Animal Equality is an international animal protection organisation working with society, governments and companies to end cruelty to farmed animals. Animal Equality has offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and India.

Animal Equality releases investigative materials captured from inside factory farms and slaughterhouses, exposing the conditions that farmed animals face around the world. We publish our findings on television, in newspapers and online. Animal Equality also advocates for political change. Our current campaigns include a UK ban on foie gras imports, increased enforcement of existing animal protection laws, legal protections for farmed fish, and Government subsidies for transitioning towards a plant-based food system.

We focus on farmed animals because of the scale and severity of the issue. More than a billion animals are confined and killed for human consumption every year in the UK. Farmed animals also often suffer in some of the worst ways: pigs typically endure painful mutilations, many chickens die of heart attacks, fish are confined in underwater cages, and some farmed animals are victims of deliberate abuse and neglect. But the problem is solvable! By utilising effective campaigning strategies, Animal Equality is having an impact for animals around the world and building a future where all animals are respected and protected and are no longer exploited for human consumption.

• Strengthening enforcement of animal protection laws.
• Halting the expansion of Scotland’s salmon farming industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Animal Equality’s campaigns have driven Parliamentary debates, legal victories, policy shifts, corporate commitments, mainstream media coverage, and inspired thousands of individuals to change their diets.

We are seeking a creative, driven, and strategic Campaigns Coordinator to deliver our current high-impact campaigns with a view to exposing the cruel animal agriculture industries, influencing decision-makers, and mobilising the public to create lasting change for farmed animals.

Working closely with team members, the Campaigns Coordinator will design and deliver imaginative campaigns while working in alignment with the organisation’s wider mission: to end factory farming. The role requires initiative, creativity, tenacity, and a solutions-focused mindset, as well as the discipline to execute projects effectively and professionally.

The Campaigns Coordinator will report to the Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager and work closely with others across our UK and international teams. You will play a key role in coordinating and inspiring volunteers and external stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Campaign delivery: Drive Animal Equality’s high-impact campaigns, bringing the plight of farmed animals into the public consciousness. Plan, coordinate, and implement imaginative and effective campaign actions that influence policy-makers, businesses, philanthropists, and the public. Produce clear, compelling, and engaging campaign resources.
• Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, experts, regulators, allied organisations, and members of the public to strengthen campaign outcomes.
• Volunteer mobilisation: Grow and energise our Animal Protectors network through training, regular newsletter communication, and opportunities for online and in-person action.
• Peaceful protest coordination: Organise creative, non-violent demonstrations and direct actions that advance campaign objectives and attract media coverage.
• Research and uncovering malpractice: Conduct desk-based research, including FOI requests and collaboration with academics, to uncover questionable industry and regulatory practices, and inform evidence-based campaigns.
• Uncover scandals through desk-based research: Using Freedom of Information requests, conducting research, working with academics, and liaising with concerned members of the public, support the release of exposés that demonstrate the reality of animal agriculture.
• Media generation: Work with Animal Equality’s Marketing and Communications teams to design noteworthy content, ensure strong campaign narratives, and maximise media exposure.
• Support our digital campaigning work: Work alongside colleagues in our international Marketing and Communication Departments to engage the public through our multi-channel communication strategy. Assist with the development of content for our website, social media, YouTube and other platforms to successfully share plans and updates in relation to Animal Equality’s campaign priorities.
• Project management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and objectives are met.
• Campaign evaluation: Monitor, measure, and report on campaign impact, adapting tactics as needed to ensure effectiveness.
• Policy oversight: Stay informed about relevant political and legislative developments to identify opportunities and risks for our campaigns.
• Represent Animal Equality’s culture: Support Animal Equality’s life-saving work by producing high-quality output, embracing and representing the organisation’s culture principles proudly at all times, and supporting our philanthropic efforts.
• Support with other ad hoc duties, as requested by your line manager.

You will be based remotely in the UK. In addition to monthly meet-ups, some travel within the UK may be required for demonstrations, meetings, and events. While not common, occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support campaigning activities. Any additional hours worked and agreed with your Manager can be reclaimed as TOIL.

Area Coordinator – Community Connections

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Area Coordinator to support individuals with their mental wellbeing and help them build resilience and independence.

About the Role

This role will see you managing a caseload of clients, working one-to-one with individuals to create tailored, person-centred support plans. About You

Working hours

Hybrid working

This role will operate on a 'Work from Anywhere' basis, meaning that you can work both from home and/or from one of our 'hubs' that's nearest to where you live. In the North hubs are situated in Leeds and Newcastle; in Scotland, hubs are in Edinburgh and Glasgow; in Northern Ireland the hub is in Bellfast.  However, Barnardo's services are situated throughout both areas and there may be an opportunity to base yourself part time alongside one of our local services.  Some travel may be required.

Senior Family Support Worker (28 hrs a week)

Our client is a vibrant Surrey-based charity, committed to building futures for local people by providing services that support and assist disadvantaged and vulnerable people; their wide range of projects and activities aim to create happy, healthy and connected communities. They are now looking to recruit a dynamic Senior Family Support Worker (part-time, 28 hr a week – days flexible), providing high quality, tailored 1:1 and group support for families with children and young people aged 0-19 yrs old (up to 25 yrs for young adults with additional needs), enabling children and families to achieve and improve outcomes.

