The Information and Content Officer will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and promotion of a comprehensive range of high-quality information resources for sarcoma patients, their families/carers, healthcare professionals, and the general public. This includes creating new content as well as reviewing and updating existing materials across various formats such as print publications, digital platforms, videos, and social media.
The role involves close collaboration with healthcare professionals, patient reviewers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure both accurate and accessible content.

Duties and key responsibilities:
Content development:
- Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
- Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
- Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process
- Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark
- Ensure all new content meets clinical standards, brand guidelines, plain English principles, and accessibility requirements.
Content updates & maintenance:
- Continuously review and update existing print and digital information resources to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a structured review schedule to keep materials current as per the PIF quality mark.
- Manage a comprehensive database to track all information resources and versions.
Content promotion & distribution:
- Work with colleagues to create promotional content for Sarcoma UK's information resources across multiple channels.
- Utilise social media platforms to extend reach and engagement with target audiences.
- Collaborate with internal communications and digital teams on content publishing and marketing.
Administration & reporting:
- Collect metrics and provide regular reports on content performance, user engagement and feedback.
- Assist in developing evaluation methods to assess impact of information resources.
General:
- To support new work within the information team.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals, people affected by sarcoma, and staff members.
- To attend Sarcoma UK events and take part in Sarcoma UK’s wider work.
- To travel occasionally to meetings and events. Occasional weekend or evening work may also be required and time off in lieu will be given.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.
Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.
They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.
Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.

EHAAT is a charity which provides vital life-saving care to critically ill and injured patients across Essex, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.
You will provide support to our Cost-of-Living Crisis Clinic Consultant to co-ordinate the efficient service delivery of our busy Cost-of-Living Crisis Clinics, used by clients who need assistance to make successful applications for: welfare benefits; social housing; lower utility and broadband tariffs; and crisis and general grants. You will work with a wide range of people internally and externally, providing support and supervision to volunteer advisers and helping clients.
You will be a confident communicator who will have the right blend and balance of strong administration skills with excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills and legal knowledge, working for a charity supporting and enhancing the lives of people in the local community.
This role is central to Westway Trust’s commitment to deliver activities and events to the benefit of the North Kensington community. You will also work from and help to co-ordinate the delivery of our Cost-of-Living Crisis Clinic at our outreach site, St Luke’s Community Centre, EC1V.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
General Duties
- Being the initial point of contact; receiving calls and emails from clients and referring agencies, , and booking client appointments in an efficient and timely manner
- Setting up and clearing away after Cost-of-Living Crisis Clinic sessions, (currently, Tuesdays, at St Luke’s Community Centre, 90 Central Street, Islington, EC1, and Wednesdays at Westway Trust, 1 Thorpe Close, Ladbroke Grove, W10). Sessions start at 9.00am and finish around 1.00pm
- Meeting, greeting and orienting (showing where the facilities are and H&S guidance) clients and volunteers
- Triaging clients on to our database and referring clients who are out of scope to other relevant organisations
- Assisting clients to complete online and paper forms both face-to-face and remotely
- Liaising in a positive manner with our stakeholders, eg. clients, other teams within Westway Trust, our funder, a City Law firm, and our hosts, Westway Trust and St Luke’s Community Centre
- Responsibility for monitoring our work, completing simple reports, writing case studies, making sure volunteers complete their data entry after advising clients, and running case management statistics using AdvicePro, our case management system) (training on AdvicePro will be provided)
- Recruiting, inducting, training and supervising volunteers both corporate (from the City) and lay (students and local residents)
- Casework; writing up case notes about clients helped
- Attending relevant meetings and training and keeping resources up-to-date

Appeals & Representation Duties
Responsibility for our legal appeals representation service, including:
- Triaging clients, including reading appellant’s hearing bundles to assess the merits of their case
- Case management of appellants’' appeal cases, (ie, smooth management of appellants' cases from inception to post-hearing)
- Attending hearings
- Guiding and case managing lawyers/law students on applications for leave to appeal/set aside to the Upper Tribunal/Judiciary, (from the Lower Tribunal). Full training will be given
Qualifications: You will have or be working towards a law degree or equivalent.

- A good understanding of the law in any jurisdiction

Job Title: Head of Employer Partnerships
Reports to: Deputy CEO (but the role will also work in close collaboration with both the CEO and the Director of Programmes).

Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic professional to take the lead role in engaging employers, corporate funders, and professional networks and securing funded partnerships with them. This will provide essential income for the charity’s work with schools. Identifying and securing new employer partnerships:
- Lead on identifying different opportunities to generate income growth for our charity, including ‘charity of the year’ partnerships and developing and promoting a range of attractive strategic opportunities for corporates/ employers looking to sponsor and fund our charity;
- Researching and developing a prospect pipeline, including spending time generating new leads and meeting clients, to support the development of new corporate partners and ensure that CRM information is continuously updated;

Prepare and deliver compelling and evidence-based pitches and presentations including developing assets and proposals, reporting, credentials, and pitch decks to support income generation from employer partnerships;
- Generate awareness and visibility of the Education and Employers’ partnership proposition – e.g. delivering a regular series of virtual and face to face sessions to engage with new organisations and sell the benefits of Education and Employers corporate funded partnerships;

About the post of CEO
You will report directly to the Board of Trustees, ensuring excellent governance of the Charity, regulatory compliance with the Charity Commission and Companies House, and will collaborate with Trustees on designing and executing the 2024-2027 strategy. You will lead and support a team of seven staff, supporting 500+ older and disabled Neighbours annually with a large team of volunteers. You will ensure excellent management of charity’s finances and that adequate funding is in place to maintain all charitable activity, monitoring and evaluation. You will ensure that the charity maintains its reputation and develops its exposure and standing.
About you
You will have strategic leadership experience and have previously led teams. You will have a strong understanding of charity governance and will have demonstrable fundraising knowledge and/or experience. You will be passionate about supporting older and disabled people and will have a strong understanding of their needs. You will be equipped to represent the Charity both internally and externally.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategy and Operations
1. Develop, implement, and lead execution of the charity's annual operational plan and 3-year strategic plan.
2. Identify appropriate level of staffing, volunteering, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are appropriately interviewed, vetted, inducted, trained, developed, and supported to deliver against their objectives.
3. Ensure appropriate upkeep, security, and management of the charity’s premises, including all relevant contracts and payments.
4. Ensure that the charity’s IT systems are fit for purpose and compliant with relevant law.
People
5. Line management of seven staff members, and responsibility for staff and team development, cohesion and appraisals.
6. Recruit and support social club facilitators and appropriate consultants to provide additional resource to the charity as required.
7. Lead staff member for safeguarding, liaising directly with Hammersmith and Fulham Adult Social Care.
8. Ensure appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are in place to support up to 100 regular volunteers, and up to 100 additional corporate/student volunteers.
9. Ensure appropriate mechanisms and safeguards are in place to support up to 500 beneficiaries and additional attendees at FGN events.
Finance and Fundraising
10. Develop, implement, and lead charity’s financial and fundraising planning and management, ensuring that the charity operates at least at break-even, ideally with a small surplus.
11. Ensure that the charity has a diverse range of income across various streams, inclusive of (but not limited to) public sector, trusts and foundations, corporate income, events, and online giving.
12. Ensure that the charity is receiving value for money with all expenditure, ensuring contract review on a timely basis as appropriate.
13. Ensure appropriate cashflow projections so that expenditure does not exceed income in any one year unless pre-agreed with trustees.
14. Ensure that appropriate financial controls are in place so to protect charity and anyone handling money on behalf of the charity.
15. In conjunction with the finance administrator and hon. treasurer monitor all income, expenditure, accounts, funding investments and budgets.
Governance
16 Ensure compliance with charity and company law, inclusive of writing, presentation and filing of annual report and accounts and other Company Secretary duties.
17 Organise, attend, record and report at board meetings every two months, inclusive of finance and operations reporting and the regular cycle of governance reviews.
18 Plan, organise and attend AGM and annual strategy session.
19 Ensure appropriate level of risk management and insurance are in place for the charity.
20 Ensure all relevant policies, procedures and financial controls are in place, inclusive of annual review.
Communications and Impact
21. Represent and promote the charity in public, sourcing media opportunities as appropriate so to increase visibility.
22. Represent the charity on appropriate networks and forums so to develop stakeholder relationships and source opportunities for cross-partner collaboration.
23. Ensure positive, fit-for-purpose, internal and external communications, inclusive of monthly newsletters, social media presence and other marketing materials.
24. Ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of projects and develop relationships with academic institutions and/or research consultancies where possible so to elicit external perspectives and scrutiny of the charity’s work.
25. Build relationships with local stakeholders and businesses.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential requirements

Salary will be c. £54,000 and is set in line with NJC pay scales 2024/25.
Working hours are 35 hours over 5 days per week. The postholder will be based primarily on site but with the possibility of up to one day per week remote working by agreement.

Purpose of the Role
The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.
Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.
In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.
Digital Marketing
- Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
- Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.
- Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.
- Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms
- Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
- Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
- Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.
Design & Brand
- Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.
- Ensure all digital information is accurate, up to date and relevant.

Recruitment
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
- Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
- Managing an associated programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
- Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
- To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
- Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.
Social Media
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy

We are looking for a Special Events Officer to join our close-knit special events team, who plan and deliver a portfolio of exciting and unique fundraising and cultivation events.
Under the direction of the Senior Special Events Manger, you’ll lead on three areas that are essential to the smooth-running and success of the special events team: providing essential administrative support; taking charge of managing relationships with our gifts-in-kind supporters; and leading the planning of our supporter cultivation events.
