This parental leave cover position will lead advocacy to influence governments, UN agencies and international stakeholders to increase investment in the animal health systems that support animal welfare.

You will coordinate the Action for Animal Health coalition, shape its next five-year strategy, and advocate for animal health and welfare to be recognised within global discussions on One Health, climate change, agrifood systems, antimicrobial resistance and pandemic prevention. Working across Brooke's Global Policy and Advocacy team, you will drive impactful advocacy that delivers lasting change for working horses, donkeys, mules and the communities that depend on them.

Criteria
We are looking for an experienced advocacy professional with substantial experience of influencing policy, advocacy, lobbying or campaigns at national and international levels. You will have experience of building partnerships and ideally coordinating coalitions or alliances, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to write compelling policy and advocacy materials. You will be a strategic and creative thinker, comfortable working autonomously while bringing people together to build consensus. Experience in animal health systems, global health, One Health, or transferable experience from related sectors such as human health or environmental policy would be highly valued.

Do you have experience influencing change and navigating complex political systems? We are looking for an External Affairs Adviser to join our wider Partnerships team at Macmillan to help us to deliver meaningful change for people with cancer, particularly the most marginalised groups.

This exciting role will provide advice and support to other professionals. A key part of this role involves contributing to the local Intimate Partner Violence Panel and Daily Safeguarding Meeting processes; representing survivors at these meetings and action planning alongside other agencies to improve survivor safety. Whilst working with other agencies, the Senior MASH IDVA will strive to keep survivor’s safety at the centre of all coordinated responses. The role involves the line management of frontline IDVAs, and management responsibilities of the overall projects are shared with the Service Manager.

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG and safeguarding. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of demonstrable experience of working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence in a multi-agency setting and a working knowledge of the criminal and civil justice systems.

The candidate will have essential experience of attending multi-agency risk-focused meetings such as MARAC, IPV or MAPPA.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, demonstrable substantial experience in providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG. A relevant qualification in VAWG or significant experience is essential.

Additional Information

This is a hybrid job role with the postholder working one day per week at Solace Head Office and a further day at our offices at Islington council. The remaining days can be remote based with the expectation of working additional days at the office to meet demands of the service.

The postholder will be required to have a relevant accredited VAWG /domestic abuse qualification.

The postholder will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG and a strong understanding of statutory systems including housing and social care.

A relevant qualification in VAWG is desirable.

The is a part-time post at 28 hours per week. The salary for this role is £21,940 - £22,901 pro-rata of £29,385 - £30,671 (Unqualified) or £21,940 - £24,967 pro-rata of £30,671 - £33,438 (Qualified). The successful candidate will be appointed at the entry point of the scale.

This role involves being co-located multiple days per week within Islington’s Family Hubs, and at our Head Office.

We’re looking for a highly skilled individual who will help build on our relationships and networks across Westminster, to deliver ambitious political leadership on a range of issues. The post holder will be responsible for leading advocacy interventions and providing political support to our policy experts, with a focus on Transport and Resources policy.

As a senior political adviser within the politics team, you will also be involved with, and lead on, major projects or themes of work across the political leadership theme (including the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Environment (APPG), which Green Alliance holds the secretariat for), managing and developing key external relationships and supporting the Director of politics as they lead the politics team.

You will need to be an exceptional communicator, adept at bringing people together around a shared vision and have the interpersonal skills to inspire and work across Green Alliance and liaise with our extensive network of partners.

This is not a traditional domestic abuse role, you will support people of all genders affected by gender-based abuse and help shape a service built around prevention, creativity, and community voice. The ethos of the service is to ensure that we are front facing and out in the community to meet clients in spaces that are safe and accessible, as well as our offices.

The Role

You will work directly with people in community settings, carrying out risk and needs assessments, creating safety plans, and using trauma-informed and coaching approaches. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team working in new and flexible ways.

Prospectus is thrilled to be partnering with our client n their search for a Policy Adviser to join their Education and Skills Policy team, supporting high-profile programmes focused on educational reform, mathematical and data education, education research and skills development. Working closely with the Senior Policy Adviser, you will lead and coordinate policy projects from concept through to delivery. The role

You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation at IAA Level 2/3 or Solicitor standard. Your diverse casework will range from assisting sponsored workers on high-risk visas, to managing complex human rights cases and supporting victims of modern slavery and trafficking. Crucially, your work will not happen in isolation. You will work closely with our employment advice team on overlapping cases, collaborate with policy and comms colleagues to evidence systemic issues, and help deliver public legal information and training.

About you

We seek an enthusiastic professional with at least 3 years of experience delivering high-quality immigration advice, who demonstrates a deep empathy for the experiences of vulnerable migrants.

You will also have:

• Level 2 or 3 IAA accreditation OR status as a qualified Solicitor eligible to practice in England and Wales.

• A 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in law or a related subject.

• At least 3 years’ experience providing immigration legal advice in compliance with IAA/SRA standards.

• Excellent legal research, analytical, and case management skills, with the ability to manage complex caseloads and tight deadlines.

