The platform has a growing customer base, and with increasing opportunities to equip youth workers in reaching young people who are not stuck into church, this role is an essential one to ensure our subscribers are well-resourced to reach the young people they encounter.

As Viva’s Head of Impact, you will work closely with the Network Partnerships Team Leadership to lead the development of a new approach to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning, with the primary purpose of supporting partner networks to know their impact and share learning with each other. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Shared leadership: You will contribute to strategic decision making as part of the Network Partnerships Leadership Team and be part of shaping the vision and practice of Viva as an organisation from a Christian faith perspective.
- Viva MEAL framework: You will develop and manage a robust MEAL Framework for Viva
- Network health: You will work closely with the Network Partnerships Leadership Team to review Viva’s Network Health Check process and develop a system designed to support partner networks to build strong and sustainable networks
- Reviewing project delivery: You will work closely with Network Coaches to agree the most efficient outworking of the MEAL Framework with the Viva partner networks for projects where Viva has brokered funding.
- Evaluating Viva’s work: You will lead the process of evaluating Viva’s work, including but not limited to needs assessments, baseline survey, final evaluation, data quality audits, collecting monitoring data, network satisfaction surveys, and field supervision.
- Representing Viva: You will at different times and ways represent Viva externally, for example, through speaking in churches, prayer meetings, meeting with other Christian organisations.
This role will suit you if you:
- have at least a Bachelor’s degree in impact measurement or international development with a MEAL module, or a related field
- are experienced in working in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning-related functions or related field
- have experience in project management including grant management and reporting
- are to demonstrate an active Christian faith, with an understanding of the Christian faith and church culture to be able to effectively engage with partner networks and churches
- think creatively and have a growth mindset, willing to challenge established ways of doing things

Due to the nature of some of the key responsibilities, there is an Occupational Requirement for the postholder to be a Christian (Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010).
This is a part-time role for Viva, based anywhere in the world where Viva can employ you. If based in the UK, the full-time salary range is £36,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience. If you are based outside of the UK, the reward package will be adjusted to reflect the relevant local market and terms and conditions.
The role can be remote, hybrid or office-based where Viva has an office (Hong Kong, UK, Uganda). The post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and registration with the DBS Update Service (or police check where possible outside the UK), paid for by Viva.

What you will do:

The apprenticeship programme is due to start in September 2024, provided by the Juice Academy - an industry-led apprenticeship provider. They are partnered with Jane Montague Consultancy to deliver the 13-15 month Fundraiser Level 3 programme. Apprentices work on the job within a charity whilst receiving 20% off the job training from current industry experts. The training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning (two optional in-person days) in Manchester, and virtual half-day classrooms via Zoom. Apprentices also receive the on-the-job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices go through an End Point Assessment and are graded a pass, merit or distinction. Apprentices currently have a 94% distinction rate. The Juice Academy are part of the Apprentify Group, and development coaches support apprentices throughout the programme.

We are seeking a confident and experienced Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant with a wide range of skills and importantly, a ‘can do’ approach. As a Modern Slavery Case Worker Assistant, you will provide high quality practical and emotional support to potential victims of modern slavery within a safehouse setting.
You will work as a member of the team providing a safe temporary environment for vulnerable adults who have experienced trauma and exploitation. The role will involve assisting service users with increasing practical skills and self-confidence to empower and enable independent and safe living.
This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Applicants must be willing to work flexibly, which will include on call duties, evenings, weekends and bank. Both roles will work between two properties approx. 4 miles apart on a Rota basis. A full induction and continuous training will be given.
The 30 hour per week post will be shifts from 4pm-10pm, 5 days per week, however, the initial induction will consist of day shifts until knowledge of safe house is comprehensive.
You must have experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a ‘risk associated’ environment and ideally experience of working within a residential or community setting with non-UK citizens. Relevant social care qualifications or suitable experience of supporting vulnerable people is essential.

You will be working as part of the West Sussex night team providing mobile support to our 24-hour services, ensuring that our transitional properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night. You will be based at the Horsham Y Centre and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.
In addition, you will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.
This is a mobile role, requiring all applicants to have a full valid, UK Driving Licence. You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.
You will work on four nights on, four nights off rota. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.
