Job description

My client is a major brand in the international development sector. Operating worldwide, they help to change the lives and futures of some of the world’s most vulnerable people on a daily basis. At present they are looking for a high calibre interim Business Partner to join their world class finance team to provide additional support to their transformation programme for the next 2 to 3 months.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on the development of the current year and Multiyear Strategic Budgeting process in line with the global ambitions
  • Lead on production of monthly Global work stream Financial analysis and rolling forecast report;  providing detailed commentary and action points required for monthly decision making
  • Ongoing provision of information regarding allocation of contingency within the portfolio.
  • To work in partnership with Project Managers and Project Leads to track delivery of project cost against budget and ensure early identification of potential variances to budget and impact on the portfolio.
  • Support and provide evidence based financial advice to Transformation Delivery Leadership Team and PMO on adherence to budget.
  • Act as a key contact point with the management of the project, providing guidance and advice and dealing with all finance-related queries.
  • Lead and develop internal processes as required to ensure high quality finance support to business partners.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with extensive Project Accounting and Management reporting experience in a large and complex organisation. They will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and ideally some donor reporting and grant accounting experience. This could also be a fantastic opportunity for a strong Finance Business Partner from outside the sector to gain experience at a leading INGO.
