Job description

Do you have a genuine passion for fundraising and dog welfare? If so, then this could be the role for you.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres, training schools and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 9,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

We are reliant on voluntary donations in order to continue our work. The Donor Recruitment team is responsible for increasing the Dogs Trust supporter base by recruiting donors across all channels and products, including but not limited to Sponsor a Dog, Regular Giving and Membership.

Reporting to the Direct Dialogue Manager and working alongside our two existing Fundraising Afficers and four Fundraising Officers, you will be responsible for assisting in multiple direct dialogue campaigns across Face to Face and Telephone Fundraising, as well as other areas of donor recruitment such as direct marketing and membership as necessary. This role will require some travel throughout the UK, and some irregular office hours may be necessary from time to time.To be successful in this role you will be a fantastic communicator and a real team player. Ideally, you will have experience in either fundraising or office-based customer service, as well as being organised and attentive to detail. An empathy with Dogs Trust supporters, in particular dog sponsors, is also essential in this post.

In return for all of this, we have a comprehensive benefits package, which includes excellent annual leave and pension allowances, and you will you join a team of highly professional and driven colleagues in a brilliant upbeat and collaborative environment, all with a genuine passion for dog welfare.
