The role:
As the Commercial Events Manager at Shakespeare’s Globe, you will be responsible for driving the sales and successful delivery of high-quality, income-generating Commercial Events. You will also lead on developing new revenue streams from bespoke event opportunities and will work toward an annual income target for Commercial Events. This role will spearhead the development and delivery of a commercial income strategy that supports year-on-year growth, in line with the organisation’s goals for commercial income.

The skills:

•  Ability to work towards an income target and accurately record financial records to enable efficient reporting and analysis.
•  Proven experience of managing and converting event enquiries and maintaining accurate client records.
•  Ability to manage a broad portfolio of Commercial Events alongside a pool of enquiries.
• Excellent and proven event management skills, including internal administration, risk assessments, booking procedures, diary management, event briefings, contracts and agreements, invoices and post-event evaluation.
• Knowledge of technical, logistical and legal requirements for events e.g. relevant Health and Safety legislation.
• Personable and confident in communicating with others at all levels of seniority, whether in person, over the phone or in writing.
• Proficiency in databases and MS Windows-based software packages.
•  Ability to work well under your own initiative as well as effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of new business development to generate new leads and income.
• Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends where events require it.

Overview of the Role

Together with the Community Programmes Manager and Officer, you will be coordinating the day-to-day administrative aspects of our programmes. This will include providing our Affiliated Societies members with an exceptional service and growing its membership. You will need to have a flexible approach to work, the ability to multitask and maintain a friendly approach when liaising with different people, ensuring high levels of customer care and excellent attention to detail.

As Community Programmes Coordinator you will be responsible for:

• Coordinating Affiliated Societies membership to ensure members have a positive experience and continue their relationship with the RHS.

• Providing administrative support to the Britain in Bloom Federation

• Working with the Community Programmes Officer to research, plan and organise the Britain in Bloom UK Finals competition judging.

• Organising and supporting National Community Programmes online or in-person events, network meetings and services.
• Providing administrative support to the National Community Programmes team to ensure programmes are delivered. 

About you

You will be able to show: 

• An enjoyment of working in secretarial and administrative settings including collating data, organising meetings, scheduling diaries and answering general enquiries.

• An interest and experience of planning and making travel and accommodation bookings.

• Extensive experience in the development and delivery of events, visitor experiences and engagement in the natural environment, arts and culture or attractions sectors.
• Ability to think strategically and identify areas where experiences can support the delivery of organisational strategy.

About the role

The Head of Fundraising and Communications will lead the development and delivery of a systematic, data-driven, and project-managed approach to fundraising and communications — driving sustainable income growth and raising the charity’s profile and influence.

As the charity’s strategic lead for fundraising, they will shape and expand our income streams, strengthen systems and processes, and build a high-performing team to help us reach more young people with our vital work. They will also lead on external communications and storytelling, ensuring our narrative is compelling, consistent, and rooted in the powerful impact of our programmes.

While this role will oversee a team of three, the postholder will be hands-on and deeply involved in the systems and practices they implement, ensuring excellence in both strategy and delivery.

This newly created role is a key position on the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO, and Head of Programmes to deliver The Ben Kinsella Trust’s vision and strategy.

As part of a small charity making a big impact, you will play a central role in ensuring Ben’s legacy continues to educate, empower, and inspire thousands more young people across London and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities

  Fundraising

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all fundraising activity, ensuring a systematic and dependable approach to income generation.
• Develop and deliver a long-term fundraising strategy that supports sustainable growth and diversification across grants & trusts, corporate donors, major donors, individual giving and community fundraising.
• Build and manage relationships with key funders and donors, working with the CEO and Fundraising Manager to cultivate and steward major partnerships.
• Maintain oversight and final sign-off of major and high-value funding applications to grants & trusts, corporate donors and major donors, ensuring they are well-structured, hold a compelling narrative, and are of the highest quality.
• Implement systems, processes, and KPIs to monitor performance, track pipelines, and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic fundraising insight and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.

  Senior Leadership Team

• Play a full and active role as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to organisational strategy, decision-making, and culture.
• Introduce and refine systems, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and collaboration across departments.
• Support strategic planning and financial forecasting, particularly in relation to income generation and communications activity.

  Communications and Marketing

• Develop and implement a comprehensive external communications strategy, providing strategic leadership communications and campaigns and ensuring alignment with the charity’s mission and priorities.
• Shape and oversee the charity’s external narrative, ensuring our storytelling is compelling, consistent, and rooted in impact.
• Manage the charity’s media, PR, and brand activity, ensuring all communications uphold high standards and strengthen the charity’s reputation.
• Lead the charity’s digital presence, including website, social media, paid advertising and online campaigns, to grow awareness and engagement.
• Lead the creation of high-quality marketing materials and publications to support fundraising, advocacy, and service delivery.
• Use data and insight to evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategy.

  Finance

• Responsible for the Fundraising and Communications budget and any related contracted services budgets, and any relevant restricted funds.

Experience 

• Experience in a senior fundraising role, with a track record of developing and delivering successful income generation strategies.
• Demonstrable experience in managing and overseeing complex fundraising applications across a variety of funders or for a broad and diverse funder base
• Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Experience managing budgets and working closely with finance colleagues on planning and forecasting.

Corporate Partnership Manager

Over the last five years we have increased the number of individuals and organisation supporting the charity from 800 to more than 3,500 a year. The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more patients and provide additional support at a time when it is more critical than ever for kidney patients.

The Corporate Partnership Manager will play a key role in this growth. Our Corporate Partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.

Primarily, you will be responsible for building engagement and driving new income via charity of the year partnerships, corporate partnerships, and employee fundraising. You will manage the Corporate Partnership Officer who is developing a growing portfolio of supporters across different sectors. You will also work closely with the Events Manager, Trust & Foundation Manager, Head of Fundraising and Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications as well as the wider Fundraising team to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth.

Alongside the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications who takes a special interest in the charity’s Corporate Partnerships, you will be tasked with planning, implementing, and delivering the activities, programmes and processes required to grow corporate income from c£2.3m in 2025 to even greater levels over the coming years.

You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist via our current partnerships and relationships. A key part of this role will require you to develop new opportunities and secure significant income (5-and-6 figure partnerships) through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.

The right candidate will have a proven record of generating strategic partnerships that result in 5-and 6-figure corporate income, building strong and rewarding relationships, with stewardships skills that generate long term support for the charity. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors.

The Referral, Assessment and Operational Development Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director with new business development, coordinating and managing referrals, assessments, tenancies and transitions for our customers with learning disabilities and autism.

Referral & Assessment Coordination
* Monitor and respond to referrals from external sources and direct contacts.
