About the role
The Marketing and Communications Manager is a brand-new role to the organisation. This provides a great opportunity for the successful candidate to make the role their own as they support the organisation to reach and work with more centres in the formal and informal education landscapes.

Role purpose:

Main duties and responsibilities

Performance analysis: Track, analyse, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

Budget coordination: Work with the Head of MarComms to support the management and monitoring of the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, providing analysis of return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities.

Advice Service Delivery Manager
The newly created Advice & Support Team plays a key role in delivering Battersea’s increased strategic focus on early intervention in the pet ownership journey. By offering well-timed expert and empathetic support and advice before owners reach crisis point, the team aims to prevent avoidable animal welfare issues and reduce the number of pets relinquished for preventable reasons.
A key service in this area is the Behaviour Advice Line (BAL), currently delivered by our Animal Behaviour Team. This new role exists to lead the development of a clear, evidence-based service model and plan to transform the line into a cost-effective multi-channel service that delivers measurably improved impact for owners and their pets.
The role is for one year with the outcome to develop a detailed service model and associated change plan and budget, that is evidence based, co-designed and in alignment with the future Advice and Support strategy and Operations structure. Iterative changes should be identified for service improvement within the year and a business case for investment produced by the end of July 2026.

Person Specification

Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
- Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
- Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.
Write applications and reports
- Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
- Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
- Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
- Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner.
Data Management and Monitoring
- Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
- Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.
Line Management
- Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe. The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe.
The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer. This position requires excellent relationship management, organisational and communication skills.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, processing collections (through ULI CT or ULI Europe) and preparing donor reports in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.
- Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team.
- Collaborate closely with team members of the ULI Europe business Development and Membership team, in addition to ULI’s country directors and governance director to support the planning of, and coordinate the implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy determined by ULI Europe (namely by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee), focusing on both donations from individuals based in Europe and donations from European philanthropic foundations and government programmes;
- Work with and manage relationships with individual and institutional donors, in close collaboration with the corporate accounts team, CEO, ULI Europe and the Chair of the Charitable Trust / Chair of the ULIF Europe Committee;
- Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies;
- Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
- Set up and implement application, reporting and compliance process for philanthropic gifts for ULI Europe.

We are looking for someone to support our programmes and institutional fundraising with excellent writing skills, who is passionate about addressing the root causes of and inequalities caused by conflict. You will be someone passionate about the work Cord does and who can bring technical institutional funding expertise alongside peacebuilding knowledge to our small and committed team.
In this role you will lead the development of new programmes and institutional funding bids in line with Cord’s peacebuilding approach and 5 main programme areas. You will manage proposal submissions to Cord's key donors such as the EU, US State Department, GIZ, SDC, UN Peacebuilding Fund etc. You will be working closely with country teams to design and write proposals based on strong project designs developed in partnership with our local partners.
The role will also operate at a strategic level by managing Cord’s relationships with key donors and shaping how Cord communicates about its programmes and the added-value that Cord brings.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of our Active Journeys South and East team covering projects across London and South East, where you will help shape healthier, happier communities through walking, wheeling, and cycling.
As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and oversight of behaviour change and engagement projects, as well as leading and supporting the delivery team. You’ll be at the heart of creating positive change, ensuring projects are cost-efficient, timely, and impactful.
You will be involved with exciting projects such as Wheels4Me London and Moveability (East Sussex) funded by the Motability Foundation. Exploring how cities can improve accessibility by involving disabled people in decision-making, with the goal of creating more inclusive and equitable transportation systems.
This role will require travel and work at various locations across London and the Southeast area as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
About you
You will bring a solid understanding of active travel and the barriers faced by communities experiencing inequalities, alongside knowledge or practical experience in behaviour change concepts and approaches.
You will have demonstrable experience in:
- Managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, particularly those with a strong emphasis on community engagement.
- Facilitating workshops and delivering presentations to diverse audiences, both in person and online.
- Communicating effectively across a range of formats and with varied audiences.
You are a skilled problem solver with excellent organisational abilities, capable of managing and prioritising work across multiple projects to meet deadlines and targets.
