A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Property Assistant, providing efficient and responsive administrative support across the full property team. You will be a friendly, motivated, and active administrator who will play a key role in the smooth running of the property department.

You will be pro-active, organised, with good initiative being the main point of contact responding to estate and property related enquiries and reports of issues, from tenants, customers, contractors and the community.  You will therefore need to possess or demonstrate a willingness to provide a good level of customer service with property knowledge.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Provide efficient and effective administrative support across the Property team, including daily active filing, archiving, photocopying, scanning and record keeping.
• Initial point of contact for enquiries to the Property team.
• Provide a responsive customer service handling system to record such enquiries.
• Coordinating the general day-to-day activities of the Head of Property & Estates in relation to emails, posts, and voicemails.
• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of property particulars, void reports, and reviewing property marketing websites for current information.
• Cross-referencing and managing the prospective tenant’s selection list with the historical enquiry list and alerting the team of any repeat/active enquiries.
• Regular visits to Trust premises to record any Health and Safety/Fire Risk Assessment breaches and reporting these to the appropriate Facilities Management team member. 
• Assist with attending Unit Base Parking/Filming/Events on the estate, recording any infringements of agreements on site, and notifying the appropriate team member for further follow-on action.
• Preparing notification details for relevant authorities for entry and exit of tenants – rates, utilities, etc.
• Assisting with servicing property meetings (i.e., circulating papers, coordinating actions where required).
• Responsible for the recording of void premises and issuing of building keys.
• Occasionally provide assistance to the Trust’s reception/office manager for general office duties and reception cover if required.

Knowledge and Experience:

• A minimum of one year’s experience in a busy property department.
• A broad understanding of commercial property or demonstrable experience of transferable skills if you are from a different sector.
• Customer focused, with the ability to provide a friendly and efficient service to customers, staff and tenants.
• Good time management, attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure with changing priorities.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• High level IT skills and experience of using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The RSCM is on a mission to enable the flourishing of church music, and in particular to get children singing.

Working across the whole charity, you will work to sell existing products, courses and events, as well as membership subscriptions. With a passion for the power of singing and music, you will persuade musicians, teachers and members of church communities of the value of RSCM’s offerings. Role Summary

As the Director of Research and Public Affairs you lead a team working across the full range of research work (including commissioning, grant-making and in-house research) and public affairs work (including policy analysis, advocacy work and mobilising our activists). You also contribute to the charity’s strategies, leadership and governance as a member of the Executive Team. Ultimately, your role is to generate new knowledge; and communicate knowledge, ideas and emotions to change hearts and minds, creating tangible reductions in alcohol harm across the UK.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Leadership, strategy & planning

1. Lead the research and public affairs functions at Alcohol Change UK.

2. Produce and deliver plans across our research and public affairs work programmes that are ambitious for change (impact), realistic given our resources, and consistent with our strategy, our other work programmes, and our values.

3. Set budgets, tightly control costs and identify opportunities for making savings, growing income and making the case for investment.

4. Appropriately monitor and evaluate our research and public affairs work with a view to knowing, growing and showing the impact we make.

Research

5. Work closely with the CEO, Policy and Research Manager, R&P sub-committee and Wales Office to determine and oversee the charity’s programme of commissioned research, research grants, and in-house research.

6. Ensure that all research is designed with impact-in-mind and, once complete, that it delivers on that impact through active and ongoing communication of the findings to the right audiences with the right messages through the right channels.

7. Lead the research function to be the central hub for the charity on the topic of alcohol harm and its solutions, staying on top of new research.

8. Influence the research spending of other agencies (e.g. NIHR) with a view to maximising funding into alcohol research in general.

Public Affairs

9. Lead and manage the charity’s public affairs activity, deploying the CEO, Research & Policy Officer and other staff as a team.

10.  Lead our work with external alliances, such as the Alcohol Health Alliance and the Alcohol and Families Alliance, and on the APPG on Alcohol Harm.

