In this new role the Impact and Evaluation Manager will be critical to helping Bite Back demonstrate and strengthen the difference we make for young people, funders, partners, and wider society. You will lead the organisation’s approach to measuring, evaluating and learning from our work – ensuring that youth voice is at the heart of how we design, assess and communicate our impact.
You will manage Bite Back’s relationships with external evaluators, develop and track organisational KPIs, and work closely with programme and fundraising colleagues, trustees and funders to ensure we can evidence our outcomes clearly and compellingly. This role will also develop creative ways to tell the story of our impact – from robust evaluation reports through to case studies that bring young people’s voices to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Impact and Evaluation Manager is accountable for:
Strategy and Theory of Change

Working closely with the CEO to lead Bite Back’s organisational impact strategy, including refining and maintaining our theory of change.

Translating our theory of change into clear outcomes, indicators and learning questions that guide programme design, campaigns and organisational priorities.

Designing and overseeing Bite Back’s impact measurement framework.
Data Systems and Standards
- Leading on the collection, analysis and reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring that youth voice and lived experience shape Bite Back’s evaluation approaches.

Supporting the development and monitoring of KPIs across the organisation, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Leadership Team.
Donor monitoring and evaluation

Working with fundraising and programme teams to design robust monitoring, evaluation and learning plans for funding bids, including developing outcomes frameworks, indicators, and evaluation budgets that align with Bite Back’s broader organisational impact framework.

Working closely with the Senior Grants and Fundraising Manager to ensure Bite Back meets its impact and reporting commitments to funders.

Leading on the development of Bite Back’s annual impact report and supporting the production of other compelling case studies, impact reports and evaluation outputs to communicate Bite Back’s effectiveness to funders, trustees, partners, the media and wider audiences
Building a Learning Culture

Managing relationships with external evaluators, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.

Building evaluation capacity across the team, providing tools, training and support to colleagues to embed a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Embedding equity, diversity and inclusion principles in Bite Back’s impact and evaluation work, ensuring methods are inclusive, accessible and reflective of the communities we work with.

Sightsavers is looking for an experienced Projects and Events professional to support an exciting and high-profile event taking place in Q2 2026.
Salary: £27,526 - £32,384 pro rata
Location: UK remote - with occasional travel to Haywards Heath and London

About the role
We are looking for a confident and organised Projects and Events Executive to plan, support and help to deliver a high-profile event taking place in Quarter 2 of 2026. About you
As the Projects and Events Executive, you will be highly organised with excellent communication skills, including experience of diplomatic and professional liaison with external stakeholders. You will utilise your exceptional time, budget and project management skills in all logistical aspects of the planning and delivery of the event, including volunteer management, accessibility requirements and meeting deliverables and deadlines. A commitment to equality, excellent writing skills and an understanding of accessibility requirements will underpin your work.
Hours
The Projects and Events Executive role can initially be worked in a part time capacity although it will need to increase to full time in the month leading up to the event; flexibility is required in the lead up to and during the event to work occasional unsociable hours and travel within the UK.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
· Proven experience of managing and delivering high profile events or projects
· Demonstrable experience in a role that demanded exceptional organisational skills and communication skills
· Experience of managing volunteers and / or teams
· Experience of liaising effectively with external stakeholders and donors

About the role
This new Lead role sits within the Design Council Programmes Team led by the Chief Design Officer and has responsibility for leading the development and embedding of our funding strategy. Coordinating income generation of ~£2m per year including securing £250k of philanthropic (T&Fs, corporates, other sources) funding in the first year, the role also has the objective of growing overall revenue but in line with the refreshed Design Council business and funding model to ensure it remains strategically aligned and sustainable.
Reporting to the Head of Programmes with a dotted line to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for oversight of the overall revenue pipeline, working across the organisation to have full line of sight of funding opportunities and partnerships and ensure a consistent approach to how we generate revenue.
You will drive an effective stakeholder engagement plan, working closely with the Communications team to ensure campaigns and events help build and maintain a strong network of funder relationships and strengthening our profile as a charity.
The scope covers directly securing philanthropic/corporate partner funding as well as supporting wider commercial income generation and also ensuring they are all anchored in our Theory of Change and enable long term income growth.
Our core programmes of work support delivery of our Theory of Change encompassing Skills, Capability, Innovation and Research. We are looking to create and grow funding partnerships through a variety of activities including events, learning and training and world leading research, and the Fundraising and Partnerships Lead will play a critical role in developing funding relationships, securing them, both directly and also supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilties
1. New Funding Generation and Planning

Lead the identification of new revenue opportunities across the range of Design Council propositions with the objective of growing total revenue base, in line with the Design Council funding strategy and business model