• Outstanding client management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to lay persons clearly and compassionately.

• A collaborative, team-first mindset and a commitment to the mission and values of the Work Rights Centre.

• Desirable: Knowledge of Modern Slavery and the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), familiarity with social welfare law, or proficiency in a language other than English.

The Vacancy

The Strategic and Commercial Partnerships Senior Adviser will support one of Start Network’s most exciting new areas of work. This role will be part of a new team, created in 2025, to scope, engage and manage relationships with strategic partners across the humanitarian ecosystem and beyond that will bring non-monetary added value in pursuit of our mission and vision for a locally led and proactive humanitarian system. Our ambition is to leverage partnerships to maximise the impact of our work, enhance our ability to influence system change, improve operational effectiveness and engage in the exchange of knowledge around our innovation ambition. The team will focus on strategic partnerships in areas such as – but not limited to- system change, innovation, disaster risk finance, humanitarian insurance, digital transformation, AI, and capacity strengthening. The team will also explore the value offer and commercialisation potential behind specific initiatives and services.

Based in the Business Development directorate, the Adviser will work closely with the Strategic and Commercial Partnerships Senior Manager to further strengthen the new function. The role will support on the external facing partnership development and management, whilst also playing a central role in ensuring the value-add catalyses inward impact at Start Network. As such, the role will engage with colleagues across the organisation and gain full insight into the full breadth of Start Network’s portfolio of programmes and initiatives. The role will also contribute to researching and analysing commercialisation potential and options for Senior Leadership consideration.

The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and leverage their ability to creatively identify opportunities to maximise impact. They will be motivated by the opportunity to be proactive and take initiative. It will be key for the candidate to build strong relationships internally and externally, with excellent communication skills and an ability to convey complex ideas simply. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Manage and Maximise Partnership Impact

• Build and manage a portfolio of strategic partners, including external engagement and  internal coordination with relevant teams
• Develop plans to maximise the impact of current partnerships, in line with our strategic priorities and mission, in collaboration with relevant teams
• Develop partnership governance agreements(e.g. contracts, Statement of Collaboration, and Memorandums of Understanding)
• Develop joint proposals to advance partnership potential, and manage subsequent budget and reporting obligations
• Manage delivery and project management of strategic partnership initiatives
• Act as key focal point to lead on communications related to partnerships, liaising with the Communications Team as necessary (e.g. develop case studies, briefs and external-facing material)
• Monitor partnership performance and strategic value-add

Prospecting & Partnership Development

• Research and identify prospective partners and engagement opportunities - particularly in the global south - that will add non-financial value to our mission and will help us accelerate our impact and system change ambitions
• Liaise with teams to identify gaps and opportunities for leveraging strategic partners in priority areas  
• Secure opportunities for engagement with prospective partners by developing and pitching ideas for collaboration. Prepare supporting material as needed and coordinate with relevant internal teams (presentations, pitches, briefings, engagement plans, etc)
• Build relationships and collaboration with academia, think tanks and other organisations that can strengthen our work and influence
• Manage the partnership assessment process for prospective partners by assessing strategic alignment, coordinating appropriate risk assessments/assurance reviews, and facilitate discussions with colleagues from relevant teams to guide decision-making
• Identify key events, forums and engagement opportunities for the team, and coordinate participation with managers, heads and directors based on strategic priorities and partnership needs
• Support the Senior Manager to manage, develop and formalise new partnerships

Research & Analysis of Commercialisation Potential

• Support data collection and analysis of key areas in which there may be potential for commercialisation, liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Support the Senior Manager to undertake a competitor and stakeholder analysis, and feasibility assessment in shortlisted areas
• Contribute to the articulation of value offers and a menu of options for Senior Leadership consideration
• Support the Senior Manager in developing the commercial partnerships strategy and implementation plan
• Scope prospective partnerships in line with commercialisation ambitions

Elevate Function Service Offer 

• Act as primary focal point for socialising and advising on partnership processes across the organisation (engage team focal points, organise trainings/inductions, etc.)
• Support the continuous strengthening of the strategic partnership service offer and partnership development processes to guide internal ways of working, aligned with the Start Network mission and culture
• Maintain knowledge management systems to enhance visibility, coordination andinstitutionalisation of partnerships (e.g. ASANA Partnership Tracker and dedicated strategic partnership pages)
• Develop tools, templates and frameworks to support teams engaging with strategic partnerships
• Support the preparation of value offers for capacity strengthening internally, including but not limited to how strategic partnerships can be mobilised to support the Hubs
• Identify opportunities to collaborate across teams to amplify the effectiveness and visibility of our partnerships. For example:
  • Liaise with the assurance team to standardise partnership agreements and templates
  • Work with the communications team to develop innovative communication strategies and outputs to attract prospective partners, expanding outreach
  • Liaise with the MEAL team to do co-develop case studies to evidence impact
  • Coordinate with advocacy colleagues around sector-wide events and publications, identifying opportunities for strategic partnership engagement and outreach

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field
• Experience in the humanitarian or development sector