11.  Develop excellent relationships with Parliamentarians, civil servants, charities and other important institutional actors in our field.

12.  Build Campaigner journeys for our engagement audience to best mobilise them to help us with our influencing work.

13.  Lead on the commissioning and management of any external public affairs agencies, parliamentary monitoring services and similar suppliers.

14.  Ensure our policy positions are kept up-to-date, based on emerging evidence and contemporary thinking, and consistent with our principles.

15.  Work closely with the Director of Engagement and Fundraising to effectively mobilise and deploy our activists, Community Champions and other supporters so they (i) make a difference, (ii) become better informed over time, and (iii) remain motivated to campaign for our cause.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London.  Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years, and this new role has been identified by the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer to support Jigsaw4u’s position and aspirations for the future.

As a member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), you will help to deliver and shape Jigsaw4u's vision and strategy. As our Access & Learning Assistant (Digital), you will deliver across the whole range of Access and Learning Department activities, while leading on the creation of digital content.

This is an innovative new service, integrating the expertise, skills and knowledge of the VCS network in Barnet with NHS Mental Health services. The purpose of the role is to provide psycho-social support to clients, working within specialist Mental Health teams and the partners of the Wellbeing Together CIC.

The role will carry an active caseload supporting access into services appropriate to their level of need, with a focus on recovery and independence, and improve self-management of their wellbeing through intensive support. CEPs will support the core community mental health teams working in alignment with Primary Care Networks as part of the new model.

The CEP team will focus on empowering clients to achieve socio-economic goals with clear mental health and wellbeing benefits, and team members will also have specific training in areas such as employment and housing to support the wider PSS service team. The post holder will help to facilitate and co-deliver recovery focused groups and contribute to the development of new community resources.

The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. The primary objectives are to ensure a high-quality service is delivered to our beneficiaries; to develop our regional peer support model; and to facilitate a positive volunteering experience for our lived experience volunteer team. Responsibilities will include the day-to-day coordination of peer support activity. This will involve sensitive communication with trauma-affected individuals to understand their needs and preferences, using this information to facilitate suitable peer support matches.

The postholder will contribute to building a diverse volunteer team by supporting the volunteer recruitment and induction processes. They will offer ongoing support, guidance and motivation to our volunteers, ensuring meaningful opportunities to engage with Day One. Day One is a young, ambitious national charity dedicated to supporting people impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences such as disability or death, referred to in the NHS as ‘major trauma’.  Our Caseworkers work alongside NHS Clinicians, embedded as part of the team within Major Trauma Centres and across the wider Major Trauma Network to provide practical, emotional and financial support to adults and children as well as their families and loved ones.  Inspired ‘by patients for patients’ our vision is that no one has to piece life back together on their own after catastrophic injury.

We are looking for a capable and creative individual to join the leadership of Resurgo, with oversight of strategy development and implementation, finance and governance. As a strong leader and people manager with experience across strategy and finance, you will have an ability to lead projects with multiple complex priorities through to completion, be a confident decision maker and communicator, and be passionate about social transformation.

The important stuff 

Salary: from £70,000 with significant flexibility

Contract: Interim

Hours: 5 days per week (4 considered), 9.30am – 5.30pm, with occasional evening work for events such as our Spear Celebrations.

Location: Hammersmith, London – we are an office-based organisation with some work at home possible in agreement with the line manager

Person Specification 

• An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and our mission to play a meaningful part in the repair of our social fabric
• Strong strategic thinking and business and financial acumen – experience in a management consulting or financial management role is essential
• Self-motivated forward planner with the ability to navigate complex fast-moving environments, adapt to changing circumstances, and exercise initiative, with a track record of driving growth and achieving results
• Financially literate, with experience overseeing strategic financial processes, e.g., budgeting, financial management and resource allocation
• Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. An awareness of charity regulatory and compliance requirements is beneficial
• Strong proven leadership skills and the ability to relate confidently to a range of audiences
• Relational team player with high emotional intelligence, a sense of humour and fun, and the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams

Key Responsibilities
 

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Leading the organisation through the iterative development and implementation of strategic projects to serve the ambition of Resurgo, to “inspire and equip organisations to deliver ambitious and sustainable social change”
• Provide direction and support to Heads of Department, setting them up to succeed in the implementation of ambitious plans
• Line management of the Strategy Managaer, who project manages and drives the delivery of annual departmental targets and strategic projects across the organisation.

