The Finance & Office Executive will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and effective administration of the charity. Working closely with the CEO and Head of Finance & Operations, the postholder will provide financial assistance, manage the office, and undertake the administrative functions required to support the smooth running of the charity.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems and people. You’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering the charity’s financial and operational strategy and enabling the Trustees to fulfil their legal and fiduciary obligations. 1. Financial Controls

• Maintain effective financial control over all revenue, expenditure, and cash handling across the community.

The Finance Officer will work within the Finance Department to provide essential day today financial processing, support and advice. About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to support the Senior Finance Manager in the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations. You will play a key role in maintaining financial controls, supporting the annual audit, processing transactions, and delivering timely financial reporting. This is a pivotal position within a small, dedicated finance team, where you will support the effectiveness of day-to-day financial support and ensure that accurate, timely information is available to management. You’ll be responsible for recording financial data across a range of systems and processes, helping to provide a robust financial foundation for Suffolk Wildlife Trust.

A major focus of the role will be the accurate and efficient processing of all financial transactions. This includes the purchase and sales ledgers, carrying out bank reconciliations, managing credit control and supporting the approval of payment runs.

Your attention to detail and strong numeracy skills will be essential in maintaining the integrity of the Trust’s financial records and ensuring that everything ties up smoothly each month and at year end.

Alongside core finance work, you will support the Trust’s trading operations by managing the online shop, overseeing stock for both online and retail outlets and working with EPOS and ECWID systems. You’ll also provide finance support to the Consultancy Team and Café operations, helping these income-generating activities run smoothly and contribute to the Trust’s wider objectives.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will support key financial cycles including year-end and the annual audit for both the Trust and SWT Trading, as well as month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and management accounts. You’ll also assist with VAT returns, legacies, project reconciliations, restricted fund allocations, budgeting and ad hoc reporting, giving you a broad and varied workload.

The ideal candidate will have strong numeracy and Excel skills, previous experience in a similar finance role and either AAT qualified or qualified by equivalent experience. You’ll be organised, efficient, proactive and comfortable multi-tasking in a small team, with a willingness to learn and take a hands-on approach. Above all, you’ll be motivated by Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s mission and keen to use your finance skills to support nature’s recovery in Suffolk.

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week over four days based at our main office Brooke House in Ashbocking. We operate flexible homeworking arrangements where colleagues spend more time working together than homeworking. The starting salary will be between £24,800 (FTE £31,000) and £26,400 (FTE £33,000) per annum depending on skills, knowledge and experience. Full time hours (37.5 over five days) would be considered for the right candidate.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the CEO as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the role of Director of Finance exists to maximise the effective deployment of Unseen’s resources in pursuit of the charity’s mission. The Director’s primary objective is to drive improvements in efficiency and value for money, optimising how the organisation’s human and financial resources, and physical and virtual infrastructures are utilised to achieve the greatest impact for survivors and stakeholders.

In essence, the Director of Finance will act as Unseen’s chief financial strategist – ensuring financial sustainability and growth, compliance and accountability, while continuously enhancing internal processes and resource allocation. By delivering excellent financial oversight, proactive risk management, and effective operational support, this role enables Unseen’s front-line teams and programs to flourish. The post-holder will balance professionalism and rigour with empathy and a genuine commitment to Unseen UK’s vision of a world without slavery.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be accountable for the sale and purchase ledgers for the various legal entities across the group of charities and companies for which the finance department is responsible.

You will match and code invoices, prepare and run BACS payments, reconciling bank statements and working out VAT payments.  You will provide a professional and efficient service to the finance function, monitoring how much is owed at all times and providing accurate financial information to the Finance Director as needed.

Finance Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

· Checking, coding and posting invoices

· Making payments via online banking.

· Processing financial support requests to charity beneficiaries

· Processing monthly credit card statements.

· Processing staff expenses

· Setting up of new customer and supplier accounts, and maintaining existing account details

· Reconciliation of supplier statements

· Liaising with suppliers and being the first point of contact for all relevant enquiries

· Raising sales invoices as and when required.

· Chasing customers for outstanding invoices and working to resolve queries as and when they arise.

· Monthly bank reconciliations

· Updating crisis and grant analysis schedules.

Technical competencies required and demonstrable in your application:

· Sage knowledge would be advantageous for this role

· Bookkeeping

· Advanced excel skills and working knowledge of other Microsoft applications

· Experience working in a financial environment and able to demonstrate an understanding of accounting issues

· Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with limited supervision by identifying sources of errors, making retrospective corrections, and ensuring that appropriate changes are put in place to prevent reoccurrence

Asylum Justice is the only charity in Wales - and one of very few in the UK - providing free legal advice and representation to people seeking asylum, refugees, and other migrants who are excluded from legal aid. Every day, we help people navigate a hostile system, challenge injustice, and secure safety for themselves and their families.

Demand for our services is higher than ever. In the past year alone, our caseload increased by nearly 50%, and we've taken on more complex, urgent cases - including supporting unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and people at immediate risk of destitution or deportation.

We’re now looking for a Funding Officer to join our small, committed team and help secure the resources we need to sustain and grow our work. This is a chance to make a tangible difference - not just in helping us meet income targets, but in strengthening access to justice for some of the most marginalised people in Wales.

The role is hybrid working (Cardiff office and remote working) but fully remote working may also be considered. We are open to compressed hours or part-time working (minimum 28 hours) for the right candidate. We also welcome applications from people interested in a job share arrangement.

About the role

This is a hands-on, varied role that combines fundraising, relationship management, and impact storytelling. You’ll work closely with our Legal Director and wider team to:

• Research and identify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources
• Write compelling funding bids and reports that reflect our impact and values
• Maintain excellent relationships with funders and support project coordination with delivery partners
• Coordinate grant reporting and keep accurate records of income, spend, and deadlines
• Support internal monitoring and evaluation to strengthen our evidence base