Overall accountability for converting philanthropic (T&Fs, corporate sponsorship etc) opportunities into secured new partnership funding and supporting on conversion of funding partnerships for other commercial (paid project) work

Working closely with Chief Design Office, Head of Programmes and in particularly the Programme Leads to ensure each area of work (Skills, Capability, Innovation and Research) has an appropriate funding plan including a roadmap for future development

2. Partner Cultivation and Stewardship

4. Event Planning and Execution

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a driven, self-motivated and hands-on individual, with a track record of securing funding from a range of sources and growing revenue in a national not-for-profit or commercial organisation.
You will be ambitious for Design Council’s aspiration of reaching £8m revenue by 2031 and be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and experience of developing revenue generation strategies and converting opportunities into secured income.
You will also know that fundraising is challenging and competitive, so you will be resilient and experienced in building the relationships that can secures six-figure+ multi-year income. Therefore you need to be brilliant at building external networks, joining the dots and seeing opportunities to connect people and ideas for the benefit of organisational strategy.
You must also be excellent at building and nurturing relationships, with a wide range of external stakeholders, and also effectively collaborate internally across the organisation.
You are a natural salesperson, able to identify opportunities and have compelling conversations that lead to partnerships and revenue.
This is a growing role with lots of moving parts, so we’re looking for a someone who is flexible and adaptable, who proactively identifies challenges and opportunities.
You are passionate about our Design for Planet and Green Design Skills missions and demonstrate an ability to think strategically as well as commercially and work collaboratively.
Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience fundraising / revenue generation in a commercial or not-for-profit sector organisation
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or foundations

TRAIN is a youth work charity based in South Oxfordshire. We support young people aged 10 to 18 in Didcot, Wallingford and the surrounding areas, especially those who are under-served.
Young people in our communities are facing complex challenges. Mental health struggles, pressures at school, family instability and the impact of poverty can leave them feeling isolated or overlooked. Too often, they don’t have access to the right support at the right time. TRAIN exists to change that. ABOUT THE ROLE
As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, your main focus will be trusts and foundations: researching opportunities, writing persuasive applications and producing clear reports. You’ll also play a part in growing support from corporates, community fundraising, individual donors and major gifts, helping to build a broader base of income over time.
Alongside this, you’ll lead on communications. That means keeping our website and social channels current, producing supporter newsletters, and sharing our story more widely through PR and campaigns. You’ll help make sure the difference TRAIN makes for young people is seen and understood by funders, partners and the local community.
It’s a hands-on role, well-suited to someone who enjoys writing, building relationships and juggling different projects. You don’t need to be an experienced fundraiser — we’re open to people with transferable skills, whether from corporate, public or third sector backgrounds. What matters most is that you can communicate clearly, organise your workload, and are motivated by making a difference for young people.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the rest of the team. This is a part-time role of approximately 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. The role is based in Didcot with hybrid working, but for the right candidate we will consider a fully remote arrangement.

Pipeline and planning – work with the CEO to keep a clear fundraising plan, with trusts and foundations as the main focus alongside manageable growth in corporates, community, and individual giving.

Trusts and foundations – research prospects, build a live pipeline, and write strong, tailored bids. Prepare accurate budgets and gather evidence from the team to strengthen proposals.

Reporting and stewardship – deliver timely reports, thank funders and donors well, and manage renewals and uplift opportunities.

Relationship development – nurture links with local businesses, community groups and potential major donors. Prepare simple proposals and support fundraising events or activities as needed.

Systems and compliance – maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Ensure fundraising activity is compliant with GDPR and charity regulations.
Communications (approx. 20%)

Supporter communications – produce engaging newsletters, updates and thank-yous that connect donors and partners with TRAIN’s impact.

Digital presence – update the website and social media channels with accurate, timely content that reflects TRAIN’s work and values.

PR and profile – share stories with local media, partners and networks. Ensure TRAIN’s messaging is clear, consistent and accessible.

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising, enabling individuals, communities and companies to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. As well as driving registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and managing these relationships to maximise income.
The Online Fundraising Team is key to the success of SLF as they work across Regional, Sporting Events, Marketing and Corporate teams to drive a future focussed department, exploring new technologies, audiences and opportunities for ARUK, testing the potential of these and advising other teams on how to capitalise on these.
The role of Online Fundraising Manager will work with the Senior Central Fundraising Manager to identify the strategy for the team, lead fundraising campaigns, and develop new propositions and ways of working for the team, department and wider organisation. This role will line manage two Online Fundraising Team Officers and one Online Fundraising Executive to support SLF in delivering our strategy and meet our departmental annual income target.

What we are looking for:

· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: Circa £43,000 per annum, plus benefits
