Working closely with the Director of Children, Young People, Families & Engagement, the Fundraising Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll play a key role in strengthening engagement, supporting fundraising, and ensuring lived experience sits at the heart of everything we communicate.
About the role
- Lead day‑to‑day delivery of Centre 404’s communications across digital channels, campaigns and publications
- Maintain an engaging, accessible and consistent presence across our website, social media and e‑communications
- Create high‑quality, audience‑focused content that brings our work and impact to life
- Handle stories and case studies sensitively and ethically, in line with safeguarding and confidentiality standards

The Partnership Development Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK prides itself on delivering sector-leading partnerships. We are a friendly, collaborative, and ambitious team driven by our goal to fund vital dementia research and ultimately find a cure for dementia.
Our Partnership Development Officer is responsible for establishing and managing some of our corporate partnerships under the guidance of the Partnership Development Manager (PDM). This role will hold and develop strong long-term relationships with key stakeholders within some of our highest-level corporate donors.
You’ll have some experience in relationship management and project management skills, as well as attention to detail and an organised approach to a busy and varied workload. These skills will have been developed in either a charity or corporate role.
The Partnership Development Team sits within the Corporate Fundraising function, which is part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships Directorate. We collaborate closely with all teams across the charity, so communication, collaboration, and strong relationship skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the PDM, hold responsibility for the account management for our corporate supporters. Acting as the day-to-day contact point for the company and its staff, overseeing all partnership activity, and ensuring the highest standard of supporter care at all times.
· Work closely with the PDM to implement new partnership set-ups, create and execute partnership engagement and fundraising calendars and reporting methods.
· Respond promptly and professionally to your accounts, ensuring high-level customer service is maintained from across the charity.
· With the support of the PDM, create and support Partner Charity Committees and Ambassador networks.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Leadership Team.
· Effectively communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
· Offer extensive, creative fundraising ideas to support partner companies, using support from the PDM and the wider Partnership Development Team.
· Assist with the organisation of innovative, engaging corporate fundraising events and attend events where relevant.
· Ensure partnership activity follows policies, procedures and regulations; and that each partnership follows the legal and accounting rules ARUK has in place.
· Ensure effective management of all partnership activity, clearly communicating progress.
· Support the PDM to identify and pursue opportunities to broaden and lengthen relationships, creating multifaceted partnerships.
· Together with the PDM, work closely with the communications team to create clear partnership communication plans and ensure corporate fundraising press opportunities are maximised and the impact is communicated clearly to the partner company.
· Achieve agreed financial and non-financial targets, to include partnership income and stewardship goals. Monitor and track quarterly changes against financial goals and ensure this is effectively communicated both externally and internally to inform quarterly re-forecasts.
· Work proactively with employees at all levels within the companies you are supporting to maximise potential income.
Support the PDM and Senior Partnership Development Manager (SPDM) in executing the corporate fundraising strategy for ARUK, to increase the team’s income.
· Work with the PDM to ensure that the most appropriate use is made of internal and external contacts to support the work of ARUK, identifying networking, influencing and engagement opportunities.
· Ensure the operational delivery of the Partnership Development Team’s strategy through your partnerships.
· Ensure new business prospects within partnerships are identified and passed to the New Business Team.
· Undertake project work as requested by the PDM to increase engagement with ARUK from within our corporate partners and develop Alzheimer’s Research UK’s offering to our partners.
· Share any learnings with the team.
Represent the charity professionally in a high-level corporate context
· When representing the charity externally, influence and engage external contacts at all levels to maximise corporate fundraising potential.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments within the dementia research field.
· Communicate confidently about the research we are funding and dementia/ARUK more broadly. Including presenting to large audiences.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Building and maintaining high-level relationships through networking and influence both internally and externally.
· Confidence working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
· Ability to ensure effective reporting with partnerships when tracking charity income via various sources, including our CRM system.
· Ability to execute projects from beginning to end under the guidance of a line manager.
· Experience in tracking income and identifying any risks or upside in target attainment.
· Good account management and relationship management skills in either a charity or corporate role; transferable sales or marketing skills also relevant.
· Effective planning, prioritisation and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

· A confident and friendly manner; would feel at ease representing the charity to high-level external contacts.

