Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Salary: £45,068 to £51,242 (Negotiable)

We are seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer with a proven commitment to survivor-led practice, outstanding organisational leadership capability, and relevant therapeutic competence, to provide strategic and inspirational leadership for the organisation’s future.

Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS) exists to provide compassionate, person-centred, trauma-informed crisis support to people across Leeds and West Yorkshire.  Founded in 1999 by individuals with lived experience of mental health crisis, the organisation has grown to deliver a range of services for adults, children and young people while remaining rooted in survivor leadership and empowerment. LSLCS has a long history of innovation and excellence; receiving multiple national awards.

The CEO holds overarching responsibility for the current service provisions, with the support of operational directors and service managers.  LSLCS challenges and shapes current practices; aligned with the needs of those accessing crisis services, with a strong emphasis on gaining and reviewing service user and team feedback to inform decision-making.  The CEO must be able to review feedback openly, regularly and with genuine curiosity in shaping the future of the organisation.

The CEO provides strategic leadership to ensure that LSLCS continues to deliver high-quality, values-led crisis services.  Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CEO ensures the organisation operates in alignment with its survivor-led ethos, trauma-informed principles, and person-centred philosophy.  The post-holder champions the mission of LSLCS, strengthens its culture, and maintains the organisation’s reputation as a trusted and innovative provider of crisis support.

The CEO must ensure that the organisation’s governance is compliant with Charity Commission requirements, contractual obligations and all other relevant legislation and guidance, and works closely with the Operations Director (Central Services) to ensure the organisation’s financial sustainability and the appropriate, responsible use of its resources.

The Beit Trust works for the benefit of the people of Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi. It funds sustainable projects in health, education, social welfare and the natural environment, building infrastructure and catalysing human self-improvement. The Trust does not fundraise and relies solely on the endowment of its founder, Alfred Beit.

The Secretary works closely with the Chairman and Board of Trustees in developing the Trust’s strategic plan, and will ensure it operates to the highest standards of governance, transparency and impact, while developing strong relationships with partners, beneficiaries and regulators.

Experience in at least one of the beneficial countries and/or Africa more widely is important.

Leading CamRARE

As Chief Executive, you will provide strategic leadership for the charity, oversee governance and operations, develop and execute the strategy set by the Board of Trustees, and build key external partnerships. Responsible To: Head of Supporter Fundraising
Location: Hybrid between Butterfly Conservation’s Head Office and home
Salary: £28,148 - £31,500 depending on experience plus 8% company pension contribution

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for the servicing and stewardship of Butterfly Conservation members to ensure we deliver the best possible member experience.
• Responsible for the processing and administration of donations and membership applications/renewals using our CRM database (Microsoft Dynamics 365) ensuring a high level of customer care and excellent retention of all our supporters to maximise potential income.
• Working with colleagues to ensure our members feel valued.

Specific Tasks:

• Act as a reliable first point of contact for Members, handling queries received by email, post and over the telephone efficiently and politely.
• Responsible for maintaining accurate member data within the database (Microsoft Dynamics 365) including accurate servicing and storage of all membership renewals, new joiners, lapsing/ reengagement and donation processing.
• Ensure all data is held and processed in accordance with BC’s Data Protection Policy and individual communication preferences.
• Responsible for ensuring the timely and smooth running of the membership welcome and renewal communications (email and post), liaising with contractors and keeping all letters and emails up to date and relevant.
• Responsible for the process to contact members who’s payments have end (sometimes referred to as lapsed) aiming to reengage and minimise attrition.
• Work with colleague to continue to develop the membership offering across all membership categories – student/young person, family, single, joint, benefactor and life memberships.
• Work closely with the Database Support Officer to ensure all database processes work effectively and accuracy of the data is always maintained. Investigate queries and raise issues where necessary, assuring a satisfactory outcome. Create and maintain guides on database process as appropriate.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of regular reports on membership numbers to BC’s 32 Branches.
• Liaise with Branches on newsletter distribution – hard copy and email - including proofing content, obtaining print quotes and requesting data extracts to supply directly to our printer / mailing house.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with relevant branch volunteers, including providing timely responses to queries and requests for additional information. Ensure Branches are kept up to date with all membership recruitment campaigns and changes to subscription rates etc via the quarterly Branch e-newsletter
• Contribute to the creation and distribution of branch emails including welcome and newsletter communications from branches to members.
• Maintain accurate records of total membership numbers (individual and household) through the database. Collate a monthly membership update for the Chief Executive and Director of Fundraising and Comms detailing new and leaving members and working with the Head of Supporter Fundraising to include an explanation of trends and anomalies.
• Assist with the accurate recording of income into the database, following BC processes in areas including cheque and cash handling.
• Work with the Finance Team on monthly reconciliation of income recorded on the CRM with finance software information (ensuring correct allocation of income etc).
• Assist with the preparation of the annual membership audit reconciliation to explain any discrepancies and payment exceptions for all membership categories and income
• Ensure sufficient stock requirements of all membership leaflets, welcome pack contents, membership incentives and any other literature required within allocated budget
• Distribution of membership application forms, promotional codes and resources to staff, Branches and the public as required.