Finance

• Line management of Head of Finance, providing strategic leadership in the development of the finance function and oversight of organisational financial management
• Lead the annual planning process, working with the Head of Finance and Director of People, Culture & Operations to shape and deliver annual financial planning

Oversight of Governance, Risk and Opportunity

• Executive Chair of the Strategy, Finance and Risk steering group, owning the most significant risks and opportunities facing Resurgo at an organisational level, ensuring actions are taken to mitigate risks and that we are set up to maximise opportunity
• Responsible for overseeing governance structures and ensuring they are fit for purpose as the organisation develops and grows
• Supporting the Executive Assistant to the CEO in the facilitation of the effective running of the Boards of Resurgo Trust and Resurgo Consulting, including planning and overseeing Board and key Steering Group meetings.

Active Participation in and Support for Resurgo’s team and mission

• Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member, including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission

We lead the movement to introduce Proportional Representation (PR) to the House of Commons. We combine the power of people taking action from the grassroots up, with coordinated activity by a cross-party Alliance of politicians, public figures, parties and organisations to win PR in years, rather than decades.

About the role

As CEO, you'll support us through a new stage in our development. We're operating in a fluid political environment and so our new leader needs to be confident to work in a political setting while also having the skills and experience to run an organisation like ours.

You'll take ultimate responsibility for our campaign to achieve Proportional Representation in the House of Commons. You will:

• as leader of the campaign, be primarily responsible for building the popular and political momentum needed to secure this seismic reform;
• as leader of the organisation, be primarily responsible for defining and executing MVM’s strategy, while ensuring its good financial health and legal and regulatory compliance; and
• as leader to our staff and volunteer team, be primarily responsible for providing clarity of direction while ensuring the organisation maintains a collaborative, empowering and inspiring culture.

You will:

• lead the UK campaign for Proportional Representation;
• ensure MVM has a clear external brand, with consistent messages, effective and emotive arguments, and impactful use of evidence;
• be a spokesperson for the organisation on a variety of public platforms including national media and at key MVM events;
• create and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders;
• lead on development of MVM's post-election strategic plan;
• line manage and delegate responsibilities to staff, as appropriate;
• take ultimate responsibility for the good governance of MVM, including but not limited to the organisation’s financial health, legal compliance, and good standing with regulatory bodies;
• with support of relevant MVM staff, to ensure that the Board is supported in performing its governance role;
• support and comply with MVM’s policies active within the organisation pertinent to the role; and
• undertake other related duties as required to assist MVM in meeting its objectives.

About you

• you have a track-record as a successful leader in an organisation of comparable size, or equivalent managerial or director experience;
• you have political or campaigning experience, an understanding of the UK’s democracy sector and an ability to work in a non-partisan, cross-party way;
• you have experience of being a spokesperson on public platforms;
• you have a collaborative approach to team management and facilitating empowerment of staff;
• you have prior experience of good governance practices, financial planning and managing an operation to tight budgets;
• you are an experienced leader of people, able to ensure coherent and aligned activities across staff, governance and volunteer teams that support the overall objectives and enable high impact campaigns to be realised;
• you have excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to convey a message with impact and inspire trust; being comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders, volunteers, staff and funders;
• you are a high achiever with an ambitious mindset; and
• you have a strong personal commitment to winning Proportional Representation.
