Job Title: Service Manager 

Location: Bermondsey, near Surrey Quays station. This location has step free and lift access. Work from home can be flexible upon prior agreement with Head of Service (Line Manager)

Salary: £41,600

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Onsite face to face service, with flexibility around these hours required as per resident and service requirements. All managers, including this position will take part in the out of hours on call duty.

About the Role

We're seeking a Service Manager to lead our new service which is opening based in Bermondsey, an Independent Approved Premises (IAP) commissioned by Criminal Justice Services (CJS). The service works with residents who have recently been released from prison and helps them to reintegrate into the community, and restart their journey to independence. The team will identify resident needs alongside any licensing restrictions, and will create tailored, person centred support plans including housing support, activities, and personal journey outcomes to help them to reintegrate. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners, with a focus on risk management and public protection. 

As a Service Manager, you will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will drive service outcomes in line with our contractual requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, within a trauma informed setting. You will ensure all aspects of the service run smoothly and in collaboration with our internal teams and external partners. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, and has a real passion to create a safe space where individuals can thrive to meet personal outcomes.

About You

We're seeking someone with a genuine passion for making a difference and helping to create safer communities for everyone. You will be a proactive leader, with the ability to motivate and empower a team to drive excellence as individuals and as a team, as well as provide proactive solutions to challenges. You will be knowledgeable of the Criminal Justice System and able to provide advice and guidance to the team to deliver outcomes within a residential setting. We're looking for someone who can build rapport, trust, and a psychologically informed environment for residents, staff, and relevant stakeholders.

• Ability to provide high quality support and line management to staff.

• Ability to support the Service Manager and help manage staff with daily tasks, caseloads and overall day to day running of the service.

Deputy Service Manager

Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based within the Non-residential service in Wembley, working within communities, homes, and other residentials. This service does have step free access however we are unable to guarantee this at some of the other locations where the role is based such as homes and community based locations.

Salary: £31,700

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, hours may be extended 08:00 - 18:00. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service/participant requirements. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Wembley. You will support the Service Manager to ensure high quality service delivery, being a key contact for staff, helping them feel supported, skilled, and empowered within their roles. In this role you will be based within a service which is at the heart of delivering person-centred support to vulnerable adults who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle

About the role

Reporting in to the Head of Impact for the Multi-Country Cluster (MCC), the Partnership & Strategy Lead for the Latin America & Caribbean region is s responsible for leading a team working across the cluster and across national boundaries, ensuring that the cluster has a wide and diverse programme portfolio of Civil Society partners contributing to Christian Aid’s global strategy and aligning with organisational values and goals to maximise impact.

In the Latin America and Caribbean region, Christian Aid operates in Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti. 

The role spearheads the decolonised and localised approach across the cluster and ensures that programme delivery contributes to progress towards Christian Aid’s decolonial journey.

The post-holder will ensure that all work is carried out in line with Christian Aid partnership approach and standards, and ensures demonstrable best practice in programme delivery, including quality and consistency.

As a key member of the MCC Senior Leadership Team, the role collaborates closely with the other leads within the cluster and with global programme colleagues to ensure that advocacy is rooted in community experience for impact, and that learning is carried out in a way that is mutually beneficial to CA and our partners.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Partnership & Strategy Lead includes:

• Lead the cluster programme team to identify, foster and build potential new active and inactive partnerships (e.g. local partners, civil society networks, alliances and relevant government bodies) that can contribute to greater impact in the priority countries.
• Ensure efficient and effective management of Christian Aid’s programmes across the cluster by setting objectives that align to organisational values and goals and ensuring that grants and initiatives are co-designed, strategic and that they connect partners and communities across diverse geographies.
• Oversee both restricted and unrestricted budgets and effectively engage resources required for the MCC partnership portfolio to achieve success.
• Use the decolonised and localised approach as the framework to support cluster-based and dispersed staff to build a diverse portfolio of partners that can deliver locally led responses, be prepared for crises and challenge systems that drive poverty.
• Ensure work is happening across national boundaries, that the local is connected to the global, while horizon scanning and keeping a watching brief for radar countries linked to the cluster.
• Collaborate with MCC Leadership Team, particularly the Advocacy and Policy Lead to ensure advocacy and policy work at national and global levels are connected and rooted in community experience to drive meaningful change.
• Foster a leadership style which reinforces collective responsibility, mutual accountability, open communication, dynamism, interdependence, and organisational learning to support a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Liaise with head of operations to oversee delivery of donor commitments and ensure that contracts are managed by the Restricted Funding Manager to enable funds to be released.
• Lead innovative approaches to supporting Civil Society, particularly alongside the ACT Alliance, in Christian Aid’s thematic areas, building alliances, reaching new audiences (including donors) and working with new and different entities to ensure programmes, partners and communities have what they need to eradicate symptoms and challenge structures of poverty.

About the Role

This is a unique role that connects Learning and Development (L&D) with Recruitment to ensure the College attracts, recruits and develops the right talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

We're seeking a Deputy Service Manager to join our new service which is opening based in Bermondsey, an Independent Approved Premises (IAP) commissioned by Criminal Justice Services (CJS). The service works with residents who have recently been released from prison and helps them to reintegrate into the community, and restart their journey to independence. The team will identify resident needs alongside any licensing restrictions, and will create tailored, person centred support plans including housing support, activities, and personal journey outcomes to help them to reintegrate. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners, with a focus on risk management and public protection. 

As a Deputy Service Manager, you will lead the team by providing line management and leadership support to enable and empower the team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will support the Service Manager in driving service outcomes in line with our contractual requirements, ensuring quality, consistency, within a trauma informed setting.

As our Special Events Manager, you’ll be the creative force behind a dazzling calendar of high-value committee and corporate events each one bringing people together and helping us raise over £2.1 million every year for an incredible cause. We’re looking for someone who’s as confident behind the scenes as they are in the spotlight. You’ll be highly organised, a brilliant communicator, and fuelled by the buzz of fundraising. From planning to delivery, you’ll make every event seamless, inspiring and unforgettable.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a portfolio of exciting, committee-led and special events, delivering exceptional experiences for our supporters
• Providing expert operational and administrative support for cultivation and stewardship events.
• Championing excellence through meticulous planning, strong stakeholder engagement and best-practice event delivery
• Managing event budgets, maximising income and controlling costs through creative fundraising and strategic partnerships
• Building strong relationships with committees, volunteers and external partners, bringing Marie Curie’s mission to life
• Collaborating on innovative event ideas, securing gifts in kind and negotiating the best value with venues and suppliers
• Driving the creation of high-quality promotional materials that reflect our brand and values
• Attending special events across the UK and playing an active role in our vibrant, supportive fundraising team

To shine in this role, you’ll bring energy, creativity and a strong track record of delivering brilliant events. You’ll also have:

• Proven experience in event management, ideally within fundraising, charity, or a fast-paced, stakeholder-led environment
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines and priorities without missing the detail
• Outstanding communication skills, confident in building relationships and engaging audiences both in writing and face-to-face
• Strong budget management experience, with the ability to maximise income, control costs and demonstrate value for money
• A collaborative approach, working effectively with committees, volunteers, colleagues and external partners
• Negotiation and influencing skills, enabling you to secure gifts in kind and achieve the best outcomes with suppliers and venues
• Creative thinking, bringing fresh ideas to events while maintaining high standards and brand consistency
• A genuine passion for fundraising and making a difference, aligned with Marie Curie’s values and mission