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of Alzheimer's Research UK’s Supporter Experience strategy. This is a transformation programme and requires a leader who can not only lead a team but support an organisation to work collaboratively to enhance supporters trust, satisfaction and connection with their relationship with Alzheimer’s Research UK, recognising the importance of their role in helping to get to a cure.
The Head of Supporter Experience will lead two critical teams who all contribute to delivering our Supporter Experience; the Supporter Operations function which include both Supporter Relations (front end) and Fundraising Operations (back end) and the Supporter Engagement and Journeys team. But you’ll also work collaboratively to improve our Supporter Experience across the organisation – including those who give money, time, voice influence and deliver our mission (partners and researchers).
You will champion, design and oversee the implementation a personal, relevant and tailored experience – either through direct responsibilities or through influence, coaching and inspiring colleagues across the organisation to ensure that we are delivering our brand and supporter experience principles consistently across all supporter touch points and communications.
You’ll bring expertise in designing and delivering marketing personalisation and data automation through frameworks and tools meaning you’ll be data literate and experienced in implementing and embedding a martech approach. But most importantly you’ll be passionate about giving supporters a fantastic experience so that they stay longer, do more and feel like a valued part of getting to a cure for dementia.
You will be part of an Individual Giving and Legacy leadership team who will work collaboratively to deliver a joined-up mass income growth strategy, ensuring that we deliver a diverse product portfolio, exceptional supporter experience, and high performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Experience Leadership:
· Lead and own the Supporter Experience Transformation Programme, providing strategic leadership which enables the successful implementation and ongoing integration of our Supporter Experience strategy across the organisation to achieve its long-term goals.
· Develop a high performing Supporter Experience team, creating synergy and consistency of our supporter relations, operations and supporter engagement (journeys and loyalty comms).
· Coach and inspire colleges across the organisation, working collaboratively to embed supporter principles and journey frameworks to support the delivery of our organisation objectives within time, money and voice, leading for our holistic and joined up experience, moving us away from product / audience silos.
· Work with Fundraising Heads on how Supporter Experience can grow their income, and provide support with income modelling and budgets for long term income forecasts and annual ops planning cycles.
· Representing Supporter Experience on key programme boards and working groups to maximise our internal engagement and understanding of our Supporter Experience priorities and activity, but to also optimise our Supporter Experience by understanding the prioritise across the organisation.
Technical leadership:
· You will be responsible for ensuring Fundraising Operations are integrated, automated, compliant and efficient, not just within your own teams, but also across all of fundraising, marketing, communications and engagement.
· Always champion the supporter, working closely with our Head of Marketing Planning and Head of Insight and BI Teams to record, track and utilise supporter insights and Supporter Experience performance data to optimise our Supporter Experience Strategy.
· Responsible for ensuring we are utilising our martech tools and capabilities, and working closely with Digital, Data and Technology to ensure we deliver the most efficient and effective supporter journeys that feel personal, relevant and timely for our supporters.
· Responsible for keeping up to date on latest thinking, tools and technology for delivering effective Supporter Experiences.
Team management:
· Lead the Supporter Experience team, ensuring clarity of team purpose and vision, and driving high performance at all levels, and ensure the team is structured effectively for high performance and delivery of our growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
1. Income Generation
· Maximise fundraising and revenue opportunities through community engagement delivering a number of community based initiatives to generate income over the year.
· Lead on delivery of the fundraising strategy to maximise funding opportunities.
· Developing Business links to encourage fundraising from the business community & to develop lasting partnerships.
· Research trust and foundations and write targeted applications to support our work and achieve fundraising targets.
· Use your passion and creativity to identify innovative ways to attract funding that we can then deploy.
· Work with volunteers to create a fundraising team who will deliver income generation activities.
· Manage the income generation activities and income generation steams and monitor them for efficiency and value.
· Proactively research and identify suitable local events, fairs, and community activities where the charity can have a presence.
· Manage the full process of registering the organisation for these events, including submitting applications and arranging any required payments.
· Complete and submit all necessary risk assessments or compliance documentation to ensure safe and accountable participation.

2. Awareness

· Give a range of talks and presentations to local organisations to increase awareness and support for Pathway that will then generate income opportunities.

