About the Role

Senior Young People Support Worker – Wallsend

We’re looking for a proactive Senior Young People Support Worker to lead high‑quality, psychologically informed support at our nine‑bed supported accommodation service in Maritime Court. You’ll combine hands‑on client work with day‑to‑day leadership, ensuring a safe, well‑run environment where people build confidence, resilience and the skills to move on positively.

You’ll manage a small team, hold a focused caseload and lead on strengths‑based support planning, safeguarding and risk management. Working collaboratively with internal teams and partners, you’ll help clients access education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities—making sure the service delivers impact, consistency and opportunity every day.

Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role.

Key Deliverables

• You will ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed as laid out in Depaul’s Policy and Procedures.

• You will support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations, through facilitating the work of Depaul’s Community Programs Team.

• You will hold line management responsibility for Progression Coach, Concierge and any other staff as deemed appropriate by your line manager, including undertaking supervision and appraisals including all other aspects of staff management and participate in an on-call Rota.

• You will carry a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will ensure that there is a whole team approach to the support of all clients in the service ensuring the high quality of risk and needs assessments SMART outcome based support plans and case files for your key clients and those of your line reports.

• You will hold specific responsibilities for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for clients, staff, visitors and volunteers through regular risk assessment, health and safety checks and reporting in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy, and retain oversight of repairs and maintenance reporting to ensure the building is kept in good order and safe for clients to reside in.

• You will liaise with Depaul’s internal departments including Finance, HR, Fundraising and Business Development as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the service, and ensure the accurate collection and recording of rent and the countersigning of invoices to support good financial management in the service.

• You will undertake further duties as commensurate to the role, in line with Depaul Policies and Procedures and as identified by your line manager.

• Lead and oversee Bowel Cancer UK’s paid advertising programme, ensuring activity is strategic, insight‑driven and aligned with organisational goals.

About you

You will love autonomy and will enjoy working collaboratively across the fundraising department and wider organisation. You’ll be a retention specialist with plenty of experience leading digital and traditional direct marketing programmes, and you’ll be able to take a strategic approach to delivery, independently taking on key areas of the retention and upgrade programmes.

You’ll be fully responsible for planning and assessing the fundraising campaigns you lead, and you’ll focus on optimising performance to deliver income and a retained, loyal base of supporters to power our fundraising and campaigns. About you

You'll bring experience in volunteer management, programme coordination or a similar role, ideally in the charity or education sector. You'll be a confident communicator, a natural relationship builder, and someone who cares deeply about equity and social mobility.

Essential experience and skills include:

• Experience managing or coordinating volunteers, ideally in a charity, education or community setting
• Experience coordinating or delivering programmes or projects with multiple stakeholders

Contract: 1-year fixed term, Full-Time 35 hours position
Salary: Circa £45,000 per annum dependent on experience

About the role: 

We’re looking for an Accreditation & Licensing Advisor to support the review and development of iCatCare’s Cat Friendly accreditation and licensing schemes (Cat Friendly Clinic, Cat Friendly Homing, Easy to Give and Cat Friendly Approved) This role plays a key part in ensuring our programmes are strategically aligned, operationally effective, and deliver measurable impact for cat welfare. 

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to strengthen standards, improve processes, and help ensure our schemes are sustainable, robust, and internationally relevant. 

Key responsibilities 

• Contribute to the review and development of accreditation and licensing schemes, from application through to assessment and renewal 

• Monitor emerging global standards, legislation, and research relevant to animal welfare accreditation 

• Conduct competitor and sector analysis to inform scheme development 

• Support the creation of clear policies, procedures, guidance, and implementation plans 

• Work with data and digital teams to improve systems, reporting, and efficiency 

• Coordinate timelines, manage budgets, and identify risks and opportunities 

• Support stakeholder engagement, including scheme participants, sponsors, and partners 

• Gather, analyse, and report on data for accreditation submissions, performance monitoring, and impact measurement 

• Support financial modelling, reporting dashboards, and impact reports 

• Contribute to funding and sponsorship development alongside fundraising colleagues 

About You: 

You’ll bring experience in accreditation, licensing, quality management, compliance, or a related field, with a strong appreciation of the challenges involved in operating international accreditation and/or licensing programmes. You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and confident working independently as well as collaboratively. 

You’ll communicate clearly and thoughtfully, build positive working relationships, and feel confident using data and digital tools to support decision making and reporting. Above all, you’ll be motivated by purpose and shared values, with a genuine commitment to improving cat welfare.

Role: To engage Chatham’s diverse communities in the heritage of St John’s Chatham. This role will be
responsible for working with local community groups to develop and deliver activities and programmes
to involve young people aged 14 – 24 years old, low income families, older adults over 55 years old,
homeless and vulnerably housed people and local schools as part of the major community programme
at St John’s Chatham.

Principal accountabilities
● Through engagement with local community groups create a programme that results in St John’s becoming a multipurpose space for the local community.
● Develop, manage and deliver community engagement projects to interpret the history of St John’s, based on research gathered by the Research & Development Consultant.
● Work with the Volunteer & Training Co-ordinator to explore the potential for a community based café that is used as a centre for the local community to meet and learn new skills and make new friends
● Work with local community organisations to create programmes that support the development of skills, such as budgeting, cooking, gardening, English as a second language etc
● Create and maintain an arts and crafts area within the café of St John’s that inspires people to respond to the heritage around them
● In collaboration with the Research Development Consultant identify potential speakers and deliver a programme of talks about the heritage of St John’s, Waterloo churches and Chatham.
● Develop a programme of events to test if there is a market for evening events at St John’s, including but not exclusively, concerts, silent discos, film showing
● Develop and deliver, in collaboration with local community partners a regular programme of events for different audiences
● Facilitating positive and effective partnerships between community groups, public sector bodies and stakeholders to support the Activity Programme.
● Lead on the external communications for the programme via social media channels and local media where appropriate

Our Operations Director will lead the development of the operational infrastructure required to scale Fruitful Work nationally and internationally. Working in close partnership with the Founder & CEO, this role takes ownership of the systems, processes, team and organisational rhythms that enable the charity to grow rapidly and sustainably. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building from the ground up, turning vision into reliable execution, and creating the foundations that allow a small team to deliver outsized impact.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organisation and lead the recruitment and management of a growing operations team as Fruitful Work expands.

Job Title: Community Coordinator - South Wales

Reporting To: Regional Manager 

Salary Range: £25,000 Per Annum

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Field based across South Wales

Working days/hours per week: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm   

Requirements: We require candidates to have legal use of a vehicle and possess a full UK drivers licence (with no more than 6 points) held for at least 1 year and be over the age of 21 for own insurance purposes.

Purpose of the Job 

To focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme; through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for the charity and store community in your designated area.
