The 2021 Census shows that around 36% of Camden’s households are now made up of private renters, and in the Haverstock and Primrose Hill wards, where this project will operate, it’s 27% and 35% respectively. This group of residents is often unaware of what services are out there to help them, where they are located, and how they access them.

This new role has been created to outreach and engage with private renters in the 2 wards specified and it will also include information production, dissemination and project management work. The worker will set up the project and is the key person in ensuring the smooth delivery of it in line with its stated aims and objectives.

Please note: You will need to be based in/around London for this role as it involves work within specific locations in the London Borough of Camden and is not suitable for home working or long distance travelling.

As our Applications Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting and maintaining our core business applications, ensuring systems are secure, up to date and delivering value. You’ll work across application patching, software deployment, licensing and compliance, with a strong focus on collaboration across teams and suppliers.

We’re looking for someone with experience in supporting enterprise applications, experienced with Microsoft Intune, who is highly organised and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You’ll have a strong understanding of security and compliance, and a drive to keep learning and improving the way we use our technology.

We’ve just secured five years of National Lottery funding to create a brand-new Community Hub in Bexley. This will be a truly shared space—designed with and for our members—where people with a learning disability, autistic people, and the wider community can come together, connect, and grow.

About the role

 As Community Hub Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the launch and development of this exciting new space. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the Hub, support and line-manage a small team (including staff with lived experience of learning disability or autism), and co-design a wide variety of services, events, and partnerships with our members and community.

You’ll also work with other local organisations and charities to expand the support on offer—exploring exciting ideas like social enterprises, creative groups, advice drop-ins or a community café. This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be welcoming people and helping with a session, other days you’ll be planning future activities, liaising with partners, or exploring funding ideas. No two days will be the same.

About You

 You’re proactive, passionate, and organised. You love bringing people together, creating welcoming spaces, and making things happen.

You’ll have experience of managing community-facing services, working with diverse groups (ideally including people with learning disabilities or autistic people), and leading a team.

You’re happy rolling up your sleeves to get things done—and you’re confident developing new ideas, building partnerships, and planning activities.  Being a car driver is a plus (but not essential), and some evening or weekend working may be required. The Hearing Voices Projects Support Worker will play a vital role in ensuring that those who need our services receive kind and compassionate support. The role involves a mix of frontline support work, administrative support, and working closely with the rest of the team to build and further develop our services. Therefore, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisation skills.

Within the Hearing Voices Projects, lots of opportunities arise for networking, collaboration, and professional development, which can lead to some fun and interesting pieces of work. We are looking for someone with knowledge of peer support and a range of perspectives on mental health to join our Hearing Voices Projects team and to help us support the people who need our services.

The Hearing Voices Projects have a global reputation for offering compassionate, person-centred support that avoids pathologising experiences, especially those that are often highly stigmatised.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Work with partner organisations to establish hearing voices peer support groups in addition to organising and facilitating existing groups.
• Offer support to a range of people who hear voices and/or have other sensory experiences or difficult beliefs (at the moment, primarily young people and their families) in a variety of ways (email, Zoom, phone, face-to-face).
• Deal with enquiries and offer information to interested stakeholders.
• Facilitate focus groups and support young people’s involvement in a range of areas.
• Support relevant data monitoring and evaluation on the projects.