3. General Duties
- Work with the Volunteer Officer to create a cohesive team of fundraising volunteers who will support events and activities to generate income.
- Help to support and train volunteers / peer mentors in gaining experience and skills so they are confident to deliver fundraising activities without staff support.
- To manage and maintain effective records of activities and income generated so this can be evaluated.
- To record and manage donations of goods and services as well as gift vouchers so we have accurate records of usage
- Lead on standard merchandise production and of items such as pens and other logo items as well as the hidden phone number items.
- Be the primary point of contact for all promotional or networking opportunities and working with the Head of Enabling Services and the CEO to maintain those relationships.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the public fundraising team – overseeing the recruitment and retention of individual supporters and community organisations through appeals, regular giving, in-memory, challenge events and fundraising activities.
About you
You will need:
- Significant experience working in the public fundraising environment with specialism in one of the following: Individual Giving, Community & Events or Legacy & In-Memory fundraising.
- Experience in line management and supervision, providing support and leadership.
- Experience of developing donor journeys and delivering excellent supporter stewardship to retain donors.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced, driven and creative Marketing and Events Manager who brings a genuine passion for fundraising and events — and the skills to match. This is not primarily a desk-based marketing role: you will be the engine behind our events programme and a key driver of our fundraising income.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the planning and delivery of CWC’s events calendar, manage our fundraising activities, and oversee the work of the Marketing and Events Officer. You will be equally comfortable developing the strategy and getting stuck into the detail of execution.
Events will be at the heart of what you do. You will take ownership of our flagship event, coordinate a varied programme of fundraising events, sector conferences and networking activities, and ensure every event is professionally delivered and leaves supporters feeling connected to our mission. Fundraising will be a core focus. About the role
The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.
This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

This commission covers the Development Phase of a Heritage Fund-supported capital project and the period during which the Delivery Phase application is being assessed. The Fundraiser will collaborate closely with the client team, project manager and stakeholders throughout.
The redevelopment of Benton End seeks to:
- Conserve and restore the Grade II* listed house and associated gardens structures
- Create inclusive and accessible facilities for learning, exhibitions, and residencies
- Respect and celebrate the site’s layered heritage, including its significance in queer history
- Embed sustainability and environmental responsibility in all design choices
- Enable operational and financial sustainability through a mixed-use business model
The fundraising consultant will be responsible for raising a total of £2.7m by December 2027. This comprises £1.8m in gifts or pledges in order to match-fund The National Lottery Heritage Fund’s Delivery Phase grant of £2.65m; and the remainder to support additional output costs at Benton End.
The consultant will be expected to lead on the following areas:
- Review the Fundraising process for the Development Phase of the project in partnership with the client team
- Review the existing Fundraising Strategy submitted to the Heritage Fund (see tender pack)
- Re-develop, update and deliver a comprehensive Fundraising Strategy to achieve the necessary match funding for the Delivery Phase of the project including phased targets, pipeline planning, and approach methodology
- Identify potential funding sources, including charitable trusts and foundations, major individual donors, philanthropic legacy leads (including those with interests in art, horticulture, LGBTQIA+ causes, and regional heritage), corporate supporters and in-kind contributors
- Cross check all potential funding sources and potential prospects with the client team, paying particular attention to the Garden Museum’s other fundraising programmes, existing funders and live/upcoming campaigns
- Produce a detailed fundraising plan with goals, milestones, specific targets and details of which funding sources will be approached at each stage of the campaign
- Support cultivation of key prospects, including advising on pitches, proposals, and relationship management and leading these where appropriate
- Develop a 'Case for Support' and campaign materials tailored to different audiences
- Work with the client team to ensure fundraising aligns with Heritage Fund Delivery Phase submission (August 2027), Activity and Interpretation Plans and capital delivery timelines and cash flow needs
- Provide reports on all fundraising activity and data collected, in formats that are compatible with the client team’s CRM
- Support the implementation of the live campaign: tracking targets, overseeing donor communications, and managing asks
The selected consultant should have:
- A strong track record of raising capital funds in the arts, culture, or heritage sector
- Experience working with national funders (e.g. trusts/foundations, High Net Worth Individuals, and corporates)
- Knowledge of Heritage Fund processes and expectations
- Experience in creating compelling cases for support, particularly for multidisciplinary projects (art, heritage, gardens, LGBTQIA+ history)
- Sensitivity to inclusive fundraising and community engagement
- Strategic thinking with a collaborative and proactive working style
The budget for the fundraising consultant's fee is a maximum of £36,000 excl VAT, to include all travel and expenses and with an expectation that the consultant will be on site regularly at Benton End, Hadleigh, Suffolk.
This consultant will report into the Project Manager, but will also work very closely with the Garden Museum Development Director and the Benton End Board.
