We’re looking for an experienced Trusts & Major Gifts Manager to lead and grow a key area of fundraising at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our trusts and foundations and major gifts programme, build strong relationships with funders and supporters, and secure significant income to enhance the lives of our patients and their families.

Key responsiblities

• Lead income generation, driving the team to achieve an annual target of £1.25m+ and developing a strong, sustainable pipeline of trusts, foundations, statutory and lottery funding.

• Manage and develop the team, setting targets and KPIs, allocating opportunities effectively, and providing coaching, support and constructive feedback.

• Build and nurture funder relationships, identifying new prospects, developing tailored stewardship plans, and representing the RHN through meetings, visits and presentations.

• Develop compelling funding applications, working across the organisation to demonstrate impact, understand funding needs and secure multi-year and transformational grants.

• Stay ahead of the funding landscape, monitoring trends and emerging opportunities and advising on potential new sources of income.

• Oversee effective fundraising management, including budgets, reporting, CRM records, application deadlines and performance against targets.

Guts UK are looking for a new Fundraising Assistant to join the team. The fundraising assistant is the first point of contact for many of our supporters and donors. They record all of our donations in our fundraising database; they make sure all of our donor data is up to date; and they are often part of the early stewardship journey for our supporters.

The role holder is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all donor information in our fundraising database including consent and marketing preferences. They are also responsible for capturing all fundraising donations in that database with the appropriate coding to help us understand where the donation came from. The role works closely with the finance team to make sure physical donations are treated properly but also to make sure the fundraising systems and finance systems always match.

The role holder will be the first point of contact for many of our supporters and the role is critical in ensuring those supporters have a smooth, professional and friendly experience. This role holder will make sure all donors get the recognition and thanks they deserve by delivering exemplary stewardship.

Community Fundraising Manager

Salary: Outer London Business Support Scale, Grade 5\6 (Spine Points 21.1 – 28), £32,064 - £36,579 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.

The role

Individual giving at Cruse is in its infancy; therefore, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced, proactive and creative individual giving expert to join, develop and build the role. We are looking to build all areas of individual giving including committed gifts, cash appeals, legacy and in memoriam gifts, and increase our supporter acquisition and retention. As our Regional Fundraising Manager (London), you will take a creative and dynamic approach to income generation, hosting events and challenges in the community, utilising and building their networks, building corporate partnerships, benefitting from CSR schemes, developing long term relationships with high-net-worth individuals and major donors, and forging new business opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

1. Diversifying income streams and building new partnerships in your region: 

• Drive for full maximisation of income generation opportunities across direct response, corporate partnerships, events, grant making, major gift and legacy promotion activities within the London region. 
• Personally build and manage a “top prospect” list of high-net-worth individuals, organisations, stakeholders, businesses, networks, corporate partners and grant making sources to lead from the front and have a measurable personal impact on fundraising goals in the London region. 
• Devise and implement a plan to help the charity maximise on a range of funding streams, exploring new and innovative opportunities in the London region. 
• Identify and support local causes in the London region. 
• Work towards achieving income targets and KPIs. 

2. Supporting and maintaining current fundraising activities in the London region & supporting the wider team: 

• Develop a volunteer base to deliver the fundraising activities within the London region. 
• Provide reports for the London region’s fundraising activity, including reports for donors, income reports, and working closely with Programmes on developing feedback, programmes update, reports for donors and/or fundraisers. 
• Work with cross functional departments on fundraising income reconciliation. 
• Support the team with planning and evaluation as required. 
• Monitor income against targets and KPIs. 

3. Building the charity’s external fundraising profile, and positioning the charity effectively as an impactful, trustworthy and efficient charity of choice for donors: 

• Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and team to effectively communicate the charity’s vision to internal and external audiences, for fundraising purposes. 
• Work closely with Marketing to capitalise and build on our new AFH brand with specific focus on income generation from the London region.
• Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to look at how income generation within your region and surrounding areas can be considered in marketing plans and input into campaigns to ensure they align with the agreed income generation targets. 
• Contribute towards building a strong external fundraising profile for the charity, and work with fellow team members, stakeholders, and community organisations. 

