You will give advice and information to carers and work closely with them to develop person centred support plans. You will work within a Community Support Team to deliver peer support groups, wellbeing activities, advice surgeries, outreach and events across the borough.
If you have experience of 1-1 support work and of providing advice and information, particularly around welfare benefits, this could be the perfect role for you. As part of the Trusts and Institutional funding team of four you’ll work alongside the Head of Trusts and Institutional, Trusts Manager and Trusts Executive, and be line managed by the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Lead.
Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes. You’ll ensure compliance with quality and donor requirements, contribute to effective risk management, provide support for the different donor accounts and ensure processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient.

The Membership engagement officers (MEO) are actively engaged within their areas, meeting Branch members, supporting their activities and building a stronger membership fit for the next 100 years.

The Membership Engagement Officer (MEO) is a key role which inspires and engages our membership to be active and fulfil their role and purpose while remaining compliant with the Legion’s Membership handbook and policies. We are looking for an effective, diligent multi-tasker with excellent customer service and communication skills who can both support and challenge.
The MEO provides organisational support, advice and information to our members, and works closely with County Committees, membership central team staff and other departments. This a varied role which covers a range of duties from connecting and building relationships with Branches to compliance oversight and responding to membership queries.

You will be contracted to your home address. You will be expected to work both there, using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues and members, and on a mobile basis with frequent travel to local branches and at other locations in the Northumbria area and beyond (incl. for monthly team meetings).
This is a Part Time post, working 21 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Working arrangement to be as agreed with Management and a degree of flexibility is needed. Evening and weekend work will be required.

We’re looking for a new Finance Officer to join our small finance team. You'll ensure that all transactions are input into our accounting software Xero, process invoices and expenses, perform bank reconciliations, and be the first point of contact for all financial queries. As part of the Support Team you will also ensure the smooth running of our office.
We’re looking for someone with strong numeracy skills and attention to detail. Your knowledge of Excel sets you apart and experience of financial software is a must.
