About the Role
As HR Officer you will support the HR Manager in a busy HR function. You will play a vital part in ensuring a high-quality HR service and smooth running of the organisation, including overseeing the recruitment process and organising staff training. By focusing on the operational and administrative aspects of HR, you will help our creative, diverse community to thrive and to make a difference in the life of people living with brain injury.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact on all HR queries from the staff team, pass on complex HR issues to the HR Manager and manage the HR and recruitment email inbox.
- Work with the HR Manager to update or create HR policies and procedures following best practice and keeping up to date with current legislation.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring all elements are completed efficiently and effectively. Headway’s recruitment procedure includes: placing adverts, receiving applications, arranging interviews, taking up references, maintaining the diversity monitoring information, processing DBS, liaising with managers to organise inductions, and ensuring the smooth transition of new starters.
- Laise with Line Managers to ensure smooth transitions for leavers, confirming last date, working out outstanding leave entitlement and arranging exit interviews.
- Work with the HR Manager on employee relation issues including disciplinary, capability, grievances, and absence management.
- Be responsible for the administration of Headway HRIS software and collate HR reports from this as and when needed by the Senior Management Team and the Board of Trustees.
- Work with the HR Manager to maintain and improve the staff training and development and ensure staff complete all mandatory and necessary trainings.
- Maintain accurate HR records and information such as job descriptions, staff absences, changes to contracts, work patterns ensuring confidentiality and compliance with GDPR regulations.
- In the absence of the HR Manager work with the Finance Team to provide up to date payroll information to our payroll provider.
- Manage the administration of the pension, salary sacrifice, and staff benefit schemes.
- In conjunction with the Volunteer Co-ordinator provide administrative support in the recruitment process for volunteers, including taking up references, processing DBS and issuing agreements.

About this role
The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and business development Team at RedR. Their role is to work across all income streams within business development and fundraising, with a focus on running the business development and fundraising team’s day to day work, supporting the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in meeting BD and fundraising targets, draft high quality bids – particularly to institutional funders-, and nurturing relationships individual and corporate donors, as well as trusts and foundations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team, Project and Line Management

Manage the day-to-day operations of the business development and fundraising team, including line management of the BD/Fundraising Officer.

The successful candidate leads the Evidence and Learning Team and works closely with all teams to ensure Girls Not Brides is a go-to and trusted source for evidence and shared learning on what works to address CEFMU and support married girls, globally and in priority regions where we work. The role holder ensures the Girls Not Brides secretariat is a highly effective learning and knowledge hub on CEFMU, co-creating and sharing collective insights and evidence to strengthen our programme, advocacy and policy work driving impact across the movement.
Working closely with Teams in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), they provide strategic leadership to increase uptake of research, evidence and collective knowledge by member organisations to enable more effective evidence-based action to end child marriage at all levels. Moreover, the role ensures we continue to play a leading role in coordinating global, regional and national evidence generation through convening diverse stakeholders, identifying evidence gaps and catalyzing collective efforts to strengthen the evidence base on what works to end child marriage.
In close collaboration with the Director of Learning, Evidence and Impact, the Head of Research, Evidence and Learning plays a leadership role in ensuring the timely and quality implementation and delivery of two key areas of the Strategic Objective on Learning of Girls Not Brides’ Secretariat Strategy 2022-2025. What the job involves
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team focused on driving change and providing education to health professionals across UK health services to end variation in access to support and treatment for men with prostate cancer.
You’ll be responsible for the leadership, governance and operational management of four teams; Education, Improvement Programmes, Black Health Equity Engagement and Policy and Health Influencing; and their work programmes – ensuring collaboration and innovation across teams and functional boundaries to deliver Prostate Cancer UK’s business plan and strategy.

The YHP is a complex multi-country multi-million public health programme and is currently implemented in 8 countries, supporting the health rights and wellbeing of young people (10-24) in marginalised communities with a specific focus on the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). This gender-transformative programme uses a range of strategies including youth empowerment through peer education, community mobilisation, health system strengthening and youth-led advocacy. This role is a great opportunity for individuals with proven programme management experience, particularly in public health initiatives. As a Senior Programme Management Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of two programme specialists and a programme coordinator to provide specialist support to Country Offices and partners on programme management.