4. Compliance 

• Ensure fundraising policies and procedures are followed
• Ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Conduct
• Act as the risk manager for fundraising for your region

What we are looking for in our Regional Fundraising Manager (London):

Education

• Educated to degree level, desirable but not essential

Working closely with the Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, we’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our small team at a critical growth point. We’re looking for someone to build and deliver on our Corporate Partnerships Strategy and lay the groundwork for long term, sustainable corporate income generation as part of our wider Fundraising Strategy.

This is a new role for someone with substantial experience working in corporate partnerships. We’re looking for someone with strong account management and new business skills who can take our fledgling portfolio of corporate supporters and transform it into formal, long-term partnerships generating at least c.£400K by the end of the first 3 years.

You will have a demonstrable track record of securing and account managing five-six figure partnerships. You will have the ability to create propositions in collaboration with programmatic colleagues, and the confidence to pitch a compelling case for support to a range of senior corporate audiences. You will also have excellent communication skills both (written and verbal) and a keen eye for connecting a company’s objectives to the right opportunity at MRF. You will also have the commercial awareness to build partnerships that create genuine, shared value.

Purpose of the Fundraising Department

The International Fundraising Department within Greenpeace International (GPI) ensures a clear focus on global income opportunities and challenges in partnership with National and Regional Offices (NROs). The department manages global fundraising sources, contributes to and coordinates global fundraising work, provides strategic focus for GPI fundraising specialists, and provides senior strategic guidance and leadership across the Greenpeace Network. 

Purpose of role

The International Philanthropy Manager is accountable for designing and implementing the Global Fundraising Strategy as it relates to major giving, including strategic partnerships, institutional funders, individual major donors, legacies, and capital campaigns. This role leads the teams behind major global initiatives, including a €100 million capital campaign for a new ship and the Priority Global Funders strategy—while providing strategic leadership, support, and advice to both Greenpeace International and independent National and Regional Organisations (NROs).

Primary responsibilities

Global fundraising strategy

● Lead and manage the design and implementation of the Global Fundraising Strategy as it relates to major giving, including strategic partnerships with institutional funders and individual major donors, legacy, and capital campaigns.

● Accountable for the design and implementation of the Key Relationships area of the Global Fundraising Strategy, including tracking and monitoring the success of its implementation.

● Lead, advise, and support the work done by GPI fundraising staff and NRO leaders in the key relationships area.

● Collaborate across GPI functions and departments to ensure alignment and integration of the Key Relationships Strategy with other organisational objectives, strategies, and plans.

People management

● Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of fundraising managers and coordinators across various areas of high value fundraising.

● Drive team performance through objective setting, performance reviews, coaching and development to ensure fundraising objectives are met.

National and Regional Organisation (NROs) support

● Oversee strategic and operational support provided to NROs to build the fundraising capacity and expertise required to deliver ambitious fundraising strategies and goals based on the respective market potential.

● Provide strategic advice and support to NROs for the development of the philanthropy and legacy elements of their 3-Year Strategic Plans and their annual organisational development plans.

● Support NROs in recruiting and onboarding experienced fundraising directors and strategic fundraising roles.

Communities and stakeholders

● Strengthen the fundraising director’s community of practice alongside fellow Strategic Fundraising Managers and the International Fundraising Director to foster a collaborative space for addressing global fundraising challenges and opportunities.

● Facilitate regular exchanges with other key leadership communities (such as Engagement and Programme Leaders) in areas of joint interest. 

● Build strong working relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to represent Greenpeace’s interests and enable effective cooperation and knowledge-sharing across fundraising areas.

● Foster collaboration with cross-functional departments (such as Development, Technology, Finance and Programme) to co-design and implement highly engaging campaigns with strong fundraising potential and deliver robust proposals for key funders.

Financial, policy, and systems management

● Ensure the effective budgeting, management, and expenditure of internal resources.

● Oversee the budgeting and reconciliation of income from Priority Global Funders, individual major donors, and legacy gifts to GPI. 

● Serve as the product owner for the key relationships CRM.

● Hold responsibility for the development and implementation of global policies related to key relationships fundraising.

● Significant (7 years +) experience in a senior fundraising management role with a focus on philanthropy, of which at least four years leading international teams.
