across the organisation including leading on learning policies and procedures.
  • To manage and support the skills compliance team and a team of internal quality assurers ensuring they have all the necessary resources and knowledge to provide a high quality provision to the organisation.
  • To be the lead contact for all statutory and regulatory skills provision audits and to undertake the role of Nominated Person for all skills related external inspections including Ofsted and Matrix ensuring SET, Managers and staff are fully conversant with inspection requirements, outcomes and recommendations. 
  • To be responsible for the relationship with external bodies including awarding organisations and funders, and being accountable for external quality assurance visits.