 
General

• Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators and prepare information for the Head of Supporter Fundraising.
• Attend meetings and events as required.
• Promote BC’s values (Excellence, Passionate, Inspiring, Collaborative) ensuring they are adopted in all aspects of the role.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of BC’s overall Fundraising Strategy.
• Collaborate effectively with key teams across BC.

About the Role

This is a key interim leadership role focused on stability, continuity and care for Sahir during a period of transition.

The Interim Chief Executive will work closely with the Board, staff and partners to ensure Sahir continues to deliver safe, effective and person-centred services, maintains strong relationships and remains financially and operationally secure.

The role is not about changing direction. It is about protecting what has been built, supporting the team and helping Sahir move confidently towards the appointment of its next permanent CEO.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a senior leader who brings:

· Significant leadership experience in the voluntary, community, health, social care or equalities sector.

· Experience working with a Board of Trustees and supporting good governance.

· Strong financial oversight and organisational management experience.

· A calm, steady and values led leadership style.

· The ability to lead people well through transition and uncertainty.

· Strong relationship building skills and a partnership approach.

· Knowledge of issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities, people living with HIV and people seeking asylum is highly desirable.

We are looking for a passionate and creative Head of Brand, Communications & Marketing to lead the next stage of our journey.

This is an exciting, strategic and hands‑on leadership role for someone who can confidently amplify our brand in the public sphere, drive meaningful engagement, and increase both supporter and beneficiary acquisition.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation & Marketing and leading a small, high‑performing team, you will:

Brand, Communications & PR

• Lead and evolve Life’s brand strategy, ensuring clarity and consistency across all channels.
• Raise Life’s visibility with powerful campaigns that engage beneficiaries, supporters, volunteers and the public.
• Oversee media relations, PR activity, reputation management and crisis communications.
• Support and strengthen internal communications across the organisation.

Marketing Leadership

• Develop innovative marketing strategies that grow reach, impact and sustainability.
• Drive supporter and beneficiary acquisition through targeted, insight‑led campaigns.
• Use data, analytics and performance metrics to continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
• Provide inspiring leadership and development to the Marketing & Comms Team.

Digital Strategy

• Lead Life’s digital marketing approach, including SEO, paid social, PPC, email, content and inbound marketing.
• Create effective user journeys and optimise conversion rates through testing and analytics.
• Oversee engaging social media content and paid advertising campaigns.
• Ensure high‑quality digital design, content, and brand guardianship.

Website & Content

• Support the development of Life’s website, focusing on optimisation, content quality and user experience.
• Oversee high‑quality storytelling that reflects Life’s values and mission.

About You

You’ll be a confident, creative and strategic leader who brings:

• At least 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, communications or brand roles (charity sector experience desirable).
• Proven experience developing and delivering brand, digital and communications strategies.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, analytics and audience insight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets and leading a team.
• A warm, values‑driven approach aligned with Life’s mission of humanity, solidarity, community and compassion.

We have an exciting Vacancy here at Kidz Klub!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed, compassionate individual who is passionate about reaching children at scale through our large Central Klub and Schools Work. The role involves Coordinating a large team of committed Volunteers and Line Managing Staff members and organising our large Central Klub, as well as assemblies in Schools. In all these areas you will be cheering your team and the children on, injecting a lot of fun along the way. 

Our vision is to work together with congregations and partners to see lasting transformation, through the love of God, for the most marginalised, unreached children, their families and communities of Leeds. 

37.5 hours per week (we would consider term time only-please state on your application). 

Salary £28,000-£29,000 gross dependent upon experience and qualifications. A Pension is offered in line with the Trusts policy. 

Annual Leave 6 weeks/year plus Bank Holidays to be taken in school holidays.