As Senior Family Support Worker, you will provide focused 1:1 and group family support, either at our client’s Family Centre in Mole Valley, out in the community or in service user’s own homes, depending on need. As Senior Family Support Worker you will provide support for the family using a variety of interventions including motivational interviewing, solution-focused approaches and accredited parenting strategies. The post holder will be required to work with families as a lone worker and will support the Family Centre Manager in the general running of the Mole Valley Family Centre. You will identify and signpost beneficiaries to a range of specialist agencies who can offer further support and will collect appropriate data and information to ensure accurate programme monitoring and evaluation.

HR Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the HR Administration requirements for Centre 33, including recruitment, training coordination and maintenance of the HR database. As well as supporting the HR Senior Officer with the day to day running of the HR Service.

You will act as the first point of contact for all recruitment and HR related queries from employees and volunteers. You will represent Centre 33 in your communications and be an approachable and open individual with great attention to detail conforming to employment law and internal polices. The successful post holder will support one or two senior team members, including directors or head of departments based at Head Office and the CEO with a range of PA tasks.

Personal Assistant Duties:

· Arranging and supporting meetings.

· Minuting meetings and ensuring accurate records are kept.

· Diary management for senior staff.

· Support to organise meetings virtually and minute take some of the board meetings which will be on a scheduled basis in the evenings periodically.

Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of six staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities   

Fundraising (60%) 

• Ongoing management of a portfolio of charitable trusts and grant-making bodies 

• Researching and maintaining a database of donors including Trusts and Foundations in the UK and overseas to which Temwa could apply for fundin 

• Stewardship of current donors to promote repeat, long-term funding

• Growing the organisation’s fundraising portfolio by submitting funding proposals to new donors, including Trusts, Foundations, and Institutional Donors

• Working to form strategic partnerships with relevant organisations and agencies 

• Developing the organisation’s case for support, including through proposal templates for all projects 

• Working with the Temwa Fundraising Manager and MD on corporate partner engagement

• Supporting fundraising events, and representing Temwa at events and networking meetings 

• The postholder will be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities from time to time - Temwa is a small team, and all staff are occasionally called upon to support the work of others 

Programmes (40%) 

• Supporting project development and budgeting 

• Monitoring progress of projects against targets 

• Assisting with the implementation of agreed programme management systems, including the development of logical frameworks and other monitoring tools 

• Reviewing internal reports and leading on all donor reports 

• Supporting development of Impact and Annual Reports as well as Temwa’s other capability statements

• Liaising with the Malawi office on programme queries related to UK fundraising and programmes 

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements: 

The ideal applicant would have the following attributes: 

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in work experience 

• Experience of fundraising, including trust and grant fundraising, with proven track record of securing income against set targets 

• Knowledge and experience of writing compelling and persuasive fundraising applications/reports

• Experience in researching trusts, foundations, and a variety of fundraising prospects, including corporate partnerships and grant opportunities 

• Experience of building good relationships with staff, external funding bodies and supporters 

• Experience of working on any international development project 

• An understanding and empathy for international development work 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail 

• Ability to work with competing priorities to tight deadlines 

• Highly proficient in the use of Google Workspace and MS Office, particularly Excel

We are looking for an Intake and Navigation Coordinator to be a key member of the Intake and Navigation Team, supporting our service users from the point of first contact.

About the role
As a key member of the Intake and Navigation team, you will be serving as the first point of contact for service users accessing health and wellbeing support. In this frontline role, you will respond to live inbound calls and online support requests, often involving individuals with complex needs, high levels of presenting risk, and vulnerable Service Users.

You will be responsible for conducting triage to identify immediate risks, prioritise presenting needs, and determine eligibility for services. Focusing on those who are most vulnerable, you will need to exercise sound judgement and professional accountability in ensuring that urgent and high-risk cases are escalated appropriately, managed sensitively, and supported effectively.

Your duties will include providing clear information, advice, and signposting, making internal referrals for assessment and ongoing support, and conducting follow-up calls to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.

You will play a vital role in safeguarding and ensuring that service users with complex or escalating needs are navigated to the right support quickly and compassionately.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have experience of:

• a helpline, crisis line, or front-facing triage role within health, mental health, or social care settings
• assessing and managing high-risk, complex, or vulnerable service users, including safeguarding situations

• using structured triage or risk assessment tools to prioritise and manage service user enquiries

Key Duties

• Fundraising activity – preparing compelling and bespoke proposals tailored to donor requirements, ensuring effective stewardship of charitable trust and foundation major gifts within CHEM Trust’s portfolio by building relationships and providing on-time reports and updates.
• Working cross-organisationally, to ensure relevant information is obtained from CHEM Trust’ team members in a timely fashion to report to funders in advance of deadlines.
• Timeline management – keeping an accurate track of the necessary reporting and application deadlines and ensuring these are communicated in good time to relevant team members.
• Developing relationships and networking – including excellent donor stewardship to existing funders and using events, meetings, talks and inspirational writing to help charitable trusts learn about CHEM Trust’s work and understand the difference we are making.
• Recording and maintaining accurate funding data, ensuring records are kept and effectively managed and that CHEM Trust’s fundraising team operates within GDPR.
• Good team working - daily interaction with the fundraising team, wider CHEM Trust team, funding partners and others, plus possible interaction with trustees.
• Leading on the writing of the annual report, tailoring it to be a key document that prospective funders can use to get a succinct overview of CHEM Trust’s vision, goals, and achievements.
