The Opportunity
We are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Business Development Team and make a significant contribution to delivery of the charity’s high quality services to children and young people, providing them with opportunities and inspiration to enable them to achieve their potential, create a positive future for themselves and open doors to their success.

3. Developing and maintaining an annual calendar of community fundraising activities.

6. Working with delivery team colleagues to ensure funders’ reports are completed on time and to a high standard.

In this new, impactful role, you will be responsible for mobilising and subsequently continuously improving a new network engagement and support function. The aim of the function is to significantly enhance the understanding the of needs, views and priorities of local Age UKs and the way in which the national organisation connects with, engages, and supports them.
Working collaboratively with local Age UKs and national teams, the Director of Network Engagement & Support will be responsible for developing and implementing a network engagement and support strategy. This includes driving forward changes that may include the type of support provided, the way in which it is delivered and how it is monitored and measured to ensure our approach is responsive, sustainable and supports the strategic objectives and operational needs of the network.
This will require collaborative working across a range of teams to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach. This role and team will engage directly with local Age UK leadership, be the owner of the organisational overview of the network and network interactions, ensuring risks and issues are appropriately managed and that there is an effective and transparent flow of information across the organisation and network including into formal governance mechanisms.
The Director of Network Engagement & Support will ensure the effective delivery and operation of several formal and informal network engagement activities, for example Chief Officer induction. Whilst taking responsibility for providing team strategic direction and management to achieve objectives, the role holder is also expected to be a visible and constructive participant within both the wider Age UK senior management team and the senior team of the Network division.

About the role
The Director of Operations leads all our member-facing services and operations to ensure that these services run effectively. Duchenne UK is an ambitious, dynamic and impactful charity. Following their sons’ diagnosis of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), Emily Reuben and Alex Johnson founded Duchenne UK in 2012.
DMD is a devastating progressive condition diagnosed in early childhood which causes all the muscles in the body to gradually weaken. There are currently only very limited treatment options for DMD, so Emily and Alex set up Duchenne UK to change this.
Since 2012, we have raised more than £27 million to end the devastating impact of DMD. We fund ground-breaking scientific research to find effective treatments. We’ve developed the infrastructure of DMD clinical trial delivery in the UK. We engage industry and regulators to accelerate access to treatments. We have a new opportunity to join our team and build on these achievements. We are recruiting for a Director of Income Generation, who will be a key part of our senior leadership team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission.
The Director of Income Generation will work collaboratively across the organisation to oversee and grow all of Duchenne UK’s income streams including fundraising, commercial engagement, and new business opportunities.
The Director of Income Generation will report to the CEO and sit on the Senior Leadership team, working closely alongside the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance.

About the role
At a strategic level this role is responsible for leading on all aspects of income, including fundraising, commercial engagement, and new business opportunities, leading the development and delivery of a bold and effective income strategy to support our organisational ambitions and future sustainability.
The Director of Income Generation will inspire and develop the charity’s income team, taking overall responsibility for setting and achieving income targets for the organisation. They will ensure a collaborative and integrated approach to income generation across the organisation.

Job Description
Income Generation
- Aligned to the organisational strategy, designing and delivering Duchenne UK’s income generation strategy, establishing a delivery plan to hit targets across a diverse range of income streams, including community fundraising, events, trusts and foundations, major donors, research and development grants and commercial income.
- Oversee the process and systems of managing funders and new business opportunities, including overseeing the charity’s CRM system (Salesforce) to support a high end and holistic approach to the account management of funders and stakeholders.
- Set, monitor and deliver annual income and expenditure targets.
- Attend meetings with funders and prospects, and networking events to uncover new opportunities, including management of Duchenne UK’s Development Board.
- Developing and growing the income pipeline, working closely with the Research and Development team to identify funding for existing and pipeline projects.
- Support the team to develop professional and engaging materials including fundraising proposition, applications, proposals, appeals, pitches and reports.
- Proactively seek-out and identify new trends and developments and make recommendations to Duchenne UK.
- Oversee reporting to ensure the preparation and timely submission of reports on progress on objectives, budgets and targets.

Our Business Development Team is integral to the success of our organisation and we are looking for a motivated, driven and proactive individual to join us as a Business Development Manager . The Group Finance Director holds a key role in the executive team in the Foundation Office of the Charity. They are accountable for all matters relating to the UWGCF Charity finance, including the oversight of school income, endowment investments, loans, subsidiary companies, VAT, and the leadership of the Foundation finance team. To succeed in the job, the post holder needs to build effective working relationships with independent school bursars and finance teams and link effectively with the Business managers in the state funded academies.
The UWGCF is a complex organisation, and the post holder will need to demonstrate a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective and supportive working relationships with other and be prepared to engage fully in the work of the Foundation.
