About the role
Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This is aligned with recommendations set out in the Kinship Care Practice Guide published by Foundations (2024) and builds on evidence from the Kinship Navigator intervention of support for kinship carers in the USA.
This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving:
- An active funding partner
- An independent evaluation team
- 5 participating local authorities (to be confirmed)
- Internal delivery teams and cross organisational services
- Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts
This role leads and supports the staff team delivering one-to-one navigator-style support to kinship carers as part of the Kinship Connected feasibility randomised controlled trial. You will ensure the team provides consistent, high quality, relational support that reflects Kinship’s values and trauma-informed practice.
You will work closely with the Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager and will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.
The Programmes Manager leads practice quality, staff development, safeguarding and relational delivery. The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager leads operational quality, systems, processes, data and compliance. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead the day-to-day practice and relational delivery of the Kinship Connected (Navigator) support model.

Support Kinship Family Workers to deliver high quality, trauma-informed and strengths-based support to kinship carers.

Ensure clear case management, boundaries, risk management and reflective practice.

Embed the delivery approach set out in the Intervention Protocol and Kinship Navigator Service Manual.

Ensure equity, accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of delivery, with particular focus on minoritised ethnic kinship families.

Maintain delivery tracking and operational dashboards.

Provide high quality line management, reflective supervision and pastoral support to Kinship Family Workers
Essential knowledge and experience includes:

Strong experience leading frontline delivery teams providing emotional, relational or social care support.

Proven track record ensuring high quality casework, assessments, boundaries and risk management.

Experience delivering strengths-based, trauma-informed and evidence-informed approaches.

Substantial experience in line managing practitioners, delivering reflective supervision and supporting wellbeing.

BACKGROUND
Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG).
OUR SERVICES
Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.
Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.
We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.

Role outline and purpose
The Development Manager – Trusts & Foundations is responsible for delivering new relationships with a wide spectrum of Trusts and Foundations to grow our portfolio of high value funding partners. Responsible for developing compelling propositions and applications that drive transformational funding for our strategic programmes of work, maximising income generation, though prospecting, cultivating and securing funding to deliver against our strategic objectives and ambitious income targets.

Role responsibilities
· Work with the Programme Funding team to deliver our income generation strategy, meeting income targets based on long term financial forecasts, by proactively developing new opportunities, propositions and relationships with a wide variety of Trusts and Foundations – including corporate foundations, family trusts and institutional trusts.
· Proactively identify, develop and nurture relationships with potential funders to maximise fundraising potential.
· Work alongside the High Value Partnerships team to ensure new funders are onboarded and handed over to account management and supporting with compelling propositions to uplift and retain their support.
· Provide line management support to the Development Officer – Trusts.
· Collaborate with our marketing and content teams to ensure we can communicate the impact of our high value supporters on our mission.

This role will deliver the ITF Group financial budget, forecasts, reports of actual results and explanations of variances, be responsible for the chart of accounts and accruals and prepayments, and develop and exploit the use of finance systems and interfaces with other systems.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Budgeting, forecasting and reporting: Deliver the ITF Group financial budget and forecasts, propose budgeting assumptions, issue monthly accounts and variance analysis and report on financial risks and opportunities.
- Engage with stakeholders: Deliver reports of actual results, and explanations of variances to budget and forecast, to the Finance Director, senior managers and other stakeholders.
- Group-wide reporting: Review, challenge as required, and process expenditure returns from regional offices and upload these to the finance system to be included in ITF Group actual results.
- Chart of accounts: Responsible for the chart of accounts, opening and closing elements of the accounts, other coding matters, and controlling access rights to the finance systems and other financial information.
- Accounting: Responsible for all accruals and prepayments, including overseeing those posted by the Head of Finance, Financial Controller and others.
- Supporting business partners: Provide regular donor funding reporting, accrue or defer income and expenditure, and make coding changes as requested by the donor funding team.
- Assisting audits: Prepare for and assist with the external audit and year-end and complete allocated balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strategy and projects: Strategic and ad hoc projects and financial modelling.
- Systems: Develop and exploit the use of finance systems and interfaces with other systems, upgrade finance systems, manage the relationships with finance software suppliers and ensure resilience, backups and contingency plans in relation to finance systems.
About You
You are a qualified accountant (e.g., CCAB or CIMA) with a proven track record in a senior finance role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Advanced Excel and intermediate Word skills.
- Practical experience with complex finance databases (e.g., Sage, Oracle, SAP) and, reporting tools.
- Strong project management skills.
- Direct experience of being audited by external financial auditors.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience preparing annual reports and financial statements, with a solid knowledge of accounting standards and HMRC requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, be numerate and have the organisational skills to meet tight deadlines.
- A problem solving and systematic approach.
- A willingness to adapt working hours during periods of high demand to ensure deadlines are met.
- Be fluent in English.

- Experience in implementing new finance databases and reporting tools.

The Finance and Corporate Services Manager will report to the Finance and Corporate Services Director and be responsible for the day to day management of the accounting systems including the book keeping, payroll, bank payments and month end procedures for Invictus UK 2027 Limited, and its trading subsidiary Invictus UK 2027 Trading Limited, which will deliver the Invictus Games that will take place in Birmingham in 2027, and for the associated impact activities.
Job responsibilities
Financial Control
· Manage the Xero accounting system, including:
• updates to the chart of accounts,
• access controls,
• development of reports to support financial reporting requirements
• Uploading budgets as they develop
· Manage all bookkeeping, ensuring all invoices are authorised and recorded on Xero
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of expense claims, and support with implementation and training of an expenses system
· Maintain accurate intercompany recharge records between the Charity and the trading subsidiary
· Lead the month-end process, ensuring all balance sheet accounts in both entities are fully reconciled
· Ensure costs are accurately allocated against government grant funding or unrestricted income
· Oversee all HMRC reporting, including quarterly consolidated VAT submissions, PAYE/NI and Gift Aid returns and statutory tax requirements
· Manage payroll including setting up new employees and ensure all related submissions and payments are made on time
· Maintain secure online banking protocols and oversee supplier, staff, Board and payroll payments across both entities. Ensure payments are processed on Xero on a timely basis and Xero is reconciled to the bank weekly.
· Ensure timely invoicing and recognition of sponsorship, and other income, including accruals for commission payments
· Assist in the preparation of documents for the annual audit process for both the Charity and the trading subsidiary
Financial Reporting
· Produce accurate and timely financial reports for donors and grant providers
· Prepare consolidated monthly balance sheet and income statement for inclusion in the management accounts
· Prepare monthly report for department heads updated for spend to date, committed future spend and remaining budget
Corporate Services
· Take responsibility for finance onboarding of new staff/volunteers including explaining expenses policy and claim procedures
· Maintain a log of all supplier contracts, including key payment dates and cancellation dates
· Maintain a log of all sponsorship agreements, including invoice dates
· Maintain the asset log
· Lead on Games-specific finance tasks, as agreed by Finance & Corporate Services Director
· Support the director in other areas as required.
