As a Ubele Programme Assistant, you will be a member of the Community Wealth Building hub supporting our Programme Manager with the Agbero2100 London programme by overseeing administrative tasks, communicating with our partners ensuring resource availability for the project team from project inception to completion.
Main duties & Responsibilities
- To act as the first point of contact for the Agbero2100 London programme, responding to and redirecting enquiries as appropriate.
- To co-ordinate the work and meetings of programme stakeholders and partners, including minute taking.
- To ensure effective and ongoing communications with key stakeholders, maintaining their interest throughout the programme.
- To gather partner agreements, consultancy agreements, contracts and purchase orders, working closely with our finance hub to issue invoices and chase outstanding payments.
- Coordinate the programme information with stakeholders.
- To manage programme information ensuring all data is stored and shared securely.
- To organise events and seminars, and to draw together the contributions and outcomes from these events. Providing support where appropriate.
- To contribute to the coordination of events with the support of Comms including maintaining positive relationships with Comms.
- To support the programme manager in efficiently collecting, relevant data to inform decision-making and enhance project outcomes.
- The Programme Assistant will utilize appropriate tools and techniques to collate data from various project stakeholders, teams, and relevant sources. Establish a structured approach to capture both qualitative and quantitative data to assess project progress and performance under the instruction of the Programme Manager or Hub Lead.
- Support the Programme Manager in preparing regular and ad-hoc reports.
- Support the Programme Manager to maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of data collection methods, analysis techniques, and results for project audit and future reference.
- Adhere to relevant industry standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies related to data privacy, confidentiality, and security.Handle sensitive project data with the utmost integrity and take necessary precautions to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.

About you
This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.
You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.
- To know individual learning targets for each pupil in the group(s) and take specific action to enable individual pupil goals be achieved.
- To attend to the general care, maintenance and storage of classroom equipment.
STL 2 – Support Children’s Development
- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.

Fundraising Assistant
Contract: Permanent, part-time (21 hours per week)

Role Purpose
Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. Working Hours
The working hours shall be 21 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks), usually over three days. Some out of hours working will be required to support meetings and events and this will be notified in advance. Time off in lieu will be awarded in line with Southwark Cathedral’s policy.
Annual Leave

Probation

Here at One Million Mentors, our aim is to ensure that every young person in the country has access to a trained mentor as they transition into adulthood. We believe that investing in mentors will help to address the skills gap agenda and improve social cohesion.
This is one of two Regional Manager roles in London; Regional Manager for Programme Delivery, and Regional Manager for Volunteer Mentors.
The Regional Manager for Programme Delivery focuses on mentee demand, and managing the end-to-end coordination of multiple programmes cross London. It’s the perfect role for a candidate whose passions and strengths align closely with engaging youth organisations to establish successful 1MM Mentoring programmes.

The role is largely responsible for delivery of 1MM Mentoring Programmes. This includes partnership development, matching mentors/mentees, and oversight of mentoring relationships. Also to consider safeguarding measures, fundraising, and meeting growth targets. The role will help to establish a pipeline in line with 1MM’s aspirations for 2024 and beyond. This role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
1MM Regional Manager for Programme Delivery’s main tasks include:

Helping 1MM to scale by helping establish over 150 new, high quality mentoring matches each quarter. (A match means that the mentor and the mentee have completed 1MM’s training and have had their first meeting)

Meeting all quality assurance KPIs.

Maximising conversion, retention, and mitigate drop-off

Ongoing support for key stakeholder partners, including Youth Partners, and maintaining strong relationships.

Securing at least one new partner per quarter.

Becoming familiar with the 1MM Platform, using it comfortably for ongoing administration and providing support to users.

Providing regular reports on progress related to the role.

Potential for line-management responsibilities as the team grows.

Terms and Conditions: This is a full time role offered in London, for 6 months (continuing subject to funding). This is a hybrid role with two days working at home, two days in the London office, and one day where it is up to you.
Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £29,000 per annum plus London Weighting (pro rata), up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata). We also offer monthly team Learning and Development training sessions, and 15 hours volunteering allowance per year.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and Southwest London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.
At the heart of the hospice are our dedicated clinical staffs. Their exceptional commitment and professionalism is commented on by so many of the supported children and their families.
It costs £10.5 million a year to maintain our current level of care. Only 30% of that income comes from government funding via the NHS or local authorities, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep the service running. We employ 175 staff, including 98 nursing and medical staff, providing hospice and community-based services to around 700 families.
Predominantly we work with families living in the Northwest and Southwest of London and Surrey, although will accept children outside these geographical areas if they do not have access to specialist palliative care support locally. Introduction
Retail and Volunteers Team: Our Retail and Volunteers Team manages our charity shops and volunteer programs, which play a crucial role in supporting our mission. They recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers to staff our shops and assist with various tasks, such as sorting donations and serving customers. Additionally, they oversee the operations of our retail outlets, ensuring that they are efficiently run to generate income for our hospices.
Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
In the absence of the manager or assistant managers to lead a team of volunteers to maximise sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure that the shop premises and assets are maintained to a high standard, according to legal requirements and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices (SSCH) policies and procedures.
Decision Making Authority
The post holder will be required to make decisions on the quality, and suitability of donations before they are placed on sale. Depending on the length of the cover period they may be required to dress the windows. (They will follow price guidelines and existing display layout throughout the shop.)
The post holder will work with eCommerce Manager to decide if items would be suitable for selling at a higher price on eBay or through a promotional event and set these aside for the manager of the shop to deal with on their return.
The post holder will support with rostering of the team of volunteers where necessary and delegation of duties and jobs.

b)Scope of job
The post holder for the duration of the absence of the manager or assistant manager will have control over rostering of the team of staff and volunteers, and delegation of duties and jobs.

Part 2: Main duties and key responsibilities
a) Customer Service – 25%
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints courteously and effectively
• Informing the Head of Volunteer Development and Retail of any serious incidents or complaints
• Ensure that any refunds are processed in line with SSCH refunds policy
• Ensure that the advertised trading hours of the shop are adhered to
• Ensure relevant documents are completed in the event of an incident/accident and reported accordingly
b) Processing donations – 25%
• Process all donations as soon as possible, prioritising Gift Aid and high value items
• Prepare and clean items appropriately for display
• Oversee the recycling and arranging of collections
• Promote Gift Aid is at all available opportunities
• Ensure that the ongoing need for donations is publicised
• Price and ticket all items according to pricing strategy for the shop and ensure that all pricing and ticketing complies with legislation
• Ensure that stock is properly managed and rotated in accordance with latest guidance
• Identify high value or specialist items that may need to be sold in another capacity
c) Merchandising, display and promotion of stock, maintenance of high standards throughout the shop – 20%
• Ensure that all merchandise is displayed attractively and that the window display is eye-catching
• Ensure that there are high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in all areas of the shop

• Support and promote Corporate events as required

d) Sales and financial reporting – 10%
• In the absence of the manager/assistant ensure that daily/weekly financial reports are submitted and that any discrepancies are investigated
• Keep the Head of Volunteer Development and Retail fully informed and updated regarding the performance of the shop and any issues which may impact this
• Ensure that the Manager/Assistant Manager and shop volunteer team are kept informed of the shop’s performance
• Ensure that the till procedures are always followed by volunteers

• The post holder will be able and willing to get to and work in a number of shops and be available across seven days per week.
